I had a great experience at Bodhi Leaf! I was nearby when I needed a place to do some work and this place popped up on my Yelp. I ended up staying here for 8 hours... I ordered the cereal milk latte and classic breakfast burrito, which filled me up throughout my day. Water pitchers were generously kept cool and filled, and music wasn't too loud so you can do some work. There are outlets underneath the bar table which was super cool. WiFi worked great as well. Definitely coming here again the next time I get to WFH :) read more

I would like to begin with saying that the baristas here are great, friendly, and knowledgeable and the coffee has no negative notes home. I am writing this review because a few of my friends and I have frequented this coffee shop for a few years now, but we wont be back for a while. Months ago, one of my friends had made a visit and overheard an elderly woman making a negative comment about a Pride flag displayed by the register. Obviously other customers comments cant be or shouldn't be controlled by the company, but we were extremely disappointed to find out that since that comment was made, the Pride flag has been taken down. I had ran in to grab a drip before work one morning and noticed that some of the baristas also no longer had their Pride flag pins on. This clearly has details I am unaware of but it seems obvious that corporate had those images removed. This makes me and my friends feel very uncomfortable with how this situation was treated. I wouldn't recommend any of my friends to support this kind of activity. One very simple solution for you: Bring back the flag and you'll bring back our buisness! If you're worried about more complaints from individuals like the elderly woman, maybe fly an American flag as well I simply want people to feel safe and accepted. read more

THE BEST table to work on your laptop and plug in is the high top in the back corner. That way you can get a view of the full glory that is everyone ordering coffee. Decided to stop by here after church with a friend. I've seen this place many times while I passed by over the years and finally got a chance to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised. Plenty of parking and has a ramp for easy access to the main entrance besides the stairs. It's got a very rustic feeling to it. Staff were friendly and professional. A good amount of options for coffee, breakfast burritos and sandwiches. Plus also offer a good amount of teas both cold and hot. The interior and exterior were very clean along with the restrooms. It looks like it caters to the community pretty well because while I was there, many different kinds of people stopped by for their coffee and or tea. Very happy I stopped by. Bodhi Leaf is absolutely fantastic. Stumbled in here the morning after a long day at Disney. The coffee here is solid, but the breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal. Ordered black coffee, a mocha, and the standard breakfast sandwich with bacon. Was definitely happy with all of it and would 100% come back the next time we're in town. It's a large coffee shop with a wealth of seating if you're looking for a place to work or study. It's not too loud, but it's also not a library. The service was good and fairly quick and we felt like it was definitely an elevated experience as far as coffee shops go. Highly recommend checking it out! read more

I've visited a couple other Bohdi Leaf locations. They have multiple locations across OC. Parking: This location has a medium sized parking lot. Finding a spot can be easy because people are constantly going in n out. Ambiance/Environment: They have a large space with plenty of indoor seating and limited outdoor seating. Love the modern woodsy/barn theme. Perfect spot to have business conversations, catch up with friends, or get some work done. They also sell merch and coffee beans. Service: Daniela was the cashier that assisted me. She was simply nice and efficient. Throughput was quick after ordering; it took about 5 min. Drinks & pastries: I ordered a 16 oz iced flavored latte with butterscotch. It wasn't really sweet. The coffee flavor came through, but the butterscotch was lacking a bit. The caramel notes were really light. During my first visit a few years ago, I remember their mochas were really chocolatey, and the pastries were delicious. Pricing: They offer rewards through Cash App. I don't really like Cash App rewards because it doesn't offer much. Prices definitely went up. Still love this place. Today I came in and tried their flavored cold brew and added whole milk to my beverage. I enjoyed it. I also ordered their OG Breakfast Sandwich, with bacon. It was delicious!! This is such a cute and cozy space! I came by on a Saturday to meet a friend (we were trying to pick a place halfway between Irvine and Brea and this was the perfect spot). I love how big and airy this space is while still feeling cozy? It reminds me of how it used to feel sitting at the coffee shop inside Borders (RIP), it had those kind of vibes. It would be the perfect place to come read a book and sip on these delicious bevvies. As I waited for my drink, I noticed how chatty the staff was, they seemed to genuinely enjoy working together which added to the positive vibes here. I ordered a matcha lavender spritz and it was the perfect pick me up! I wanted just a small boost of caffeine and this delivered in a really refreshing way. I came in on a Thursday morning about 30 minutes after opening. It had a rustic interior with mainly wood furniture. I ordered the peppermint mocha and I will say it did not have too much of a peppermint flavor, nor a strong coffee flavor. It does seem like a spacious place to study and has wifi, but not my personal aesthetic to study in. I'd say it seems more like a spot for locals as they were more welcoming to them compared to a new person. Again, I'd recommend if you need a place to study and like a rustic interior! read more

Loveeee the iced white mocha blended best but my husband got the iced caramel and my friend got the iced sugar cookie (half sweetened) and they were all delicious! I really wanted to like this place, but after multiple visits, I've had enough. This location never seems willing to take responsibility when they make a mistake with your drink. Instead of apologizing and remaking it correctly, they expect you to pay extra to fix their mistake. That's not good customer service. Another frustrating experience is that whenever I try to order my drink the way I want it, they immediately try to upsell me to a more expensive option. If I tell them that's not what I want, they act annoyed, like I'm the problem for ordering what I asked for in the first place. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What matters is how a business handles them. Unfortunately, this location consistently lacks accountability and makes customers feel like they're inconveniencing the staff. This coffee place egged me right in the face with their egg sandwich. I could not even appreciate the mellow mood at this spot because my jaws were grinding like the knees of an old triathlete. They cram whole wads of egg in the sourdough bread the same way a valley girl overloads her suitcase for a weekend getaway. This sandwich does not close unless you put your back into it and push--a good problem to have. Perhaps that's why this Bodhi has high ceilings: the normal, coffee drinking crowd needs to be able to sustain polite conversation while the egg monsters chew up a commotion. Bodhi has a great interior that is definitely conducive to studying, low key first dates, and light get togethers. I did not pay attention to anyone there though. Well this spot has been one of my new finds around me that I have been loving. First I enjoy it being a quick drive over and how nice it is. I've had cold brew, nitro, espresso tonic, and a couple of the flavors. My usual is a cold brew with coconut syrup and almond milk, but recently changed it to nitro and it's very smooth. Always chill and cozy vibes in here where people could work or come to have some coffee. This location is very big and different areas where they work. Like a huge coffee grinder and a back area, it was pretty cool as a coffee lover. The workers are always so sweet and your drinks come out pretty quick made with love because I enjoy it every time. Exploring the OC, I saw this large venue. It look like it was maybe a market. Upon entering it as a very rustic looking welcoming café. They had a wide range of pastries, breakfast and sandwiches. When Bodhi Leaf is good, they're great. However, when they're bad, it's an absolute disaster of an experience. Today, I ordered a large hot maple vanilla latte--specifically asking the friendly barista to make it at children's temperature because I like to drink my coffee right away, not carry it around like a hand warmer. What I got instead was a face-of-the-sun hot scalding cup of joe that could probably power a small city like a nuclear plant. It's 40 minutes later, and I just had to throw it in the fridge to cool it down. When I mentioned to the barista who made the drink that it seemed way too hot, she gave me a "yeah" and turned back to chat with her coworkers, as if I hadn't just asked for a basic level of customer service competence; no apology, no offer to fix it, nothing. Stopped by this coffee shop after lunch for a chai latte. Once they called my name to pick up my order at the counter I immediately knew I'd be disappointed by seeing the color of my drink. I was hoping it would be more of the spicy chai but it just tasted like milk unfortunately. It wasn't horrible but I could've made this better at home from a carton at Target to be honest. I tried the hazelnut cold brew as well and it tasted decent with some artificial hazelnut sweetener. I should've stuck with a black coffee without all the milk and syrups. Great cold brew. I got a nitro, my wife got a regular cold brew. Both were fantastic. Nice and smooth without any bitterness. Clean restrooms. Lots of free parking in their private lot. The staff was very friendly to us. Lots of open space inside the business and a patio area for when the weather is nice, and it was on the day we went.
