Just look at my shrimp and lobster sauce and roast pork fried rice. $12 lunch and I'm a happy man!

So I'm Local 282 Teamster and I drive everyday in NYC. I can basically eat anything I want and most of the time I go here on my way home to Suffolk County. They have the best Shrimp and Lobster Sauce and Fried Rice with extra Roast Pork on the planet Earth.

This restaurant has been opened for many years. Tried it a few years ago but wasn't impressed. We tried again tonight. We got food to go: general Tso chicken, shrimp with scallops, egg rolls, hot and sour soup. First thing to describe the food is salty. Everything is very salty. General Tso chicken wasn't crispy despite we ate within 15 min after picking it up. Shrimp wasn't fresh. Scallops were chewy. Missing plasticware and napkins.

Owner included complementary drinks with my order. I think she does that when the order's total exceeds $20.

Best Chinese takeout ever. Yes, the lady who answers the phone is curt, but that's just because of her Chinese intonation, which can sound pretty abrasive. Their chicken wings are amazing. I'd also recommend their General tsos chicken, fried dumplings, and beef & broccoli. The lady at the front usually includes complementary drinks with my order.

Craved some China today so I ordered the classic dishes: - General Tso's Chicken with white rice (large) - Beef Chow Fun (small) - Vegetable Lo Mein (small) The wait time was around 15 minutes which wasn't too bad. Keep in mind the workers are all Chinese so their English isn't really good and I had to repeat myself a few times for them to understand. But hey, as long as my order was right and food was good I'm happy for their small but successful business! I shared all this food with my mom and we had more than enough left! The total came out to $22 straight and they only accept CASH!$$$

Great tasting fast food. Fellow Yelper Christy L. Summed it up best. "This place is dirt cheap..." for a Chinese take out place you can't go wrong. I have only been here a few times, but I am always satisfied with the food. The chicken lo mein, the double sauteed pork and the beef and broccoli always hit the spot. The place literally is like a dive, if you're not careful you can easily miss it on Horace Harding Expressway. Just use the McDonalds as a reference since "Imperial Taste" is only a few stores from it. Oh yeah, the restaurant is called "Imperial Taste" NOT "Imperial Wok" Semantics I know, forgive me. (^_^) What I really enjoy about this particular establishment is the tasty sauce and gravy on the dishes. The sauce is salty but at the same time not too salty if you know what I mean. If you want to know what I really mean, try it out for yourself. You can thank me later.

Order chicken /broccoli and fried chicken with fried rice.

The good- plenty of meat in Lou Rou Fan, the texture of stinky tofu, the no tipping but bus your own tray business model. Friendliness of staff behind the ordering counter. I like their food because it's simple, tasty, and comes out quickly. The Khong Rou Fan is comforting and flavorful, and the Niu Rou Mian is always a good choice when you want something warm and satisfying. The string beans were a nice light appetizer to start. It's kind of a semi-service place -- you order at the counter and clean up after yourself when you're done, so there's no need to leave a tip if you dine in. The cashier who took our order is always nice, friendly, and polite, which makes the experience pleasant. The place is also always clean, which I appreciate. Overall it's a good spot when you want a quick, easy meal without a long wait.

And more: cold dish - garlic cucumbers to start. Classic soup dumplings (pork filling). I usually do not order the crab meat or other varieties as those seem gimmicky. The restaurant gives you a free order of pork dumplings with dine-in purchase of $20+. This visit I did try a new noodle dish - egg noodles with crab roe. It was interesting indeed. While I've had better crab roe toppings (this one was a bit greasy//oily for me) I can see why they added it to the menu. It's been a trend. The Peking Duck and crispy skin pork are still my go to dishes when coming here. It's just not easy to make at home so I'm happy to buy it. Totally classic dishes. We also ordered the beef pancakes which is also a great sharing plate. This spot is a keeper. The entire staff was professional and courteous, but the manager, Leo, truly stood out. He has always been warm and welcoming. Over the years, we've even had the chance to chat in our dialect, Shanghainese, on several occasions. He consistently goes out of his way to make sure guests feel well taken care of. Tonight, my husband ordered the General Tso's chicken, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Of course, I couldn't resist ordering a little too much for myself-- fried bean gluten, mixed vegetables, pan fried udon noodles, and brine squid. As always, they sent out complimentary steamed pork soup dumplings and, to finish, two sweet fermented glutinous rice soups for dessert. I even had leftovers--udon noodles and fried bean gluten--for lunch tomorrow. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and carried a deep sense of nostalgia--the flavors truly brought me back to where I grew up in Shanghai. Needless to say, we left very happy and will definitely be back again soon.

The eggplant lunch special was pretty good but there's absolutely no meat. For a Friday where there was only 2 other tables the entire time we were there the service was crap. I used to really enjoy the food, but lately the quality has declined. Some orders were extremely greasy, literally a pool of oil at the bottom, and overall it hasn't been consistent. The bigger issue has been the delivery driver. From what the owner told me, they only have one, and unfortunately he has been unpleasant every time. I hand him the cash for the order and the tip and make it clear. I say, "This is for the order, and this is your tip." Even then, he interrupts me and says things like, "You don't give me a tip. You Americans never tip. You motherf***er. F*** you," even though he literally has the tip in his hand. This has happened multiple times and the language and disrespect are completely uncalled for. I spoke to the owner, who apologized, but the problem continued. Because of this and the decline in food quality, I switched to Panda Garden just 1 to 2 blocks away. I had never tried them before, but they are a hidden gem. The food is fresh, high quality, and not greasy at all. I will not be ordering from Bell Garden anymore, which is disappointing given how close it is, but Panda Garden has won me over.
