I was just visiting a friend and being a foodie, spent a good hour trying to find just the right place to try out in the area that was also affordable. I ended up stopping by here on my way home around 9am. + They let me order a Cheesesteak and Cajun fries during breakfast + It was absolutely delicious On the minus side, I was expecting the homemade chips and cactus slaw to be great. - Cactus slaw is vinegar based and too sour with no salt whatsoever. I was hoping it would be better seeing how they serve a small portion of this with most sandwiches. - As for the homemade chips, I want to say I just got a bad batch. They were overdone and bitter. Again, salt was super minimal. - I got their peanut butter cup giant cookie and was pleased at first! But then came the hair. :( There were 2 strands of light brown/blonde? colored hair that I have horrific memories of pulling out my mouth. Yelp reviews did not disappoint! They lead me there but I have been back many times and the quality still speaks for itself. I went with a Traditional Cheesesetak, with provolone and onions and peppers and it was delicious! I like a little spice so I asked for some Chipotle mayo and it added that extra flavor but not too overwhelming. The first time I got onion rings and they weren't the most exciting( I won't hold it against them!) but the citrus slaw more than made up for it. It wasn't too strong and I liked the play on a traditional Cole slaw so I always ask for a side of it. The prices are reasonable and that staff is unbelievably friendly. Thanks again to Yelp for not steering me wrong. After the previous day, when I ate what was possibly the worst meal I've had my whole life, I was really jonesing for some good food. I placed an order to pick up on my way home from work for a couple of cheesesteaks and some fries. By the time I got home everything was cold thanks to the awesome traffic on 95. Even reheated the food was great. The cheesesteaks were seasoned nice, not overly salty. The fries were seasoned perfectly too. Stopped in here for a late lunch to take a long needed break from out trek down 95. It's a small place and there is no bathroom for customers, which was a drawback for us as weary travelers. It's small too - only like six tables. The cheesesteaks were on point though - fresh, delicious, well-balanced and filling. We weren't crazy about the fries or chips as much as other reviewers. A little deli in a quiet area, that seats about 12 people. We were greeted warmly and being spotted as first timers, we were given some menu highlights. Sandwiches were served with a side of Cactus Slaw, a vinegar based slaw with cilantro and lime. It was refreshing and tasty. Chicken Salad BLT was served on lovely chewy bread (we chose multi-grain). Chock full of chicken with the perfect amount of mayo. Bacon was just crisp enough. Yum. A special on that day was the Ranchero Wrap, which was fabulous. Juicy chicken, avocado, potato and jalapenos. It was deliciously spicy. Made to order salads were crisp and fresh and served in a large wooden bowl. The homemade chips are awesome, crisp and salty without being greasy. Sandwiches were constructed well so they could be eaten without them falling apart. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and Norwalk is lucky to have them....I'm quite jealous. read more

It is a casual place to grab a quick bite. Inside is small, there are 4-5 tables and a few bar stools so if you have a big group, keep that in mind. I had Little Italy Cheesesteak and Cajun fries. I typically don't go for a cheesesteak, but I'm glad I ordered it here. The roll was so soft and fresh. That is my number one thing when it comes to bread, I prefer it soft. The meat (top round) was well seasoned (might be a bit too salty for me). But garlic sautéed broccoli rabe balanced out saltiness from the meat and sausage a bit. It probably was my favorite ingredient aside from the soft roll. Spicy roasted red pepper pesto (wasn't spicy, but I didn't mind) and fresh melted mozzarella really binded everything together. Overall, I was happy with my cheesesteak. The portion was good size. I had to split with my hubby otherwise I wouldn't be able to finish it. However, I wasn't so crazy about Cajun fries. I called and ordered a Philly cheesesteak for takeout, and when the dude found out it was my first time there he insisted on giving me a bag delicious homemade potato chips. These were some of the best chips I have ever had. Seriously, these chips are worth a trip there alone. But it got better-my Philly cheese was perfect-just the right ratio of meat/cheese/peppers/bread. Yelp brought me here, the quality of food will keep me coming back. I opted for a burger...the Brooklyn to be exact. At first bite I wasn't sure this place stood up to the reviews. Then all at once I realized the reason it tasted different was because the beef was high quality. It was tender. Perfectly cooked. And topped with onions, mushrooms, and American cheese it tasted like a cheesesteak (which was perfect for me because I was having trouble deciding between cheese steak or burger). The garlic fries were yummy. But anything with garlic is. I wish the garlic was more evenly coated on the fries instead of just clumped on top. Don't bother with the onion rings. They were nothing special, light breading, frozen and flash fried. We were helped by Kelly. Very personable and happy to talk to us about the place and the food. It's a hole in the wall restaurant that packs a punch with the food. Looking forward to going back and trying some other things on the menu. read more

Amazing Cheese-steak!! The meat was fresh and had almost a sweet taste to it? Hard to describe the taste but it was unique. Very delicious. Little expensive at $10 (after tax) for just the traditional cheese steak, but well worth it. Will definitely be coming back here soon. UPDATE *** I came back on September 8th around 7pm. There was two guys working the grill and a hostess, all of which I did not recognize from my first visit. The cheesesteak was not nearly as well prepared as the first time I went. The homemade potato chips are amazing each time. I'd heard such great things and was so excited to order, but my sandwich was just ok. I got the Veggie Cheesesteak. The ingredient list sounded so flavorful, but it was bland. No roasted peppers as advertised, soggy bread, artichoke hearts were frozen and not marinated - no flavor at all.
