I'm staying in Broomfield and made the 40min drive to Longmont solely for this delicious place!! I've been here multiple times before but it's been about three years ago. I'm so pleased to say the prices are the same and so is the deliciousness!! The service is quick although food is made to order. The restaurant is small (max occupancy of 72) and has no public restroom - it's out the side door and down the hall in the shared part of the building. The menu options are plentiful although I gravitate to the same each time - why deviate from deliciousness?! They also make burritos, salads, bowls, quesadillas, street tacos, desserts and side items. Soda fountain options are a bit limited but they also have Coke in bottles and a variety of alcoholic beverage options or water, tea or lemonade. I will always come here when I'm within an hour of this place! They're open M-Sat. Check it out!!

First time eating here. Past bye this establishment numerous times and today was the day to stop. Ordered all the tacos that did not have pork. The tacos are great, the rice & beans are great (made with no lard) the chips & guacamole was also great and the salsa have great flavor. Service with a smile. The establishment is very clean and not loud. There is indoor along with outdoor seating.

One word: YUM. I'm sure I've said it in other reviews, but I love Mexican food - tacos, burritos, you name it. Blue Corn is right next to a gaming store that my boyfriend and I wanted to visit on a Saturday afternoon, so we decided to give it a shot and were absolutely not disappointed. The restaurant is the end unit in a small strip mall, so parking is fairly easy to find and there are quite a few large trees that provide some good shade for your vehicle if you stop by on a hot and sunny day like we did. The front counter and dining areas are very clean and tables are nicely spaced to give folks a bit of elbow room and privacy. You can see the grill right behind the register and tons of fresh vegetables and homemade tortilla/etc. ingredients stacked around, and everyone works super fluidly together to crank out hot, fresh, and delicious food to customers. We ordered the fajita chicken burrito and a handful of their signature blue corn tacos with different fillings. Our meals came out pretty fast and they were HOT; it took me a couple of minutes to comfortably handle my burrito because of how piping hot it was in the foil lol. When the gentleman dropped our dishes off, he also asked if we'd like a couple of sides of homemade salsa and gave us the option to choose the spice level. We both chose hot, and he brought back a handful of individually packaged salsas - they were absolutely delicious and had a good kick to them. I didn't end up trying any of the tacos, but given the speed at which my boyfriend ate them... they were obviously very good. My burrito was absolutely delicious!! The flavor combinations of the freshly grilled veggies, chicken, and rice were perfect. Price point was reasonable, especially considering portion size. I only ate about 2/3 of my burrito and was more than satisfied. Location is fairly convenient, especially when we get the urge to visit the game store right next door. Since I took these photos, we've been back a couple of times and I know that there are going to be many more visits in my future. Stop in if you get the chance, and I'm positive you won't regret it.

What a hidden gem of a taco place!!! After ordering and devouring the chile relleno taco and the pastor taco I told the manager these were the best tacos I'd eaten in years--and I eat tacos weekly! Fresh, full of flavors, and the blue corn tortillas are really a thing. Eat here!

We came down to Longmont on a chilly Monday preparing to grab some tacos to go and hit up a brewery. Turns out all the breweries are closed until at least 3pm, so we decided to grab a seat instead. It's an order-at-the-counter place with an expansive menu of traditional street tacos, burritos and home specialty tacos. I was feeling the sea this day, so I chose the fajita shrimp and the beer batter fish tacos from the specialty menu. My husband got one of every kind of street taco - Asada, pastor, carnitas, pollo and barbacoa. Both of us selected the blue corn tortilla option because if it's in the name, it's gotta be done! I loved both of my tacos, although I was surprised to find that the bed of Spanish rice was wrapped inside the taco instead of underneath. The pan fried onions and jalapeños were still nice and crisp, but somehow caramelized, and the rice was flavorful as well. The tortillas held together really well and were generously stuffed with the proteins. My husband enjoyed all of his tacos as well, with the barbacoa being his favorite. We also grabbed a horchata since the beer/margaritas aren't available there and enjoyed a leisurely lunch before we sauntered over to an open brewery!

!!!! It's been so long since I've had decent tacos and I found it. No frills but they've got the flavor, quality ingredients, and a tortilla that doesn't fall apart. Food: -Beer batter fish and shrimp: Batter is crispy and not too oily. Pickled veg balances the savory and makes it refreshing despite the mayo sauce. The avocado sauce is yum. -Pastor: Pork is juicy and well flavored. Pineapple adds a nice citrus undertone. Service: Quick and polite. You order and pay at the register. Space: Casual and clean. Lots of seating.

Located in an unassuming strip mall, one might not have high expectations, but this place is super clean, spacious, and bright. The owner is very friendly, and when we didn't know what to order, he made helpful suggestions which were on point! We ate there twice in two days while in the area, so that's gotta say something! Our first visit included various tacos including the poblano taco, carne asada taco, chips and queso. The next day included a smothered burrito, shrimp fajita taco and more chips plus guacamole. The blue corn chips were a nice change from the normal tortilla chips, and they had just the right amount of salt. The queso was flavorful and not too gooey or too thick. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. Pay at the counter and food is brought to your table. Just the nicest friendliest family and I love supporting small business. Bus your own tables if you like. This is our go to tie tacos now!

This is my FAVORITE Mexican food in Longmont. I'll start with sharing I no longer eat meat, and almost all the authentic Mexican restaurants in town offer ZERO vegetarian taco or burrito options. Blue corn offers SO MANY options for vegetarians- and not just a bean and cheese burrito or cheese quesadilla, but if that's what you want, they have that, too. My favorite is the chile relleno burrito. I could eat this every day. They have a chile relleno taco, as well. The breakfast burritos are delicious. REALLY good fish tacos! They have specialty tacos that are bigger and overflowing with fillings like rice and peppers and slaw and also have the smaller street taco options. The service was very friendly and the place was clean and bright. I'll absolutely make an effort to get back here. read more

My Mexican friend recommended Blue Corn Tacos as authentic and delicious so I definitely wanted to get a great authentic Mexican meal! However, I found the Chile rellenos to be average and unsatisfying. It really didn't seem any better than the other Mexican restaurants in town where I've dined, and definitely not very different except that it comes with a blue corn tortilla. It is a fast food dining set-up with fast food tables to eat at and not a "restaurant", but it doesn't say that it is a restaurant style business. I've passed by the restaurant on my way home many, many times and no matter that I'm hungry, I just don't feel like going back. It's close to 15th Street off Main in an area that doesn't have many restaurants... a restaurant desert, so to say. It's average and tasty, just not worth raving about. read more

Just had the BEST BURRITO I ever had in my life! Not exaggerating! José's Mushroom Mole Burrito with black beans, veggies, and extra raw onions! OH MY! The mole recipe is his wife's grandma's (from Mexico)! STORY: José said when he first met his wife she made him this mole and it was so amazing he asked her to marry him! Craving for chicken tacos so we looked up the best tacos in Longmont and headed right over. I had Pollo Taco and Mole Chicken and am just so happy. Husband had Fajita Chicken and Asada, delicious! Service was fast, too. The space inside has several eating areas, including a little zone in the back if you want to avoid people. We took avoidance a step further and ate outside on the patio. We also ordered a quesadilla but had to take it to-go as the tacos were plenty of food! Amazing horchata, the large is really large. I can't speak to how large to street tacos are, as we had the standard, but they were really full and really filling. read more

Y'all better get back! Chili Relleno Tacos?!? I ordered a Chili Relleno, a Pastor (pork n pineapple), w/ a Large Horchata. Of course you get it in a blue tortilla! Why on earth would you get yellow or white tortillas AT Blue Corn Tacos. That Chili Relleno bursts open with flavor as that gooey cheese comes oozing out. That Pastor is ridiculous, esp in this heatwave - talk about refreshing. Their Horchata is so good it makes you wanna slap somebody - it has a healthy amount of cinnamon, evaporated milk, and *vanilla*, so effin good. Y'all better get up and get out here. read more

Great quality food for reasonable prices. Very open and sunny layout, some outside seating too. a bit of a cafeteria-like vibe. So I usually just do to go. But Owners! Please ditch the Styrofoam!!! Charge.50 for takeout - use compost able containers!! But again, the attention to quality with the dishes is usually impressive. My fave refried beans ever!!! Can't explain, just try them. Waste of Time and Money!!!!! Had to drive back to get carryout order re-made. Brat at the counter OBVIOUSLY didn't care that she had entered the order COMPLETELY WRONG!!! Even after corrected, tacos were stll NOT MADE ACCORDING TO THE MENU!!! Supposed to have rice as part of the bed, but instead they stuff rice into the tacos FOR A CHEAP FILLER!!! The mole was super bitter, not edible. I love mole and there are so many different variations but this was not right. My partner spit it out, I barely made my way through 1 taco. I found the corn tortillas to be chewy - not so fresh? Maybe something went wrong but I'm not encouraged to come back. The salsa was excellent, however. read more

Really delicious! We have been here a few times now. Once, before quarantine when we dined in, and now we have also gotten take-out. We ordered all of the street tacos and a few of the specialty tacos. The chicken mole taco was a highlight. We plan to keep them on our "take-out" list. Our only wish is that they opened earlier in the morning, because their breakfast burritos are super good. read more

I've been coming here for a few months. The food is great and is always consistent. I also really appreciate the attitude of all of the employees; the man who works the register(he's been there almost every time I've gone) is extremely kind and the kitchen employees are kind and seem like they really enjoy what they do. The server was good, she was attentive and pleasant. The place was clean, prices were reasonable, service was good as well as the food. Would I go back ? I might go back if the planets align but I wouldn't make a special trip. My only real letdowns were the shortage of pico and they don't offer free chips and salsa. I've come to expect and appreciate Mexican restaurants who still offer free chips and salsa.

It tasted like the "marinade" was ketchup mixed with a little Tabasco. Other plates were very skimpy on food. Burritos and enchiladas were small and almost almost laid flat on the plates. I guess I could deal with it better if the cost was about ¼ of the price we paid. No drinks for 4 totaled, with tip, around $80.00!! Will never go to this place again! This place is the best Mexican food in town. That's saying a lot in a town full of very good Mexican restaurants. Everything is made on the spot in front of you so you know it's fresh. It's very quick service and well priced for the portion size. The spicy shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing!!! The only problem with this place is that more and more people are starting to hear about it and the lines are getting longer. I think they will have to move into a larger building very soon. read more
