First time here and I ordered a Bean and Cheese burrito. Over six dollars for what I consider a mess. I could have got a better looking as n D tasting burrito from either Del taco or Taco Bell for a lot less money. It was fresh and hot that's the only thing positive. Man this spot is a little hole in the wall but damnnnn. Food is some of the best I'm from Cali SoCal and it's better Mexican food than most of Cali!!!! From their Menudo to Bean and Cheese burrito, their Sopes Carne Asada and Carnitas fire their soft tacos man all the food is bomb and fresh....they don't speak English really so use your Spanglish lol but don't miss this spot give em a try!!!! I like this place, the food is good and seems to be clean.. I don't like when the owner is here. He is just unbelievable, always with a bad attitude and no matter how many items you get he is really stingy about you wanting more salsas. One time I got three different plates and he didn't want to give me 2 salsas and asked "how many items did you get? Only for two tacos?" And one of the cookers said "she got three more plates"... then he said "I don't give extra salsas" then the lady gave them to me. If you don't want to give extra salsa then fill them up to the top, you give them halfway then get mad when people ask for more when clearly one little thing won't be enough for three plates + side tacos. I have to say that I was very excited to eat here! The menu is very extensive, and seems to have everything that we could ask for! Chiliaquiles, Pancakes, Burritos, Tacos, soups, deserts and more! And let's be very honest, there are lots of places to eat, but if you are looking for a place to have Chili Rellenos, Barbacoca, AlPastor, or even a Hamburger or Chicken Burger we were hoping to add this to our lists of favorites, unfortunately that won't be happening.... we ordered, and stood around for 25 minuets while waiting for 2 breakfast burritos to go. We watched entire tables eat and leave before getting anything. When I asked about our to go food, I received a less than courteous reply of 'there are lots of orders'. This review is exclusively for breakfast burrito take out. My second time coming and I ask the woman cashier, "two breakfast burrito you recommend". The value and the portion is just tremendous. I got one ham and one chorizo. The flour tortilla is almost or they are like homemade. I recommend the ham breakfast over the chorizo. Stopped in here for lunch the other day. I ordered the Carnitas Torta to go. The place was busy, I probably waited 10 minutes for the order to come out. When I got back to my office I was supposed to find it came with fries, I was pretty pumped. The pepper is a jalapeño, FYI, so be careful if you take a big bite of it. The sandwich was very good especially when you add their salsas to it. I will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone. read more

Read this place had good food. There was a Large menu. The receptionist was friendly and answered all my questions. I ordered 2 barbacoa gorditas. It included meat cheese and beans. It didnt take too long. About 5 to 8 mins. The salsa ( guacamole and salsa mix) was spicy and had good flavor. The gordita was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the barbacoa was tender and probably the best ive had in the area! I took it to go so i didn't use the dining room. I had the Carne Asada Torta and fries and loved it! The others in my group had the Carne Asada Burrito and said it was the best, they've been back several times in the last month for the burritos. I have been here a few times before with decent service but today I will not return since they would not provide water with my meal. The first time I have requested water was during the time I ordered my meal. The second time I have requested for water when my meal was delivered. The third time I had to request the cashier told me to wait a minute since she was ringing some one up. At this point I was pissed off went outside and got my own water from my car since my mouth was hot from eating. Yet I saw others Customers request for a drink and was provided right away. You have to really be looking for great Mexican food to come in here. Just a little hole in the wall, next to a carnicería (read: Hispanic grocery store/butcher shop). Order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. They speak very little English and the place is by no means fancy. But the food....ahhh....the food. What a great little gem. Everyone loved what they had here, the meat is so well seasoned, and their green chilly with a hint of spicy/hoy is amazing. Hard to beat at those prices. Longmont is lucky to have this little spot....Can't wait to make it back. read more

Ok first let me say that I have travelled many times to Mexico (Baja, Central, Southern). I lived in San Diego for over a decade and ate at countless Mexican restaurants. A good Mexican restaurant leaves you with that extra satisfied feeling that makes you come back for more. This place just like most Mexican places we've eaten at here in Colorado makes me want to hit any taco joint straight from the plane when I visit San Diego. The menu looked good with the pictures of the food but our food was way off from the picture. I'm not a fan of the smothered burrito so I ordered the combo that pictured (#2) a burrito that didn't have that mystery sauce on it...speaking of that mystery sauce, it was a mixture of liquified cheese, beans, oil, salsa verde...it hides the fact that the meat is burnt and old tasting. The tamale tasted like it was in the freezer way too long and everything was just thrown together. So I guess the search continues for fresh good Mexican food in Colorado read more

Just came back from there. No cell signal so I couldn't check in. As usual, there was a wide variety of food goodness but I just stuck with the tacos. They're cooked up outside on a stand by a congenial gentleman who will get your order started and wave you inside to pay. He has his own tip jar at the stand, note to self for next visit. They have a lot of different meat for tacos: pastor, lengua, asada, carnitas, chorizo, etc, today they were pre-cooked and stored in bags to throw on the grill at the time of order. Fixings and salsas are outside at the stand, there are tomatillo, a creamy red sauce and a creamy garlicky green sauce as well. Both of the latter have a good kick to them, but nothing life-threatening. He piles the tortillas high with meat, and cilantro and onions if you want. Ladling the salsas into the plastic cups and retrieving limes is left to you. In the cases of the asada and the lengua I found the meat to be a bit tougher than I'd expected in some areas (perhaps some gristle or the like), especially in the case of lengua I expect more tenderness. The pastor, however was to die for. Very well done. The two creamier salsas were great and each had their own characteristics that complimented the meat well. Fun experience, tried to speak Spanish and failed, had a very fun, messy time eating the tacos. I'll definitely hit this place again due to its proximity to home/work and the decent quality and authenticity of the tacos. read more

This place is just fantastic. I like food way too much, but I am giddy everytime I leave this place. So many Mexican places around here are pure crap. This place is simple and authentic. I always get either the carnitas tacos at $1.75 each or the Bandera burrito. Guy behind me ordered either menudo or the caldo de camerones. It looked fantastic. read more

I got tacos at Guacamole's for the first time a week ago. They were so delicious that I got them again this week. Seriously, these are some of the most authentic tacos I've had outside of Mexico. Try the hot sauces. The salsa de guacamole is so yummy and spicy -- I'd order it by the gallon if I could. To boot, the owners are very friendly. The restaurant is clean. I just sent a note to the moderators - this restaurant is now called Guacamole's. The location, 827 Ken Pratt, is actually on the southeast corner of Ken Pratt Parkway and Ken Pratt Blvd/119, behind the gas station. The Yelp map puts it further southwest on 119. Totally delicious! We'll be back. I'd wanted to try Elohim for ages as it looks like the sort of place that would have real Mexican food. I had some Guacamole's tacos at an outdoor concert event over the summer and got my first taste of their spicy salsas. Today we tried the physical location. Excellent! The taco cart started working out front about halfway through our meal and some people ordered out there and ate inside. We ordered from the counter and tried three different platos - enchiladas rojas (in a spicy mole sauce), carnitas plate (succulent pork in spicy green chili sauce), and a half a pollo asado place. Slightly dry, but very tasty roast chicken served with grilled onions. Daughter loved it and was very happy with her order. All the plates came with rice and beans. We ordered some chips and salsa too, quite good. They also have an ice cream counter with lots of varieties and they get huge pluses from our family for having a variety of aguas frescas. If memory serves: horchata, melon, pineapple and mango. Maybe one other. Beautifully decorated inside too, quite different from the exterior appearance. I hope they stay busy! They had a steady stream of customers while were were there, in the Sunday witching hours when fewer places are open. So glad we went in! Apart from us gueros everyone else was a native Spanish speaker, good sign! I'm tired of north Americanized watered down midwestern bland ethnic food. :) I want to try the caldos and some of the other sauces. Mmmm read more

Their tacos are mucho delicioso! I love the carnitas, with it's semi-crispy fried porky goodness with bits of moistness in between. Loaded up with cilantro, onions, salsa picante, a dash of lime, all on soft grilled corn tortillas = taco bliss. Their dinner plates aren't bad either. To top it all off, everything is inexpensive. Workers here speak spanish. After you order your tacos, be sure to go outside and tell the cook what you ordered. They will tell you this, but if no comprendes, it will be awkward. Probably wouldn't hurt to brush up on your conversational spanish before you order. If anything, just say 'gracias' and enjoy your food. read more

I'm glad people are scared to go to hole in the wall establishments because if they weren't this place would be packed all the time. It's so hard to find Mexican joints that will make sopes or gorditas and this place makes both!!! This has easily become my favorite Mexican restaurant. Their asada, barbacoa, & al pastor anything are to die for. The carnitas have been a little too salty a couple times but overall they're still really good. I refuse to eat rice at most places but I will always scarf down the rice from Guacamole's. If you're looking for an upbeat ambiance you'll be disappointed here. ive been here a total of 3 times. the first time i ordered chicken tacos. pretty standard. chicken in corn tortilla, cilantro and onions. the 2nd time we got the tacos again but with steak.. again.. pretty standard. the salsa bar is REALLY good. they go from mild to VERY hot. and all have a great flavor. the third time i went in i asked for green chicken enchiladas ...these are hands down the worst enchiladas i have ever had. the meat was bland its like they just boiled a breast and chopped it up. they barely put any green sauce on it. and i asked for very little cheese since i am lactose intolerant .. it was doused with cheese inside and out. it was so bland and tasteless i had to dump most of the salasa i got on it to give it flavor. the beans were okay.. the rice didn't taste very good and the menu said it was supposed to come with a salad.. there was no salad. the worst part. 2 hours later i was sick as a dog.. throwing up .. coming out both ends..... this place got me violently sick.. i will never ever go back... not sure how everyone that comes here can handle it.. maybe eveyone has an iron stomach or have a resistance to Ecoli read more

I ordered 2 chile relleno burritos. Luckily I checked my burritos when I got in the car, and found they were just chile, not chile rellenos. So I went back in and gave back the burritos and explained the order was wrong. The guy told me to keep the burrito I'd already bitten into, and he ordered 2 new burritos for me. The second order had chile rellenos, but my gosh, that was the greasiest burrito I've ever had in my life (I actually only ate one, it was so greasy). The grease was literally dripping out of the bottom of the burrito, and the coating on the chile was completely soggy. If you get takeout from here, be sure to check your order, and I strongly advise against ordering chile rellenos. What a dissapointment. I certainly won't be back. read more

Lately, the service is going down, the food doesn't taste the same, the waiting time for your order is beyond 30 minutes, so, be sure you make your order by phone. They give you preference over placing your order in person. On top of that the beef for the asada tacos is half old, burned and tough. They don't even show the prices on the menu, you don't know how much you're paying. They forget the limes, the cake could be old, etc. Very dissapointing... read more

Best Mexican food in Longmont by a long shot. it's simply good simple food prepared well with great flavor. All kinds of meats to choose from, burrito's, gordita's, torta's, enchiladas, sopas, soups, taco's, etc. Birra, adobada, carne asada, chicken, on and on and on. Everything made to order and from scratch. There is a bit of a language barrier. The owner understands a lot more English than he speaks and during the day there is a lady there who speaks English quite well. But I've never had an issue and I've never had a bad meal. I'm usually the only "white" person in the place, it's that authentic and it's that good. For a breakfast burrito, not only is it the best burrito in town, but it's a smoking deal. Egg and chorizo burrito, chili and cheese inside and flavor to die for. $2.50, you can't beat that deal with a stick. read more

During a trip to Colorado we got the opportunity to eat at this restaurant. We walked in and was greeted by the owner who is a super nice guy! We asked him what was the best option for their breakfasts to which he replied the breakfast burritos. I ordered the sausage and bacon burrito which was stuffed with other items like eggs, cheese, potatoes and a great sauce. We ordered 3 burritos in total and the order was complete in about 15 minutes. They were very good and the salsa bar was fresh with multiple options. However don't believe the owner when he says they aren't that hot. The place is very clean and inviting. I will be back for sure. If you have time to stop the prices are great and the experience was as well. Don't pass them up it's a bargain! read more

This place is pretty good. I've always enjoyed the food. However, both times I have gone they have been out of the pastor. Why can't they prep enough pastor?!
