Blossoms is my go-to in Kailua, the food is so good so many options and it's all super ono. Our favorites are the pork hash, the noodles and the garlicky fried chicken. Blossom's Okazuka is situated in the Keolu Shopping Center - not far from Kailua Cinemas. They are currently on vacation until the 4th of August. Closed on Sundays and Mondays; usual operating hours are from 600a to noon, Tuesday thru Saturday. I got a bento a few weeks ago and it was good. Disclaimer: I came late ish at 9 but it's a good sign when near everything but 2 bentos remain! I got a mini chicken bento and a guava juice for my work lunch and for the price of under 12 bucks I couldn't complain. The chicken was super juicy and crisp with tons of panko on both which made it amazing to get into and the rice a solid portion. Only thing I can say and mileage may vary on this is the bones I'm a big boneless man but the quality speaks for itself. Take this with a huge grain of salt. I only stopped here due to traffic on Oneawa... They had barely anything left and what they did have was pre portioned. Also a few bentos left. Had the honor of being second in line early on a Thursday morning. My coworker and I were on our way back to work but couldn't leave this side of the island without bringing something back. She picked out the goods. Korean chicken, regular rice musubi, fried noodles, hamburger patty, and the hash. Everything was so ono! They were so nice and quick. I finally got up early enough to get to Blossoms before they sold out of everything. It's on my daily walk route while I'm here on holiday. I got here at 7:28am and there were 8 people in front of me. The other day I got here around 9am and all they had left was spam musubi and Cone sushi. Update: they had maki rolls with tuna or fake crab. Ended up leaving with Cone sushi and spam musubi. They only make a certain amount of everything and sell out early. In the heart of Enchanted Lakes Oahu you'll find Blossom's Okazuya a Family business that's been around for awhile. I'll drive from Kaneohe early in the morning just to get my fix of ono Okazuya. There's lots of parking and a line to enter. My advice to you is to call in advance to place your order, then drive there to pick it up. You'll still need to stand in the line when you get there but at least you'll know that you're going to get what you want. Don't forget to ask for specials, sometimes they'll have smoke meat. Well I can't honestly fully review since I only managed to get 1 order of Korean chicken. Everything else sadly was sold out by the time I for there (just after 10am). We all know okazuyas here you gotta go early and they close when sold out. This is no joke probably the 5 or 6th attempt lol. Few times I went 9am etc and either closed that day, closed for catering or already sold out. Yes you could call in the morning and order but with me I like to look at everything for 30mins before ordering (lol not really), but I do like to see sometimes when you see something in person you're like oooooohh I want that. So only had kalua pig and Korean chicken left. Nothing else no sushi etc. Korean chicken was good, still had crispy skin even though had Korean sweet shoyu sauce all over. 5 stars for the Korean Chicken! Blossom's Okazuya have been here for years but I'm not always able to go here on the weekdays unless I'm off or on an early Saturday morning. Twice I drove my mom to get her blood test at Diagnostic lab and I always make my trip worthwhile especially in the morning to get pastries /breads at Nene Goose Bakery or Blossom's Okazuya. Blossoms have maki sushi, spam musubis , fried chicken, noodles, and all kinds of Okazuya items. For years they were known for their sesame chicken and not many places make them. Lately I find the flavor too strong for my taste buds, but I just love the Korean chicken and that's what I come for now. They get sold out fast, (can be by 9am!) but the last two times I was able to get two side orders. It's pre made but yet it was still crunchy for a long time! I was amazed how light and crispy they were and the taste was spot on. Many places serve Korean chicken and their sauce varies from place to place but this one is one of the better one! The chicken skin so crispy! I think I can say it is my favorite Korean chicken! I noticed this little spot mostly bc of the line always out front when the Kailua market was located here. I was always curious but too loaded down w food from the market to try it. This morning coming back from seeing the sun rise (btw. That's a must) I remembered this place and thought I'd finally stop by on my way home. Omg. So good. Now candidly it's still very early AM and haven't had brekkie but I d sampled everything but the musubi but based on my sampling of the sesame chicken and the weight of the musubi (from the overly generous piece of chicken. I've been wanting to try blossoms for awhile, but their hours weren't really working for me. Fortunately, my boyfriend loves pastries and frequents a bakery nearby, so he picked me up a bento a couple times and he decided he really likes their fried shrimp. I'd like to try this place on my own so I can choose what I want instead of relying on someone else to order for me. Teehee! I also really love fukuya and go there like once a week, so it would be interesting to see how blossoms compares. The fried chicken I had in my bento was really good. Although the bf really likes the fried shrimp, I think it's just ok. It's a whole lot of batter and not a lot of shrimp. I think he likes it because the batter is a little sweet. Actually came here because the okazuya place that I usually go to in Kaneohe was crowded. I'm glad that it was!! [FOOD] The food where is super ono. They have some small kine difference in some of the dishes but it is really interesting and actually works like the SHRIMP TEMPURA where the batter stay little bit more on the sweet side. Personally my favorite was definitely the SESAME CHICKEN, where you can actually taste the flavor with each bite and has a nice crunch to it. [PARKING] Plus they get choke parking and had no problem finding a handicap parking space. Which can be a PITA at other okazuya places. read more

One early Saturday morning while picking up some pastries I saw Blossom's Okayazu and went to check it out. Of course I yelped it and read the reviews first and yes great reviews. I got a typical favorite of mine; Korean Chicken, Cone Sushi, Veg Tempura and Fried Noodles all for under $12 dollars. Food was tasty and definitely my comfort favorites. Most of the time, I feel comforted when I have found my favorite meal at a restaurant. I know that no matter how adventurous I get...there will be a dish that I can 'go to', and be happy. Blossoms was hard for me...I have picked up food here a couple of times ( because my Apo lives close by). But this was always a hit and miss place for me. Mainly because I was never sure what to order or what to try...until now. This last trip, I popped in and checked out the steam table and just picked out what looked good....didn't even ask what it was. I knew it was chicken and I knew it looked crispy...that was enough for me. When I pointed to it, the girl said 'Korean chicken?' I said yes and off I went. We were running errands that day so the chicken was my 'in between car snack', and it was perfect! Garlicky and crispy, it had so much flavor. We stopped twice for food, but after every meal, I went back to the chicken because it tasted so good. There was almost nothing Korean about it...no red chili or spicy flavor to speak of, but it didn't matter...this is Hawaiian Korean Chicken. It stayed crispy and continued to put a smile on my face all day long. Not so much for the other passengers in the car (it was stinky!) But it didnt matter, because I had found my go to dish at Blossom's Okazuya! I will be back to try other dishes, but no matter what, I will always get Korean chicken too! read more

Pick up lunch today 9/2/20. Maki sushi for my bestie and bake spaghetti for my husband and me a mix plate assorted tempura and cone sushi. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the maki sushi. The tempura today was a lot more dough on the shrimp but the shrimp is big. Vegetable tempura was good but eating late its not crispy like 1st brought it. The cone sushi today was a little vinegary and I think not enough sugar in the rice. But all in all the food is good. Support local. We happy at least in kailua they have a okakuya place to pick up food instead of eating only burgers and pizza and Chinese. (Lol). read more

Finally got to try this place and wow was it good!! Since it's out in Kailua and their hours aren't convenient for me it's never been easy to get out there but yesterday my wonderful co-worker picked up a plate for me. It smelled amazing but I wanted to hold it for lunch so the food was several hours old before I got to it. Even so I'm still giving a 4 star review. I love Okazuya food and they knocked it out of the park. Here's the individual item review. Shrimp tempura - Okazuya style is always fantastic. Sweet batter and perfectly cooked shrimp. Sweet potato tempura - Omg!! Enough said. Hot dog- local style Teri hot dog, can't go wrong here. Fried Chicken- simple tasty but a tad dry. Might be because several hours old. Hash - Local style, filler with extra potatoes but still flavorful. Long rice - my favorite on the plate! I certainly need to hit this place up on my own and eat everything fresh.
