I'm sorry, I don't understand all of the good reviews. We ordered online on a random Tuesday night and it took exactly 55 minutes for our food to be prepared. When I went in to pick it up the girl behind the bar had zero customer service skills and acted like it was a strange request when I asked if it was almost ready. When we finally got our food it was hot but it tasted awful. The orange chicken was so salty we couldn't eat it and the meat in the pho was actually in the broth which caused it to over cook. I had the worst heartburn in my life afterwards as the icing on the cake. The only positive I saw was when I was sitting in there forever I saw the owner interacting with people and he seemed very kind and warm. read more

Great food. I can see the restaurant is in a transition and short staffed, they are overwhelmed by take out orders and some staff looks easily distracted while others are working twice as hard. It is out of balance from a management standpoint. I can see the manager is working to correct this and other issues. The fried rice was literally just rice and egg, and fell apart/didn't stick to chopsticks as it should. The prance chicken had good flavor and proper level of crispy batter, but the interior was dry. The green curry was ok, not too flavorful but nice and creamy, however it was basically 90% bamboo shoots. The pad thai wasn't quite authentic, but tasty enough. What incredible service! My husband and I ordered takeout from here last night (Basil Fried Rice, Pho Noodles, and an egg roll). We got our food extremely quickly, and as we were pulling into our driveway back at home, the restaurant called to tell us they forgot our eggroll. They immediately offered to send their driver to bring it to us. One eggroll! Delivered to my home! He got there super fast, and wouldn't even take a tip from us for his trouble. He said, "It was my fault, so I can't accept that." How great is that!! I am so impressed by this simple act of accountability and kindness. PLUS - the food was delicious. I have never had the basil fried rice before, but wow! So flavorful...a little on the spicy side, but not overpowering. Tons of chicken....just delicious. Blu was my "go to" place for Thai for a while. Their basil chicken, the dish I use as my Thai benchmark, is very good and I recommend it. The restaurant is pretty new and the atmosphere is clean and the staff generally very good. They fell off my radar because on my last visit they screwed up my order badly which was both a surprise and a disappointment. That got me to looking for another spot, which I found, but it is in Ft Worth, and doesn't compare to Blu for ambiance. My other spot is a bit more of a hole in the wall and more suited to my solo visits than to visits with the wife and friends. Blu is certainly a good spot for Thai and I wouldn't let my one-time bump in the road derail my high rating. I will definitely be back! read more
