Had a pleasant lunch at Blue Coast Burrito. The staff was neither welcoming nor rude. They carefully listened to our order and wrapped our burritos accordingly. The layout and service is similar to Chipotle.

    Can you hear em?

On our way to the Predators game, my daughter told me that we're going to stop to pick up something to eat. She said that I'd like it and that it was one of my granddaughters favorite places. She said it's called Glucose Burrito. Glucose Burrito I said? What are they made out of, candy? She laughed big time. No dad, not Glucose, Blue Coast!! LOL, I guess I'm hearing different these days. When we entered "Blue Coast" it was completely void of customers. Not a patron in sight. Perfect for us cause we were running late. Not so perfect for the owners, I'm guessing. We walked to the counter to order. You tell the person what you want, and they pile it onto a tortilla and fold it up. You can see the ingredients in their warming trays, and as you move on down the counter, they ask you if you want this or that. I chose this when maybe I should have chosen that. This was ok, but that may have been tastier. Very few of the ingredients looked appetizing. I stuck pretty much to the non meat offerings. I did, however, have a smidgen of pork, and that was the this. I probably should have ordered the that, which would have been just veggies. With few customers in the place, the food wasn't turned over fast enough, and it became stagnant and unappealing to the eye. If it doesn't look good, it probably isn't. In this case, it didn't, and it wasn't. The rice and guacamole were good, as were the chips. Maybe they were just having a bad day. Oh, the Preds won 6-3. Quick Tip: Peak inside before you choose to stay and eat. If it's busy, you may get what you're paying for. If you hear crickets, keep your wad in the pocket and make tracks.

Fresh and and friendly service. Food is consistently good and warm. Tuesday night specials can not be beat for a family.

A decent, if slightly drippy chicken burrito. Friendly service from the two folks working who put it together as we walked down the assembly line. Tasty but the hot salsa didn't have much "hot" to it. I did get it with chips and a drink. The chips were good, but spending more than $2 for a cup or two of soda is a big waste. I really liked their salsas, especially the pineapple one.

This is my favorite "quick" Mexican restaurant. I don't even have to look at the menu any longer. Their burritos are simply the best.

I tried the mild salsa and the pineapple salsa and both were amazing in their own unique ways.

We decided to see for ourselves. The restaurant was busy, but our experience started poorly. The host (ginger) seated us at a table that had not been cleaned. Dirty dishes, spilled food, rice on the table and seats, and a dirty floor were all still there. When I pointed this out, he told us to sit down anyway because someone would clean it in a minute. When I asked if he was going to clean it, he said only the bussing staff could do that. We waited 5-6 minutes while the table was haphazardly cleaned. Unfortunately, the process was rushed, with food simply brushed onto the floor before the table received a quick wipe-down. It was not the level of cleanliness or professionalism we expected. After looking over the menu, we decided the restaurant was not for us and politely told the host they could give our table to someone else. His response came across as sarcastic rather than courteous. He is a business risk to Garcia's. First impressions matter, and Garcia's missed the mark. Cleanliness, hospitality, and professionalism should never be compromised, regardless of how busy a restaurant may be. Based on this experience, we won't be returning, and we believe there are many better Mexican restaurant options in Franklin. Never again!

The veggies were cooked well and not raw like I've had at other restaurants. The corn tortillas tasted like they might be house made and fresh. I also appreciated the salsa bar. The restaurant itself was clean and well decorated. However, the women's bathroom had a bottle of soap that was 95% water and didn't leave my hands feeling very clean. The hand dryer was also unplugged and there were no hand towels. What really brings my review down is the service. The service was definitely subpar. Our waitress was also the bartender and paid more attention to the people at the bar than our table. She didn't check on us throughout our meal, and only refilled my water once when she brought our food out. When we were done, we didn't know if they'd bring a bill to us or if we were suppose to go to the front desk, as she never said anything to us. Every single staff in the restaurant was on their personal phones, leaving the restaurant to take personal calls, and fraternizing more than working. We also witnessed several food safety violations including our waitress sticking her hands in her pants in the back to tuck her shirt, and another waitress playing with her hair excessively, all without washing their hands before interacting with customers again. While good food, I don't know that I'll go back given the experience we had with the staff. I really question cleanliness when behaviors like that are happening in front of customers.

I ordered the California super burrito with chicken and it was pretty tasty. The burrito was jam packed with flavor, I added a little bit of the chipotle salsa and it was delicious. I also ordered a couple Al pastor tacos and after adding a little onion, cilantro, salsa and lime... it was perfection. The corn tacos felt and tasted like they were home made which is another huge plus. The only negative about our experience was the service. Our waitress was totally absent and only came to check on us once during our meal. We both sat there with empty drinks and it was the only downside to an otherwise great experience. Another weird thing, the staff were trying to get a specific song to play and kept skipping songs for like 5 minutes straight. Every few skips, they'd run out of songs so we'd have to listen to ads which really threw the vibe off.

A few small downsides: The prices were a little steep for what you get. The cups were small, so we had to get up for refills-- and you bus your own table, which made tipping feel a bit odd. That said, the staff was friendly, and the overall experience was enjoyable. The inside is very very clean and well taken care of. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for something fun and flavorful! Parking is free and there is plenty all around the restaurant, which is always nice when near the Nashville area! We will be back for sure. I am already craving the fries again!
