Can't really give a place that has so many carbs just 2 stars. But if I didn't like carbs as much as I do, Blue Baker really doesn't impress me all that much. I do have to say the Wi-Fi is strong and the blue seats are cushiony and luxurious. And it seems to be a staple of the BCS area, so I'm scared to say too many negative things about it. It does have a large spread of pizzas, sandwiches, bread bowls, and all the sweet treats you'd ever want--brownies, cookies, pies, pumpkin/banana breads--the list goes on. They also offer a variety of sweetened coffees and things. Customer service is always pleasant. All in all, a reliable sandwich/pizza/sweet things shop. Love this place. I've been a super regular for many years. Food is delicious, and people are friendly. Always clean. They keep employees for a long time which says a lot to me. Managers are no nonsense. Each location has its own vibe. Fitch location has a nice kids' play space. University location has a coffee shop atmosphere with plenty of folks studying or working on laptops. Dominick has a lovely vine covered patio. Cookies are worth the cals and only cost 25¢ when you add on to your meal and drink! (RIP the peanut butter cookie, which was my favorite.) Don't overlook breakfast options. This is the only place I know of where you can get fresh salmon and cream cheese on bagels. Not lox but close! read more

Ordered half a Tejas Blue sandwich at the Dominic location and was disappointed. The sandwich was "lean" in that there wasn't much between the two slices of bread. Little turkey and vegetables were used. I did not feel that the sandwich justified the price. The staff was also a bit rude. read more

Although the Triple Chocolate Brownies I ordered and paid for in advance were a chocolate decadence and the Aztec Brownies had a full swing kick of hot cayenne goodness, I was extremely disappointed with this establishment's delivery service. I came to town for the A&M Fire Academy's exhibition night and planned to also celebrate my son's birthday. So,I looked at the bakeries around town and thought their triple chocolate brownies would be a hit. I called and placed the order in advance since these brownies are only sold Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. I told her I was coming in from out of town so I would need a late delivery 8:30 if possible to the restaurant. I also informed her I would not be at the restaurant at that time since the exhibition would not be over by then. So at 8:30 as I'm at the exhibition I miss several calls from an unknown number as I'm fully engaged in the event. When I get to my phone I listen to the voicemail and there is a message informing me the brownies that I ordered and paid for in advance would not be delivered since I am not at the restaurant to receive them. I had already spoken to the restaurant and they were waiting to hold the brownies for me. With all the traffic leaving the event I was not going to make it to the bakery in 10 minutes. Luckily, the manager at Napa Flats went out of his way to pick up the brownies from the bakery so that my son's birthday would not be without a special treat. If I had to be there to accept the brownies I should have been informed. I clearly told the lady who took my order what I had planned. I tried calling the bakery and tried returning the call of the delivery driver but no one would answer. I even attempted texting the driver, no response. There was no time for me to get to the bakery and I was extremely disappointed in the handling of the situation. I planned in advance only to be mortified that my surprise for the birthday boy would not happen. Again, if it weren't for the outstanding customer service from the manager at Napa Flats I would have lost my $40 brownie order as we went back to Houston that same evening. read more

Very nice place, I enjoyed the food selections along with the hand made sodas. I choose to get a bread bowl and I definitely recommend it! The bread bowl is huge, chewy, warm, made fresh, and a fair price. I believe it was $8.00 for the whole thing (bigger than my hand) I also got a cookie (I had to take it to go because I was way to full from the bread bowl) and I also got a hand made soda, I chose the blood orange one. I called to order a bagels and lox (salmon) with tomato on a Everything Bagel. They called me back to let me know that they were out of the Everything bagel so I requested the onion bagel. I have a couple of critiques. First, they should toast the bagel, it was difficult to chew on it untoasted. Second they should double the amount of salmon they put on it. Blue Baker is my family's favorite place to eat out in College Station. My son's favorite is the DaVinci pizza, while my daughter prefers their soups -- cream of potato, tomato basil bisque, and lobster bisque are all great. My wife and I rotate through the sandwiches and salads on the menu. The Greek salad and tomato and mozarella salad are my favorites. After we ordered food for our family, they told us at the register they were out of pizza and sourdough bread. So we ordered something different. Pretty solid baked goods and other eats to be had at this place. Their baguette, whole wheat bread and sourdough bread are just perfect and as good as one can see in fancy bakeries in larger cities. Maybe they don't have the panache, but the breads are pretty flavorful. Pizzas are very solid and my personal favorite the roasted portabella mushroom pizza is just fabulously earthy and flavorful (they roast the mushrooms before putting them on the pizza, that seriously amps up the flavor tremendously). Sandwiches are great especially the warm roasted veggie which is chockfull of flavorful roasted veg and goat cheese all warmed up before being served with a delicious pesto. I feel their sides are not that great and I am not very enamored of the viennoiserie or their sweet breads (cakes by other names) but its a very small quibble for how good they are at the core. We used them a lot at work pre-COVID and I am glad to see that they seem to be doing well. If you live here, I am sure you go there and if you don't drive fast to get there. If you are passing through, we..ll nothing better than taking a pizza along or bread and butter (they will sell you their high quality butter) to take along on your trip! read more

This is my favorite casual restaurant in town. I have a hard time going anywhere else when I get food out. Everything I've ever gotten from here has been great.
