Not sure how this is rated so high. Was not impressed at all. My shellfish allergic wife couldn't get a clear answer about the shrimp content. I asked about what was in the "special" pho and all the guy said was that it was special. I ordered it and it was passable, but still couldn't figure out what was special. read more

Great place for pho. We were pleased to find a place like this in Tehachapi! We both ordered pho with steak, a boba drink, and the spring rolls. Everything was yummy and came out really quickly. The pho broth was very flavorful and a little different than other places. The spring rolls were great and the peanut sauce was absolutely delicious. It was not very busy when we were there, but I hope they keep business coming in! Go and try it! read more

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! the beef soup broth for the Pho was authentic and very flavorful. We were passing through this charming little town and found this wonderful gem. The best beef noodle soup pho ever, and the dark meat chicken broth with pho was amazing. All the ingredients were very fresh. The owners and servers were friendly and welcoming. We live in Tehachapi and it would be a very sad day if Pho ever closed. We love everything we've tried: the soup, and the fried tofu with vegetables, the spring rolls, and the boba. Nice little place with excellent customer service. Food was very good. I liked that the sauce was not like candy and a little more authentic. Had high hopes for this place due to the great reviews. We ordered the fresh spring rolls, seafood chow mein, grilled pork chop with rice and two bobas. The ingredients did not seem fresh. The shrimp was dehydrated in the spring rolls. The chow mein was overwhelmed with salty gravy and they used fish cakes, fake crab, tough calamari, and the dehydrated shrimp. The noodles were in clumps stuck together. The pork chop was dry and bland. The coconut boba drink was okay. The mango boba drink was too sweet and the boba was in clumps and under cooked (dry). And in this drought situation, they gave us two very large glasses of water that we could not finish. The only positive was that the service was fast. The place was not too clean, sticky table and we even saw an ant crawling across our table. Needless to say, we will not be back. read more

What a nice surprise. On a long drive we try not to eat anything to heavy. Most of the time we are forced to eat burgers, fast food or something along that line - since that is all that is really available on the drive between Las Vegas and Northern CA. I read about this restaurant online and was very excited. Pho, or rice or something other than burgers! I am very glad I pulled into this restaurant! It is located in a strip mall - and there is parking right in front. The restaurant is right off exit 148 - very convenient. It was clean, nice and the service was very good. We ordered pho and cha gio (egg rolls). The pho was very good... much better than I expected. They included a full plate of sprouts and cilantro. The iced tea was real jasmine tea iced. Over all a great experience. What a nice surprise to find a pho restaurant in a most unexpected location, and to find the pho to be good. No more burgers or fries for this traveler! read more

Would have given 4 stars but once I got to my job and wanted to eat my take out beef pho. I noticed the meat was not cooked at all. It was placed in plastic wrap on top of the onions. Blood had soaked through to onions. I called them back and said my meat wasn't cooked. They said once I reheat the broth and bring it to a boil to then place the meat in it the meat will then cook. So along with the meat I had to place the onions and noodles in there too bc of the blood. The food was good but I was really turned off by the uncooked meat and blood. read more

If you want a super refreshing pho this is it. By far the best I've had anywhere in the world. We came here last year and have looked forward to returning ever since. Got a Taro Bobba milk tea. Boba is the black tapioca. It feels really good in the hot summer 90+ F. Its kinda like a slushy blended ice drink. Really cooled me down!! What a find! Great service, the fresh spring rolls had just the right amount of mint to freshen your pallet for the Pho (soup) absolutely fabulous. We shared the house special and it was enough for us. Had to take home the beef with lemongrass vermicelli. Now doesn't that sound wonderful. Appetizer two dishes and Vietnamese hot coffee all for $27 what a bargain, this is a special find in a quaint wonderful town. . , Tried the restaurant for the first time tonight. All the Yelp reviews were spot on. You cannot judge a book by its' cover. Small, dingy and little ambience make you wonder if you should go in. Trust me, 20 plus years of working with and sharing meals with Asians of all countries you get spoiled to high quality great tasting foods. This place is a diamond in the rough.
