    Curry Mussels

This was right on the main street in the downtown area. There were plenty of tables to sit at including outdoors when accommodating. The menu was not what I was expecting as there were burritos and bowls. I was just expecting traditional fish entrees, but this was not the case. Besides this, the menu had lots of intriguing options to choose from. The staff was informative and friendly while the food came out in a timely manner. For appetizers, the plantain and black bean empanadas ($12) and curry mussels ($15) were ordered. The empanadas had a plantain dough with a black bean and queso filing. There was also chipotle crème and queso fresco on top. There were 4 small empanadas, and they were filled appropriately. The plantain dough was unique and went well with the toppings present. My only issue was the chipotle crème being too sour creamy. I thought there could have been a little more chipotle incorporated. The mussels were of the Prince Edward Island variety, and they were sauteed in a red Thai coconut curry broth. There were about 24 or so present and some were a little fishy. The curry was excellent, however. The broth was spicy, but not overbearing. The wood grilled bread was nice to soak up the leftover broth. I had a tuna burrito ($18) with the wasabi combination. The wasabi combination consisted of jasmine rice, pickled ginger, wasabi aioli, Ter unagi sauce, toreados, crunchy quinoa, and sesame seeds. This was well put together. The burrito was stuffed, and the tuna was cooked to a perfect rare temperature. The wasabi aioli was apparent as well as the crunchy quinoa. It was very tasty. I also tried a mahi mahi bowl with the California combination. It was alright. The other person at my party substituted the sriracha with a green goddess dressing and I do not think I liked that combination with the mahi mahi. Will I go back? Definitely.

One of the best restaurants in Flemington and absolutely my favorite. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu especially the nightly specials. The waiters are great, so friendly and informative. The outdoor patio in the summer spring and fall is the best place to be. The fried calamari, baja fish tacos, grilled shrimp and key lime pie are my favorite things on the menu. And MUST tries. You can make reservations here on Yelp and it is BYOB but you can buy local wine by the bottle at the front.

This place is alway great! I don't think I've had anything here I don't like. The beef nachos were delicious, the meat was super flavorful and tender. It was a little too cheesy for me and wish it had more toppings became mainly just meat and chips for me. They did have pickled Jalepenos which added a kick. They are huge! For my entree, I tried the tuna tacos which are always delicious. I've had them before and they are always super fresh. I always add Jalepenos and get chipotle Mayo on the side! Also- BYOB so that's a hit!!!!!

OMG the food here tonight was amazing again. Almost every time I go somewhere else I kick myself for not coming here. Truly awesome place and the mahi mahi with mole sauce tonight was superb!

For this visit, we decided to check out Dolce on Main Street in historic Flemington. The restaurant is in a great spot right in the heart of town. We were seated in their tastefully decorated dining room, which felt upscale but still welcoming. For our appetizers, my wife went with the classic caesar salad, which featured classic dressing and herb-crusted croutons. I tried the pear salad which came with walnuts and gorgonzola cheese in a balsamic vinaigrette. Both were a good start to the meal. For the main course, my wife ordered the flounder francaise. It was prepared in a lemon chardonnay sauce with capers and artichokes, which she really enjoyed. I decided to go with the scallop and shrimp special which was pan seared and served with sliced asparagus risotto in a saffron chardonnay lemon sauce. Everything was cooked perfectly and very fresh. We made sure to save room for dessert. My wife had the carrot cake special which was a triple layer cake with real cream cheese, sliced walnuts and golden raisins served with vanilla gelato. I went with the cheesecake. Both were a solid end to the night. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our meal, which we appreciated. It's a BYOB, so keep that in mind if you want to bring a bottle of wine along. However, if you forget, they do have a selection of bottles for sale from Alba Vineyard. We'll definitely be returning in the future to try some of their other traditional Italian favorites.

The restaurant is tucked behind a Walgreen's and proximate to an urgent care on a side street off Rt 31, so that might explain it. We arrived for dinner on a random Thursday. The dining room is large, clean, bright, and had a lot of empty tables, but few patrons. They have a take-out business and it was sort of rainy outside, so that explained it in my head. The server came right away and took our beverage orders (it's a BYOB and I still can't get used to that concept). We ordered our meals after our drinks arrived. I like to keep it simple on a first visit. If you've seen my other reviews, it sorta makes sense. I got the linguine, with mushroom sauce and meatballs. It gives me a chance to see if the pasta is boxed or not, how fresh the ingredients are, the taste of the sauce, and if they can make a decent meatball. The linguine was made in the kitchen from scratch and the mushroom marinara was delicious. The meatballs are amongst the best I've had in the area, including two NYC Little Italys (Manhattan and Bronx). The salad was fresh and crisp and the bread came out warm and delicious. It's a bit of a drive from Clinton, but I am going to try their pizza at my next takeout opportunity.

The inside is quaint, with brick and stucco walls. My wife ordered the penne with broccoli. I ordered the linguini alla vongole (linguini with clams) in white wine sauce. Both entrees came with soup or salad. We both chose salad. They also brought some warm bread to the table with oil for dipping, though the bread did seem a little dry. I prefer my bread to be a bit more stretchy/chewy. We both enjoyed our meals. They were a good portion size, with nothing left to bring home. For dessert, I chose the affogato (special), my wife went with the fudge cake, and both of us had cappuccino. It is a BYOB but there is a liquor store next door if you want a bottle (or two) of wine.

Even though I am a Louis Prima fan (sorry for the obscure reference) the bone to meat ratio just doesn't make up for the higher fat content. At least for me. This guys ribs changed that. You don't eat these ribs so much as you hold them up and allow the meat to dive into your mouth like an Olympian off the 10 meter platform. They are that good. And I have eaten enough brisket in my life that writing a review including a reference to pork is probably something I shouldn't do publicly, but his is top notch. Lastly, I come on this site and often see reviews regarding the personal nature of the proprietor of the business, which are sometimes so vicious and misplaced, it is not a mystery why the writers of South Park want to feed some of the members of this site what they want to feed them. To that end, if you have a problem with either Dan or his staff, I would have to say that the problem is most likely with you. They couldn't be nicer, more courteous and helpful. I know that sounds like a lot for serving somebody BBQ but those fairgrounds on a weekend can be a certified nuthouse. At no time did I see anyone lose their patience or desire to help the customers.
