My advice is not to come here TOO hungry. That pile of little color-coded plates in front of you will multiply quickly, and it's easier not to think about the cost when you're not seeing the prices on the menu. One more plate. One more plate. One more plate. Also, you need to be an adventurous eater since you don't know what anything is. One member of our party asked "What's that? What do you think that is?" of every plate that floated by, but was afraid to actually take many without an answer. You can avoid all this by getting regular table service, and you can also order from the regular menu at the sushi bar with the floating sushi boats. I imagine that the waitress service is probably better at a regular table as well. But, the floating sushi is unique and such fun, while table service can be had anywhere. There is also amazing variety in the floating sushi, including cooked foods, and a great opportunity to try small portions of this and that. You just still need to figure out what you ate. read more

This is my favorite place for sushi. I've been so many times over the years, and each time it's been amazing. Tonight, ordered the edamame with ginger garlic sauce (amazing), avocado salad (really good portion for $6 and very good), Miami Dolphin roll for myself (definitely getting this again) and house special fried rice for the boyfriend (very good and not at all greasy like some places make it). The waitress was very attentive and quick, and she honored our Yelp check in coupon for free Thai donuts, despite the offer being expired. They were attentive and answered all my questions as a first timer, but the food was just not cutting it for me. This sushi bar is such an amazing find ! Their moat that surrounds the bar is such a creative way to try different types of sushi and other dishes for only about $2-$6 a plate ! I have been here many times before. It's a great place for date night or to just catch a meal with some friends. It has a great atmosphere and really good food. Most of the time I eat at the sushi bar. At the bar they have different dishes on little boats that go around the whole bar. The color of the dishes corresponds with a price on a card at the bar, and the dishes run between $2-6. Decided to come here because I love sushi and I like the novelty of the floating boats with wonderful offerings of food. My friend and I came here during Valentine's Day weekend and it was fairly packed. We could have gotten seated immediately at a table but we wanted to sit at the boat so we could partake in the boats, so we ended up waiting about 20 minutes. The sushi and edamame were delicious. I wasn't impressed with the other non sushi items - such as the dumplings, fried shrimp and ribs. The service is top notch. The chefs will make certain items for you if you don't see a plate of what you're looking for pass by on the boats. My friend wanted tuna tatkyi and we asked one of the chefs and he made it for her. Also, a server came by every few minutes to see if we needed anything. I didn't like the fact that they don't label the plates so I had no idea what was in the sushi I was eating so this isn't the right choice for you if you have allergies. Went to this restaurant when it is busy. I can't blame them for that. When we were seated we received great service considering how busy they are. This is one of the very few places that has dishes on a river of boats going around the sushi bar. My only gripe on the restaurant is that it does not have a lot of salmon selections on their rolls.
