I've been at the Ft. Lauderdale location for dine in multiple times and I love it. However the last time I was at this location was easy 2-3 years ago so I decided to order take out since I was craving their food and they are close to home. I ordered2 rolls of sushi and an order of wings. Mar y Tierra roll and the sabroso roll weren't great. The avocado on both rolls were brown and it was just not tasty and small for the price. The chicken wings were also overcooked. I will try them again as dine in, but as take out they were a no for me.

Had fun at El Tiesto. The fusion concept alone made things interesting and we enjoyed the drinks as well. 3 of us really enjoyed some of the apps and sushi, not to mention the passion, fruit and Coco mojitos. We started with mofonguitos, 1 chicken and 1 pork, both of which were yummy, and the pulpo or octopus appetizer, which was really nicely cooked with veggies. We also had 2 rolls, the Nueva Yol roll and El Fuerte roll, and enjoyed both. The drinks were good too: passion fruit mojito and Coco margarita. Great overall. Service was good too. The only drawback was the seating. The tables with benches were super tight on space, so if you like to eat, you might be better off at a hightop, lol.

Great experience. I went on a Saturday and thought they would play all kind of music but they were just playing perico ripiado but other than that it was great experience!

Definitely enjoyed this location as well . Stopped by a Sunday morning afternoon to enjoy a quick brunch . Enjoyed the delicious menu and drinks . I opted for a mimosa and boy it was delightful. Eats : Opted for the chicken and waffles Tostadas There is an option for additional drinks and hookah if interested . The food was extremely good . Seasoned well . A large selection . Booth like seats or table seats . Light music was playing which was good to have . I would absolutely be coming back to try their Bento box options and sushi which looked amazing . I was extremely full so unable to try anything else on this visits

The food here was good really enjoyed all the things we ordered. The highlight had to be the chicken skewers. It came with the chimichurri sauce that was kinda sweet and savory; and the chicken was juicy. The rolls we had was the "I'm Horny Roll and the El Fuerte Roll" both were good and the lowlight probably would be the chicken wings we got it was just basic. Service was pretty good too our sever was cool attentive and also checked up on us occasionally. The Ambiance is what you're looking for if your into instagram. You might be wondering why if all that was fine why I gave it the score I gave here's why. When we came we were told that it was during happy hour. And that the flavored mojitos were part of the happy hour deal. When we got our bill they charged us regular price for the four drinks we ordered. And was told that they weren't able to change the price. And only offered a 15% discount on the total bill. Yeah that kinda left a bad taste in my mouth.

This was such a great place to have my birthday dinner at. The food was phenomenal!! First I had the El Fuerte- BOMB as f. It was made to perfection and so yummy. It's paired with a spicy red sauce and soy sauce. Next I had the Tiesto E'Pescao. WOW. Literally the best texture and mix of flavors. I had the itis and def had to take a nap after that meal. The service was nice. They had the DJ shout me out and they brought out a happy birthday sign with some tres leche! Tres leche is literally my favorite it was delicious. The ambiance was also popping. Good for large groups and great for your typical bad gyal pictures. I can't wait to go back just so I can try more on the menu. Thanks again!!

Menu has variety, happy hour as well as daily special Sushi & Mofongo is great and the few times I've visited it has always come out quickly. Ambiance is lively and they always got good Reggaeton or Dominican music playing. If you're looking for a hookah lounge with good eats and drinks I would definitely recommend going. Just know this is a smaller DOMINICAN spot... so music is going to be loud and it will get packed but this is what you signed up for. I seen too many negative reviews about loud music or service etc. If that makes you uncomfortable then I wouldn't go but just know you're missing out some great sushi fusion. Things to know before hand is that they already put at 15% service charge for gratuity as well as a credit card charge of 2.5%.

I usually go to their Miami location, but the Pines location is just as good! I absolutely love all of their Dominican sushi rolls. As a non-seafood lover, I genuinely enjoy the creativity! Their chicken mofongo is also incredible. The white sauce they put is to die for! This restaurant is always a vibe with great music and energy from their staff.

Kathy our waitress was so cool - love her. Pretty small in there, but we managed to get a table. Drinks are strong, beautifully presented and delicious. Some of the best drinks I've had with a dinner in awhile. I got the El Barrio roll which was really good and my date got a veggie roll since he's vegetarian. They didn't have many options for that. I really loved their mofongo specifically the Garlic sauce it was so flavorful. Great dining experience. I'd definitely return

Was very excited to try this place as it has been on my radar for the past few months. Walking in the restaurant is decorated beautifully with Japanese inspired artwork and a dJ playing live music that makes you want to get up and dance. El fuerte sushi had fried chicken and topped with steak and plantains that were so yummy. It left me wanting to order more. We also ordered el mofongo and churrasco the only this is i wish the mofongo had more flavor like garlic , salt and pepper maybe a bit of sazón which it was lacking. Overall would come again for the Japanese Dominican fusion meals but hope they add more adventurous items to the menu.

We ordered beef sliders and appetizer sampler, as we watched them prep the bar. Sliders were good. Tasty, hot and lots of flavor. First of all, my girlfriends and I bought 4 tickets to see the show. No one was checking tickets at the door so we could have come without tickets at all. We felt like we were scammed from the get go. Second, service was just abysmal. It took almost 30 minutes just for the server to come see us. Then the bottle of wine we ordered ($50 for a bottle of Josh) took another 20 minutes to get there. No water. The food was almost inedible. I'm not a person who EVER sends things back but this time I did because the mofongo was so dry I couldn't even swallow it. And the burlesque show.... I will say there was a few cool moments but some parts felt very... lacking in taste. Definitely not worth the ticket and meal prices. For sure will not be coming back here.

So, I wanted a change in food and didn't want to eat the regular chain restaurant food. We were in…read morethe area to go to the Brazilian restaurant next door to Juana's Sports Bar. However, as we drove up we noticed Juana's and decided to look it up and saw that it was Dominican food. As New Yorkers (of Caribbean decents- Haitian, Jamaica and Barbadian) now living in Florida we loved going to Dominican restaurants up north and decided to try it out. (We said we would try the Brazillian spot in the next couple of weeks for our son's graduation celebration.) On to the review: We entered and were immediately greeted and asked for a table for two. We did notice and found it somewhat odd that we passed so many empty tables and were seated in the back of the room near the bathrooms. (We half joked amongst ourselves as to possibilities as to why, but shook it off and tried to make the best of the new spot.) Our waitress was very sweet and we had no issues with her. Again, it was weird where we were seated with no other diners around and the fact that our waitress was servicing another area. Usually waiters services assigned areas that are not spread out. ‍ We ordered our food and it came out fast. For a Dominican place, we thought the food was under seasoned and needed more seasoning. The chicken chunks tasted more oily than seasoned and the pork chops were nicely cooked, but then again was not well seasoned as expected. As we dined an older woman came out from the back and upon hearing folks who she greeted responded and call her Juana, I figured out that she was the namesake and owner of Juana's Sport Bar. It was a little disappointing to see her greet other patrons with a big smile and hug( who I'm sure she knows) and not even turn and give us a hi or smile out of respect for coming to her establishment. Again, we spoke amongst ourselves as to possibilities as to why. ‍ A few minutes later an older gentleman passed by with a nicer demeanor and more welcoming personality and smiled and said enjoy the food, which put us as ease. When he came back around he went behind the bar and it was safe to say he was possibly Juana's husband and co-owner. Thanks to him for making us feel welcome. Again, as we continued to dine, I noticed a younger guy walking around and kept staring at us and I told my husband this because his back was turned. This guy at first was very menacing and actually made me feel uncomfortable. It was giving vibes of hurry up and eat. It was honestly very weird and uncomfortable vibes the way he kept staring and walking by to an area where we were the only diners. After a while he actually approach the table and asked if we were done. I honestly engaged in fake conversation with him and asked if he was the owner's son and he said yes. This actually made him break his mean like demeanor and he started to smile with us. Again, continuing with my fake conversation, because I just felt a little uneasy I said this is our first time here and he said ohhhh and smiled. I then asked about the young lady setting up by the stage and he said oh it's for Karaoke and he said I can try it out and I said nooo and we had a little laugh. I guess us laughing with him somewhat "humanized" us in his eyes. ‍ Back to Ms. Juana, we were now done and was asking the table busser for some containers (because at this point our waitress was busy in another section, and the front desk woman another one that seem to be rushing out came with the check for us to pay.). It appears that the guy didn't fully understand the request for take away containers and Juana noticed and came to the table to see what was needed. Ms. Juana came over stoned faced, with not even a smile on her face or friendly demeanor and heard what was needed and communicated back to he guy in Spanish. Juana needs to be more friendlier, because she never knows who is dining in her restaurant. Overall: The restaurant is clean and beautiful and I'm sure the vibes are great on some nights. The passion fruit margarita was a 10/10, food wasn't horrible but needed more seasoning. *Chicken Chunks tastes too oily and needs more seasoning Customer Service: *Juana needs to be more respectable and much more friendlier to ALL of her customers who come to support her. It only takes two seconds to be kind. Remember someone could be having a bad day and wanted to come out to have a good time and support your restaurant. *Please don't make, non Spanish customers feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Not everyone is a dine-dash( people who dine and don't pay) type of people. At first, we said we would be back to support, but after writing this review, have decided to look for another place where we would feel more welcomed and comfortable dining at. #VibesDon'tLie

First things first...I found this place on a random Sunday morning, and was like heyyy this is great, why don't I go here for breakfast to have some Dominican breakfast...it was like 10am..come to find out they don't open until 11am. Cool, maybe I'll try them some other time. The next evening, I decide to go back because I saw on their storefront they sell chimi's...I pull up, all lights are off. It's Monday, they're closed. Fine. This past Sunday, I try for my very last time...3rd times a charm, right? Wrong. This time they're at least open!! I see on their storefront that they have sancocho, so my mom and I decide to go in. As soon as I walked in, I found it very odd that there is no music or tv playing. They could've been playing a little bachata or merengue, come on...ambiance?!? Whatever. I also find it weird they have a huge "Corona Beer" banner instead of Presidente...odd. We're greeted by a server who's not Dominican. (Right there is a red flag for me, I tend to like Dominicans serving to feel like home but as long as the cook is Dominican, fine.) She proceeds to give us 1 menu and tells us to sit anywhere and she'll be right with us. She takes forever to get to us, when she finally comes to our table, I decide to order a chimi that I've been wanting for a week...she says "sorry, we don't have chimis. As a matter of fact, we don't have anything with bread." Umm ok. I then tell my mom to order because I now need more time to look at their menu...my mom orders sancocho. She replies "sorry we don't have sancocho right now". (Even though their sign is blinking outside with sancocho.) I then ordered something with plátano, and she said they don't have any either. How do you have a Dominican restaurant and not have plátano on deck??! Who's doing the inventory in this place?!? It's lunchtime, what the heck? The server recommends the yaroa, which for ppl who don't know what that is, is like street food...fries, cheese and meat...I would eat this after the club, not really for lunch. At that point, we decided to just walk out, which is such a shame because even though their menu was limited, it all sounded good but they just didn't have anything available. SMH. I tried 3 times...I will not be back. There are far more restaurants that will gladly take my money. I'm giving 2 stars...1 because parking is available because it's in a plaza, and 2 because they're Dominican and wanted various items off the menu.
