I went to Nekter Juice Bar at 3505 E. Chapman Ave, suite J, Orange, CA today at approximately 11:05A.M., I ordered a go bananas waffles(easy bananas) and a green apple detox. I received my order and left. When i got to a location to eat my food and opened the container I saw the go bananas waffles were drenched in an excessive amount of chocolate. To the point, where the waffles were uneatable. See below picture. I am so disappointed and wasted my cash and gift card on food I could not eat. I don't understand why an employee would do this. This Nektar consistently has some of the worst customer service. I've been done wrong by them multiple times. Today, I came in at 5:40pm only to be told that they are already closed. Even though the door says they close at 6pm. So I drove all the way over here for no reason. My husband ordered for me through the app a different time and when we showed up, my order was not done due to them missing one ingredient. They don't offer to replace it. To make matters worse, we couldn't get a refund because we had ordered from the app. We tried contacting nektar and they were no help. We ended up asking our bank to refund. On a separate occasion, there was an employee or friend of an employee either on her break or whatever who was in the back room area who was just openly and loudly sharing her intimate and inappropriate details to other employees who were on the job. It was loud enough that I could hear everything she was saying and it was too much. Truly ruined the ambiance and my overall experience since I was overhearing things I didn't want to know. Nowadays everything has slowed down but I still like to go here when they have a discount going on through the app. I think most of the stores are now franchise so hours very. Parking is so so since it shares a parking lot with 85C bakery and In-n-out so you always have to fight with other people. Hours are limited but every time I've ordered on the app and picked up in person it's been a good quick experience. All of my customizations have been on point and I haven't had any complaints about the juices or the smoothies. I usually always get the toxins flush with extra ginger substitute green apple and the berry banana burst with extra berries. I got the peanut butter bowl with no banana because it seems like banana is all they put when I have gotten it and like two strawberries so I just got strawberries and apples this time around. The second bowl was the mango açaí bowl and that one was so tasty the pineapple chunks were so fresh and strawberries were so juicy and red! The parking is good here but in n out line is always long so don't get blocked in by them in the parking lot. Nekter was empty on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered online and picked it up. I came in for a cleanse and she couldn't answer simple questions about the cleanse, they were out of product and I asked her if she could help me locate a cleaner elsewhere... that is when the attitude started. I ended up, getting a juice and while I was waiting I couldn't help but notice the mess the store was... on a Thursday morning? I've never seen this, boxes everywhere, dirty floors and piles of dishes in the back... worst of all the manager walked to the back and jumped on her phone... while the lot her girl working was left to do a bunch of smoothies on her own. I asked the younger girl if that other woman was the manager and to my shock she replied yes. I left for a month or so and I come back to a poorly ran store, what happened?! So we decided to take the advice of one of the employees who was super nice and suggested to download the app and we paid this way. Since we downloaded the App we also got a free smoothie as a reward so it worked out. BOTH times, when we got to the store to pick them up, they did not have our order and knew nothing about why it wasn't there. They're made elsewhere and shipped in, so they couldn't even make them while we waited. The first time they didn't have the order, the woman that helped us was extremely helpful and apologetic and immediately refunded our order. The second time, the person at the register couldn't have cared less. She said to just email customer service about a refund. I told her I expected an immediate refund, and she finally granted it. I'd really like to try the cleanse, but since you have to order in advance to pick up, it seems unlikely that's ever going to happen. :( UPDATE: I wrote to the email address provided by Ava. The rep offered nothing other than a suggestion to order on the app because website orders come in differently (????) My first bad experience at Nekter. I typically really enjoy this place. This time around was a bit different. I was told upon ordering that there were no frozen strawberries or bananas. Then I was told that there were no cucumber to make my juice. I know that the lack of preparation does not connect back to the employees rather whoever the franchise owner is. It probably sucks to be in the direct employees place and I can predict that many people are probably so upset because they can't get half of what they want on the menu because of the lack of preparation regarding ingredients and stock. I will likely not return to this location. The reason this review received two stars is only due to the employees that were so kind and recommended other things that I could get despite the lack of ingredients they had that day. read more
