I would also love to include Impact Juice in this, too. This place allows you to see how the workers make your acai bowls in your presence. This place also lets you customize your acai bowls and possibly your smoothies. I went here to get my acai bowl. The base was a mix of both blue yogurt and acai fruit. Then I asked the worker to put in coconut chia seeds and blue yogurt. I also asked to put bananas, strawberries, and blueberries on the top. Then I asked to put white coconut shavings to two types on the top. It was genuinely the tastiest acai bowl I've ever had. Parking can be difficult depending on whether you're visiting the circle during busy hours, but there should be availability within 2 blocks! There isn't any seating available indoors but it shouldn't be too difficult to find seating nearby. The line shouldn't be too long -- max 5 or so minutes! The service is great and the price point is of course standard across blue bowls but I've seen better in comparison to other acai places in OC. Today at this location I somehow was exceeded on expectations and had the best bowl of my life lol. This location has to be my new favorite spot. 4 stars because Blue Bowl is a 5 star Açaí Bowl place overall, but today didn't meet expectations, bummer! If I hadn't been a long time Blue Bowl Fan (nearly a decade), I wouldn't have been able to rate this as highly. Thank goodness I've had it so many times before and know how good it is! I love Blue Bowl and have been to many, if not all, of their other locations. I love that Blue Bowl is 100% Vegan! This location in Orange is just off the circle and down a little alley. I've been to this location before and had a yummy bowl, but today the normal ratio of bases to nut butter to toppings was not achieved. Typically the ratio of nut butter/granola/ other toppings is well balanced but mine was in ratio: nut butter, granola, toppings. Maybe different staff do different amounts, but this was the first time I was bummed by how few of each topping was sprinkled on my bowl. I have also typically experienced especially kind and wonderfully happy, talkative, welcoming staff, but today was not the case. Regarding the location: The door was extremely hard to open (felt abnormally heavy) and the space inside is small, so I'd rather go to the Costa Mesa location! However, if you go to this location you can walk with your bowl and enjoy it in the circle near the fountain! Luckily I know next time I go, I remember to be specific about requesting what amount of nut butter I'd like. Pro tip: you can ask for the nut butter to be freshly ground into your bowl! Tried this place for the first time this past Monday, and I have to say is that it was absolutely delicious. The girls working. There was super friendly and helpful since there are so many options! We had the açaí base with the blue coconut base also granola bottom & top with banana & strawberries also pineapple along with other goodies! Nice breakfast treat! It's located around the corner of O'Hara's Pub; down an alley way. It's very small inside. No indoor seating. Very limited outdoor seating. Service: The workers were quick and efficient. The cashier was nice. Our açaí bowl: They offer three sizes. We got the 24 oz, and we decided to let the workers freestyle (chef's choice). If we're being honest, we have no idea what exactly was in our bowl lol. But we loved it! Everything was fresh and delicious! Pricing: It is barely average price for açaí bowls. I loved Blue Bowl! This might be one of my favorite açaí bowl spots to visit in Orange County. There was a minimal wait. They let you customize your bowl and sample the bases too! Flew in on a red eye this morning and this was my first meal of the day. It was either this or some sit down breakfast spot that seems to average about $20/plate. This was the first time my husband & I tried Blue Bowl. but I kid you not when I this is the best acai bowl we had in our lives, and everything is vegan! If I had to go on a diet and eat this every day, I would be happy. My brother and girlfriend went back two days after because it's that freaking delicious! Although their acai bowls are amazing, they could work on improving their customer service. The girl who assisted me didn't look like she wanted to be there and it showed through her eye expression. Also my brother girlfriend's paid for our bowl, but the guy helping her didn't tell my girl so they almost charged us twice. Thank goodness my husband asked my brother girlfriend's. This storefront is tiny so there's no seating inside. There were 2-3 tables outside but they were taken so we found a bench in front of a pub outside the alleyway. I got the 16 oz for $12 and built my own bowl. I got three bases - pitaya, matcha, and blue coconut. I would have gotten the blue bowl chia too but didn't want to mix too many flavors for my first time here. All the bases were good but the matcha one had the most flavor and was the most creamiest so it stood out the most. It's actually better than Japanese matcha soft serve I had in California. The bases were cold enough to be refreshing but not too cold to give you a brain freeze or make your teeth sensitive. For granolas, I got the maple quinoa & chocolate with chia seeds which added a nice crunch and contrasting texture. For fruits, I got the fresh strawberries, blueberries, and banana slices. My husband added dried peaches as a topping which he liked but I didn't. He also added honey yet the bowl was not overly sweet. We loved every bite of it and felt good afterwards. I love this place!! It's the perfect refreshing, cooling, and healthy treat for summer time! You can get as many layers of their bases and toppings as you want. By the time I was done with my bowl, it was overflowing with food. I got the large size and I felt like it was enough food for two people. Super fun fresh clean healthy and delicious. The hard part is because you have so much freedom of choice, it's hard to decide what base flavors you want. There is: açaí, coconut, chia pudding, pitaya, gold (mango, orange, tumeric), "cold brew", huckleberry, matcha, and more! There is no limit so they basically portion it into what will fit into your bowl size. And then you can choose granola (pumpkin, hemp, etc) And then you can choose toppings which is mostly fresh fruit and more seeds, and sweeteners like syrup. I chose a base of açaí, pitaya, chia pudding and coconut. In hindsight, I should have chosen less flavors because it's definitely hard to isolate/identify some flavors, but you may not care since even blended together, it tastes very good and refreshing. I topped it off with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, dried coconut, almonds and agave syrup. It's quite a concoction but not hard to finish and you don't feel overly sweetened at the end. I have always enjoyed a nice bowl at any of the Blue Bowl locations. They are always consistent, and serve the best but butters of all places. They have a machine that grinds the nut butter for you so it doesn't get better than that. My bowls are usually very large since I get all the fruits, and toppings. For the base I usually enjoy açaí and coconut, but I also got to try the açaí and matcha base as well. I enjoy loading everything up with lots of toppings since it's adds onto the texture and flavor. They now have a date honey which was a nice finishing touch to the bowls. The store is tiny but they have seating outside in the alley way. This açaí bowl spot has been on my list for awhile now and I'm so happy I got to try it! This place is tucked in a little alley, and there's street parking or free parking in one of the many lots available. It's a small store, so there aren't tables inside to sit down but there are 2 tables outside in the alley that you can eat at. When I entered I was greeted by a super friendly employee. Since it was my first time there, she kindly explained how to order and that all toppings were free! I decided to get the medium 16oz bowl ($12) and chose açaí, pitaya, and matcha for my base flavors. (Side note: you can pick as many base flavors as you like too!) The açaí and pitaya were refreshing and had a sherbet consistency. The matcha was very matcha forward, had a smoother/creamier consistency, but it wasn't my favorite because I believe it's made with coconut milk and I could taste that (I'm not a big fan of coconut). However if you like matcha and coconut milk, you'll like it! I love going here and getting the $11 acai bowl size. Usually get... Pitaya, Coconut, and Gold as bases with blue chia and a bit of maple granola. Then I get bananas and strawberries flared out to make room for my mountain of blueberries. Then I have them add ginger honey so the rest of my toppings will stick. Go for the gogi berries, cocao nibs, toasted almonds and organic coconut. A ton of espresso powder. Servers are very welcoming and friendly. Some of them remember me and my order. Some of them really do get me! When they flare the bananas just how I like it, it totally makes my day. Hahahahahaha. The only downer is sometimes when they are busy the outside tables are filthy, not wiped. Sometimes I get there at 4pm, and they remove the outside tables, start cleaning up for closing.
