Have used Blossom Hill 3 X's over a 3 yr period/Pre Covid, as an individual. I am REALLY upset that they have discontinued accepting orders from individuals !! I ordered the 18 pack sampler, as well as additional orders, & NEVER had any issues with shipping or delivery. I referred a lot of others as well because there food tastes LIKE FOOD. Post Covid I was told they'd been unable to resume "individual" orders ok BUT NOW??? I know MANY PEOPLE who are discharged from the hospital but still cannot eat normally, whether surgery, cancer treatment etc ALL AT HOME UNABLE TO EAT REGULAR FOOD ! I.E. INDIVIIDUALS! I'm sorry but I call bullshit on the excuse...Let ME decide whether or not I want to pay more!! Or even allow individuals to order & pick up. or SIMPLY limit THE AREAS you can cover based on your BS shipping/packaging excuses. We all re opened from Covid in June 2021 ITS 2024 !! A family member is currently suffering from esophageal cancer in HAYWARD... From Oakland to Hayward? How fricken hard or costly could that possibly be??? I had a dental procedure on Tuesday and my sister sent me a case of Blossom food that arrived on Thursday; just in time, i was already tired of soup and scrambled eggs. I have to eat pureed food for at least two weeks while healing from the surgery and was dreading what i saw in the frozen food isle. I am a foodie and was at a loss for what to eat that would be healthy and nutritious. I was delighted when i read the ingredients, low in salt, low fat, and high fiber. Thank you for making the food taste just like the solid form! My Mom, 76, loves the meals and it made my Dads anxiety about her not eating nutritious foods stop. My Mother, who has been unable to eat regular food for 3 years, has to eat purée food exclusively. When she first started to eat purée food we could only find it through Hormel. It comes in a can and I felt guilty feeding her out of a can for all of her meals ( I almost felt like I was feeding a cat or dog) so we ordered it for Mom and never bothered to taste test it. Mom would only eat a little of it and we figured it had to do with her condition. She started dropping weight and became a bit depressed. Then she all but stopped eating. My wife and I decided to try this purée food from Hormel thinking it can't be that bad. Oh, how wrong we were. The guilt I felt was overwhelming. My Mom never complained because she is the kind of person that won't complain about much especially if you're helping her. The food inside, while it wasn't spoiled, was gritty and even though it said "Eggs" it didn't taste like eggs. We tried a meat and I thought it was French toast again. It was not distinguishable. It just wasn't good. My wife and i tried to do purée food ourselves at home with not so good results. We hit google again and searched for purée food. We found a place locally (San Francisco) and called. The person that answered the phone ( I am sorry but i cant remember the girls name) was knowledgeable and very happy to help. She told us the menu items and gave us her suggestions. We placed an order, which went very smoothly, and explained our Mother was not eating. We figured the order would take a day or so to get to us. About an hour later there was a knock on our door and to our surprise it was Chris with Blossom foods dropping off our package. He was very friendly and polite. (Being 5 or so miles from their kitchen made a difference). We cooked it for mom and tried it first this time. My wife and I were so blown away by the taste and the quality we both ate a full serving. It is delicious! My Mom loved it and after a day of eating it the sparkle started coming back into her eyes. She kept getting stronger, her energy level was up and soon enough she started to put weight back on. We order weekly from their website, which is fairly simple. My father can swallow, but because of his ailment, chewing is quite taxing. Consequently, he had not been eating adequate amounts of food and would often decline food altogether. That is until, I offered him meals from Blossom Foods. I've tasted them myself and they taste exactly like the food identified. They have the best ever customer service!. We ordered some food from Blossom Foods last July which arrived late and was spoiled by the heat. They gave us a credit for it. We tried again after the weather cooled down only to have that shipment delayed by Fedex and it arrived in poor condition. When my grandmother had a stroke, she was put on pureed foods and I immediately panicked. I don't cook well as it is (nor do I have much time to cook, puree, etc.) and I was nervous about making foods the right texture. I found one brand of pureed food, but it didn't seem very appetizing to me and in desperation one morning I did another search on the internet, and up popped Blossom Foods. I am so thankful to have found this company! My 90 yr old mother cannot eat solid foods due to dentures that do not stay in place regardless of adjustments and adhesives.
