Located in the Enchanted Lake shopping center on Keolu Drive, they have Round Table Pizza next door a Safeway Supermarket and many other stores and dining areas. They share parking with all the tenant there. The prices went up from $19.99 to $22.99 which on the outside window is still the old sign, but inside they have the updated prices which is understandable which labor and food cost going up. This is the only Kim Chee with a buffet bar with all kinds of Kim Chee, fresh salads, macaroni salad and bean sprouts and other items. They also have the seaweed soup & hot tea. It is still a good deal the food has always been delicious and the service terrific we drive in from town to eat our Korean food there, we are never disappointed.

Korean food was good and beautifully decorative plate. All you can eat rice, soup and side dishes.

Had not been here in a while but decided to give it a try again. Things have not changed, restaurant staff is very friendly and food is good. Portions are not as large as your other Kim chee restaurants, but they do have an all you can eat bachan bar that's great.

Haven't been here in years but we were in the area last weekend and decided to drop in. Veggie buffet looks exactly as I remember it lol. Lots of choices and the red jello is still there. Food is yummy as always and they have super friendly service. The lady that owns the place looks the same as before she never age lol. This gave me back a lot of nostalgia, will return sooner rather than later.

Long overdue review. But wow, this place is great! AYCE banchan station is an automatic 5 stars. I'd give more stars if I could because the food is just as good and the portions are enough to take some home. I shared the "Two People Special" with my boyfriend because we couldn't decide what we wanted, plus it was our first time so we wanted to taste which dish they make better lol. I also got a side of Mahi Mahi Jun. The pieces of each protein was nice and thick - crispy and juicy. The presentation of the dishes were so fancy.. even had drizzle designs. Everything was fresh off the stove or fryer so we def started eating straight off the plate. The special we got is definitely enough for two people and mixed with the banchan, we still had leftovers for lunch the next day. People were funneling in and out and the owner seemed to be know almost everyone that walked in - or was so friendly that you would think she did lol. She was super nice with me and my boyfriend, even cracked a couple jokes. The place is also BYOB which is convient because it's next to a safeway lol. I want to take my family here. Definitely worth the drive to Kailua for.

    Vegetable bar

It's always a struggle to find new restaurants to eat out, especially when you're not familiar with the area. We noticed that they have a vegetable bar and that's what pretty much sold us. Not sure if other Korean restaurants offer that so we wanted to try. Once we walked in there were a few families eating. We were still able to get a table without waiting which is nice. We decided to order their Two People Special plate ($62.90). The combo comes with Kai bi, bbq chicken, meat jun, chicken katsu, shrimp tempura and white rice w/ access to the vegetable bar. Yes, that's a lot of food to take in but we were ready for it! While we waited for the combo plate, we went to the vegetable bar and helped ourselves to some kimchee, bean sprouts, corn, toss greens and white rice! They also have miso or seaweed soup that's available. You can also help yourself to sauces for the meat jun, katsu, and salads to name a few. Once the two people special plate arrived, we were in awe. So much food on one plate but it all looked so good. We first tried the chicken katsu. Crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. It was also a plus with their katsu sauce. The bbq chicken was also very tasty. Our favorite was probably their shrimp tempura. It was delicious but also made differently. While eating we noticed a tv show of the restaurant and one of the foods that was made was the shrimp tempura which clicked on how it was made. Meat jun was good and surprisingly the egg was yellower than other Korean restaurants. The Kai bi was flavorful and juicy. The best part was probably the meat on the bone. Such a great experience eating here. The staff/owners are very friendly and you get a sense of pride eating at their restaurant. The chef has multiple awards shown around the restaurant and even had their own TV show 31 years ago! Defiently worth giving this place a try when you're in the area.

I met a friend for lunch who told me about this place. It was the first time here at this restaurant. We were greeted by the staff and seated close to the Banchan self-serve bar. They had miso-soup, rice, and lots of banchan choices. The ambiance was upscale, clean, and modern. I like the booth seating tables. It had a good feeling of privacy. We ordered lunch from the lunch special menu. It was $19.99 with two choices of meat. We had Meat Jun/Zucchini, Meat Jun/Kalbi additional $6 for kalbi. I got to say everything was excellent. I enjoyed the Meat Jun sauce, which I used for everything on my plate. It was very tasty and made every item flavorful when dipped. We also had a side dish of Man-doo $8 for 4 pieces, which I really enjoyed. It had a nice light crunch and was very flavorful as well. Our order was served in a timely matter with a nice presentation. It gave us time to enjoy the banchan and miso soup. It was a great experience for me. I will definitely come back when I'm around the area.

This is a small restruant. I love that the vegetables are buffet style and comes with the meals. The food was delicious both the meal and the veggies. The price though was ridiculous, $30 for a plate is a little insane. Especially for the amount of food the meal came with. Service was straight forward, the women who had been working there for years is very friendly and welcoming. I wish it wasn't so expensive, I'd want to come here more often.

Mahi Katsu - Meat Jun - AYCE Veggies

First time here and I love the vegetable bar. Spot on kimchee, I wish i could take a whole jar home. Got the Mahi Katsu and the Meat Jun. For the price and the AYCE Vegies I will definitely be coming back.

    Squid tempura and spicy pork

We had the lunch special $21.99. The servings are extremely small. We ordered the squid tempura and spicy pork. The pork was a thin slice about 4" in length. It was cut into 2 pieces. The BBQ beef really salty, also no flavor. Its a lunch buffet so you have to get your own utensils, side dishes and water. For the price we would not return again. The portions are too stingy and the side dishes ( bachans) blah. Save your money and eat at Kimchee 1 in Kaneohe.

    Gotta get the lunch special

We waited for over twenty minutes for both plates and when we got home, the food was subpar. The cookery on the food felt as if it was rushed even though we waited twenty minutes for our food. It used to be a very clean and inviting restaurant for any patron to want to sit and dine in at yet that was not the case. Boxes and random things were all piled onto a table underneath the air conditioning unit. Tables were sticky and everything in this restaurant looks very dirty. Service: the customer service was great but very slow. Ambiance: the last time I was there was about 3 to 4 years ago. The a.c. was great, the lights we were on and the ventilation was working. The day that we went, the a c was on yet the ventilation was not working and you could see that it wasn't working due to how much smoke was accumulating inside of the restaurant. It's released on to say that this will probably be the last time that we buy food from here. We do always try our best to support small local businesses. No matter where we go on island yet, I have to say this will definitely be the last time that we buy anything from here due to the lack of love put into the food.

UNBELIEVABLE. I drove all the way from Kapolei specifically…read moreto try this place because of the glowing reviews. I walked in expecting a meal and was greeted with one of the most insulting experiences I've ever had as a customer. The restaurant was COMPLETELY EMPTY. Not a single customer inside. The man at the front looked at me and said, "Sorry, you can't eat here if you're single." I thought he was joking. He wasn't. Because I didn't have a girlfriend, wife, or friend with me, I was told I could not be seated. He actually said it was their "rule," and if he DID allow me to eat there alone, he would have to charge me MORE. Read that again: they were willing to turn away a paying customer from an empty restaurant simply because I came by myself. I have never experienced a business that treats single people as second-class customers. Apparently your money is only good enough if you arrive attached to another person. So if you're traveling alone, recently divorced, widowed, working nearby, or simply want to enjoy a meal by yourself, don't expect to be treated like a normal customer here. An empty restaurant, a willing customer, and they still refused service because I was alone. Absolutely shameful.
