I was in Redmond to see a specialist and when that was over decided to have lunch at Blu Sardinia. I arrived a little before noon and found I had the restaurant to myself! I felt like a VIP of VIPs! I was met by a member of the staff and shown to a table. The staff member took my drink order (a drink named Amoxicillin) and I asked for Pane Rustica, but was told that only the head chef knew how to make the flatbreads and he wouldn't be in for another hour. . Oh well. I then placed my order for my main course. I chose the Parmigiana Di Pollo. Oh my! This had to be the absolute BEST chicken parm I've ever had! The angel hair pasta was great! The pasta sauce was excellent! And the chicken parm was exceptional! I've never had chicken parm that was crunchy AND tender AND moist! So good! When I was all done, or so I thought, the server asked if I was interested in dessert. I said Yes, Please! And looked at the dessert menu. I ended choosing the Tiramisu and was amazed yet again! There were so many flavors! After I finished my most excellent meal, and was relaxing, I finally realized that the background music was so fitting. It was the cliched Italian restaurant music. There were selections including Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Connie Francis, and Angelo Fabiani. The interior was furnished very elegantly, and the staff was very pleasant and eager to help. I am very fortunate that I got the chance to experience Blu Sardinia.

    Bruschetta nice decor; but burnt

The interior is nice. The staff was polite. The Prosciutto And Fig pizza was really tasty. The same goes for RAVIOLI AL QUATTRO FORMAGGI pasta. The plates are nice. I wish the menu had pictures. However, please DO NOT order Bruschetta bread. It was burnt. Now you know why I gave it 3*.

Lamb Shanks was a bit tough, but it was flavorful.

Ambiance - 3.5/5. It's a nice Italian food restaurant with a bar. This restaurant would do well if this was in Kirkland! Service - 4/5. Our server was very nice. Food 3.5/5. The flavor of lamb shank was good, but the meat was a little too tough. Pesto Bucatini was cooked perfectly but the sauce needed a bit more creaminess to wraps around the bucatini. The shrimp was very flavorful though. Chicken parmesan was crisp outside and moist inside. The pasta that comes with it was pretty good too, but it lacks a tiny bit of garlic or cheese. Everything was not hot enough by the time it got to the table. If they can improve on that, we thought this restaurant would do better. Overall the experience was great and we'd definitely come back here again.

Was here for a girls night out with 18 others. We were a big group and occupied two big tables in the dining area. We got there at 5pm, hoping to start off with the happy hour menu but were told happy hour is only in the bar area. Given the group size, they could have been accommodating. Kind of bummed about that. Anyways, on to the good stuff. Interesting cocktails. I got the purple bee. Looked pretty and boy, was it strong! Loved it. Ordered the pane rustica & aglio olio. They kind of forgot the pane rustica and brought it at the end when I reminded them about it. Happens when you are in a big group. Food was excellent. Wood fired flat bread with whole roasted garlic and goat cheese was delicious. And the pasta was very good too. Everyone loved their food and drinks. It's a great place for date nights. Though it's in a strip mall, when you walk in, you are immediately transported to a very chic, upscalish place. So dress up! Or keep it casual and get the best happy hour deal at the bar!

Ordered pork and mushroom bucatini pasta and Pizza, for dessert we had their ice cream ( coconut, pistachios, and chocolate) and tiramisu. The ambiance had some live jazz nusic and even a tap dancer/flamenco? Anyway, it was a great experience. We didn't have a reservation but was seated promptly. The food was soooo good! I mean I love the pizza and the pasta had so much protein. The tiramisu was good and didn'ttaste too much of the coffee which is nice for me since I like more milder coffee taste. The pistachio ice cream though i love ! The staff was super nice and very attentive. Overall experience was awesome and definitely would love to go back and try other things. The staff did recommend to get their sorbet of the day if they have it, we didn't manage to do so. But that day they had mango.

We wanted to find a restaurant that' would allow our puppy on the patio & had good food so we stopped here. As soon as you walk in you see their impressive wood fired oven- just beautiful. It was a Tuesday at 1:00 ish & there was no one on their nice patio which worked great! Kevin greeted us & took great care of us. We started with ice teas & the flat bread with roasted garlic & goat cheese- really delicious- we should have asked for more goat cheese lol. My husband & I each got the Caesar salad- I added prawns & he added chicken- both were really good- not enough dressing for my husband's liking- but again, we should have asked for more. I pretty much never like the croutons on salad but these were really good & the prawns were juicy & flavorful. My mom ordered the Margherita pizza- amazing! Lots of mozzarella & basil & the crust cooked perfectly in their pizza oven.

Wow! What a delightful and delicious local Italian restaurant. I've lived in this area for many years and visited developer take them all many times but cannot believe I've never stopped in. Finally came here last weekend with my family We had a wonderful dinner. The service was prompt and very friendly and the food was also delicious. Eerything we ordered was great. For appy's we had grilled octopus calamari and fried brussel sprouts. Did brussel sprouts had fried pancetta and then goat cheese tossed on top of it, and the grilled octopus came with some really good sauce. We also ordered the Sardinia cracker focaccia bread and olive oil for our bread plate. Remains we got the rack of lamb special, the scallop papperadel special, mushroom risotto with added scallops, and then yoki with Italian sausage. We all really loved our dishes. For dessert we spill it in order of the zeppoli. We will definitely come back as every dish was spot on perfect. As we left we saw some people ordering very ordinary things like a Caesar salad and pepperoni pizza. Do yourself a favor and do not do that. Get their pasta and other dishes... You'll be very happy.

Recommend this place. Recommend seafood penne pasta and it was amazing! I wish the portion were a little bigger. I was very impressed with the kids menu and highly recommend the grilled chicken and veggies. The service was great too. Servers were patient and helpful!

This place uses common sense in the midst of all this pandemic hysteria. Staff was exceptionally friendly today. Try the shrimp pasta. One of the best pasta dishes in my humble opinion. The mushroom pizza lacked mushroom, but again, just my humble opinion.

Wow! What a gem to find while I was in Redmond, WA! I ordered some gnocchi to go and they happily accommodated my vegetarian request. Thank you. I also ordered for pick up tight at opening and they graciously accommodated that as well. This place is lovely and the staff was very friendly. Now let's talk about the food. The ricotta gnocchi were spectacular little pillows of wonder. Both sauces were amazing and sadly we ate them before even getting a pic. They were that good. I did get a pic of dessert though. I cannot wait to return.

Even with a reservation, we did have to wait a bit, but it was Valentine's Day, so totally understandable given how busy Italian spots get. Parking was pretty convenient with spaces both in front and behind the restaurant, and if those are full, it's close to the Totem Lake area so there are other options nearby. The ambiance was definitely unique--lots of mannequins, motorcycles, and a sort of roadshow vibe. It felt fun, a little quirky, and different from your typical Italian restaurant. Service was good overall, especially considering how busy it was. Our server was attentive enough and kept things moving smoothly. We started with bread and butter--nothing particularly special, but still enjoyable. The garlic herb compound butter oddly felt nostalgic and reminded me of childhood. For appetizers, we got the meatballs, which were hearty and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the seafood pasta in a wine cream sauce and really enjoyed it. There was a good amount of seafood--not super crab-heavy, but enough to get a few nice bites--and the sauce itself was light and well-balanced. My husband ordered the chicken parm, which he said was good but leaned a bit on the bland side. Overall, it feels like a solid neighborhood Italian spot. Definitely a place we'd come back to when we're in the area.

The balsamic dressing, pine nuts, and fresh greens were already delicious, and the burrata tied it all together with that perfect creamy finish. I could honestly eat this every day Eggplant Parmigiana -- Flavorful, satisfying, and refreshingly reasonable in portion size. Unlike some places that serve a mountain of bland eggplant, this one delivered on taste without overwhelming you. Carbonara -- Creamy, cheesy, and simply delicious. Pesto Pasta with Burrata -- Another favorite. The pesto had great flavor without that overly strong basil punch some places have. Adding burrata made it even better. Cheese Ravioli with Sage Butter -- Soft ravioli with a nicely filled center, paired with a sage butter sauce that was subtle rather than overpowering. Too much sage can ruin a dish for me, so this balance was perfect. A quick heads-up: this isn't a full-service restaurant. You order at the kiosk/front counter, grab your own utensils, napkins, and water, pick up your food when it's ready, and bus your own table afterward. We didn't mind the self-service setup at all--the food more than made up for it. We'll definitely be back

We had tried coming here before and it was completely packed, so getting a last-minute table this time felt lucky. We chose to sit outdoors, and the patio was beautiful and made the whole dinner feel extra relaxing. We started with the Caprese con Mozzarella, fresh and simple. For my main, I ordered the fish of the day, which was salmon served with couscous, and it was soooo good! What I especially loved was that the salmon was very well cooked with a slightly charred, crispy outside. So many restaurants serve salmon halfway cooked or too soft in the center, which I personally don't prefer, so this was perfect for me. The couscous paired beautifully with it too. My husband ordered the special of the day, gnocchi with smoked salmon in a creamy sauce, and he loved it too. My daughter ordered pasta with a side of chicken. Service overall was okay, but unfortunately the chicken didn't arrive until we had basically finished dinner, which was disappointing since it was meant to come with her pasta. I also tried the cappuccino, and that was probably the weakest part of the meal. From an Italian restaurant, I was expecting a really good cup of coffee, but this one just didn't hit the mark for me. Overall, the food was delicious and the outdoor atmosphere was lovely. The salmon was definitely the highlight of my meal, and despite a couple of misses with the service timing and coffee, we still had a really nice evening.

This restaurant has been well received for both business dinners and personal dinners. They are old school charming Italian (not to be confused with American Italian). The service is often warm and charming. The restaurant is painted with warm tones and artworks of villas. Business partners from foreign countries often find this restaurant adorable. The menu has some hits-and-misses, but we have settled on our favorites by now. My hubby orders their lasagna as his favorite; he often orders it early since it's a longer time to cook. I recently visited with girlfriends, so extra desserts are involved. Lol. The Food: Salmone Piccata, $32 - 4.5 Stars Menu: Fresh salmon filet, capers, lemon, garlic, white wine sauce This is my standing order - a good size piece of salmon rests on veggies with a wonderful wine sauce. It's light, it's a repeatable dish, and I don't feel guilty afterwards. Tartufo Classico - 4.5 Stars Menu: Chocolate Gelato, zabaglione cream center, covered with crushed caramelized hazelnuts and cocoa powder Tiramisu - 4 Stars Menu: Ladyfinger biscuits, espresso coffee, mascarpone cheese, and whipped cream Curse my sweet tooth friend who convinced us to order not one but two desserts to share. The tartufo is more unique, and somewhat reminds me of a much better Ferrero Rocher. I particularly like the cool gelato. The tiramisu is of course the classic. If I am sharing with hubby, the tartufo is the easy win.

On the positive side, the bread was good, the burrata appetizer was tasty, and my Marsala chicken wasn't too bad. However, my wife's Linguine Tutta Mare was not good at all. The mussels tasted completely off and had a bad smell. I tried them myself and they were fishy, not how mussels are supposed to taste. We told our waiter, and he kind of brushed it off, saying they get their seafood in daily and that mussels can sometimes be "that way." He gave no apology and no real acknowledgment to the issue, but just cleared our plates and walked away. To top it all off, they were out of the Panna Cotta, which was the dessert I'd been looking forward to. The other options didn't appeal to us as much, but we settled for them anyway. Afterwards, we still felt a little hungry. For our first lunch date in a while, this was a real letdown. Definitely not worth $35 per person.
