I've been at the Ft. Lauderdale location for dine in multiple times and I love it. However the last time I was at this location was easy 2-3 years ago so I decided to order take out since I was craving their food and they are close to home. I ordered2 rolls of sushi and an order of wings. Mar y Tierra roll and the sabroso roll weren't great. The avocado on both rolls were brown and it was just not tasty and small for the price. Great original selection of rolls, friendly service , interesting club like atmosphere. I don't recommend if you like to sit somewhere quiet for dinner, and it's a little tight in the seating, but certainly if you want to go somewhere after the club or even somewhere to dance a bit for dinner. read more

The fusion concept alone made things interesting and we enjoyed the drinks as well. 3 of us really enjoyed some of the apps and sushi, not to mention the passion, fruit and Coco mojitos. We started with mofonguitos, 1 chicken and 1 pork, both of which were yummy, and the pulpo or octopus appetizer, which was really nicely cooked with veggies. We also had 2 rolls, the Nueva Yol roll and El Fuerte roll, and enjoyed both. The drinks were good too: passion fruit mojito and Coco margarita. Great overall. Service was good too. The food here was good really enjoyed all the things we ordered. The highlight had to be the chicken skewers. It came with the chimichurri sauce that was kinda sweet and savory; and the chicken was juicy. The rolls we had was the "I'm Horny Roll and the El Fuerte Roll" both were good and the lowlight probably would be the chicken wings we got it was just basic. This was such a great place to have my birthday dinner at. The food was phenomenal!! First I had the El Fuerte- BOMB as f. It was made to perfection and so yummy. It's paired with a spicy red sauce and soy sauce. Next I had the Tiesto E'Pescao. WOW. Literally the best texture and mix of flavors. I had the itis and def had to take a nap after that meal. The service was nice. They had the DJ shout me out and they brought out a happy birthday sign with some tres leche! Tres leche is literally my favorite it was delicious. Ambiance is lively and they always got good Reggaeton or Dominican music playing. If you're looking for a hookah lounge with good eats and drinks I would definitely recommend going. Just know this is a smaller DOMINICAN spot... so music is going to be loud and it will get packed but this is what you signed up for. We were with the baby, so we decided to sit outside because inside there was hookah and really loud music, but if we weren't with the baby that wouldn't have bothered us at all. Total vibe in there. Our server was really nice and attentive, and our mofongo was very tasty. Would highly recommend. One tip I would give, is if you've seen the advertisements for 2 for 1 mofongos on Friday....they are a small portion, do not mistake it for getting two full size mofongos. Walking in the restaurant is decorated beautifully with Japanese inspired artwork and a dJ playing live music that makes you want to get up and dance. Here is what we got: *the Teke-teke roll: absolutely delicious. The ropa vieja on top was seasoned to perfection. *Nueva Yol: excellent roll! *The chofan rice: this was to die for. It is a sort of Chinese rice with sweet plantains. We got the chicken and rice mix. *the Hollywood roll: this roll was delicious too but the teke teke was better. *Ay Vea roll: I was personally not a fan but my husband ate two of these rolls and loved it. The main thing is to come with an open mind. Mofongo on Fridays is BOGO and good servings. Happy hour us best time to go for drinks and hookah. One of the things that bugs me is how they charge upfront for the hookah, new or repack they charge everytime and on all bills they include a 15% service charge. Sometimes the counter gets so full of used cups that it looks gross! Drinks are hit or miss and can take some time. BUTTTTT.... still I come here because of the location, the great vibe, and the music. Either this isn't the place to come to for lunch or don't make a take out order as soon as they open. It's one of the other. I learned of this restaurant (the Biscayne location) because of a TikTok I saw about the restaurant. I did a yelp search to preview the menu and was excited to see that there was a Pembroke Pines location. I initially wanted some yesterday but the restaurant was closed. I pushed my lunch back since the restaurant opened at 2pm so that I can order. Calling and ordering was a breeze and the lady that assisted me was very nice. The total ended up being $18 even though the menu online says $14. Apparently the actually price for the Mar y Tierra roll is $15 and they have 2.60% charge added to each bill. I've paid more for sushi so it wasn't a big deal but correct information posted would be helpful. So the first disappointment was that my roll was not hot at all. It was lukewarm if that. For those of you that know, the Mar y Tierra is shrimp tempura, queso Frita, Madura, guacamole, steak, chips and eel sauce. However on my roll I did not have queso frita, I did Not receive chips and my quacamole was brown which I ended up scraping off. So with everything that was on/supposed to be on this roll, it should have been warm or hot considering the shrimp tempura alone. Before I completely write this business off, I will check out the Biscayne location as their food looked a bit more fresh. read more

Went to try it out last night and the service was horrible and they weren't even busy. The hookahs are way over priced, the food was ok at best. Once we finished the meal and I asked for the check the waitress flashes the handheld machine at me and says the total but at no point shows me an itemized bill then takes my card and says she'll be back with the receipt. Once I have the receipt in hand it was not itemized and then they charge me a 15% service fee for using a credit card to pay who does that! After having this place bookmarked for years and even with El otro Tiesto opening 3 minutes away from my house I had to try this one first and I'm so glad I did. Being Dominican I'm so picky when it comes to Dominican restaurants because I guess I know what it's suppose to taste like and look like and El Tiesto cafe gives you a more modern version of all of our favorites. The food was great but the presentation.. OMG I love it. I'm a sucker for visuals and that got my attention. My daughter and I ordered delivery...I had the mofungo with pork chunks & mini tequeno's. The mofungo was a little dry even after putting the garlic oil on it. The pork was tough and very very dry. Despite being really dry the food did have flavor (saving grace). The mini tequeno's were delicious and helped saved this order. Maybe the fact that it was delivered had an affect on the food being dry. With that being said I may have to try it at the actual restaurant and give it another try. read more
