Delicious sandwiches! I love their Philly the best. Nice to support locally owned business

We often go to this place on Wednesday, for what we call Wonton Wednesday. They have great Wonton Soup that comes with a half of a turkey sandwich that is huge. And prices are reasonable. What I like best about this place is every time I walk through the door there is always a smiling face to greet me and a friendly hello. It feels like a place where you are truly welcomed and appreciated. They make everyone feel that way...you get all of that and the best sandwiches...really what more could you want at lunch? read more

I had the Badda Bing Supreme sandwich and while it may be 2000 calories.. IT WAS AMAZING! I would definitely recommend checking out this small cafe near Magnolia. The prices are fair and I would also suggest only getting the half sub as the 12" sub is huge. read more

Tasty food. Very friendly owners. I ordered some food and then when it arrived, by my mistake I realized I was allergic to half the dish. They offered to make me something else at no cost, even though the mistake was mine not theirs. I ordered something else and forced them to take money for it. And the place has good air conditioning. Bottom line: 4 stars food (-1 for coffee), +1 for being a small business swimming upstream and consistent good service. Great breakfast croissant sandwich. Reasonable prices. Coffee trumps latte here: the coffee is good, but not great like you will find at a dedicated roaster. A very practical cafe. Unpretentious, if you like that kind of thing. It is not trendy, hip, etc. Come here before work, easy breakfast, continue your day happier. This is one of my regular spots when I work in this area. read more

I will start off by saying I have been on the east coast to primanti brothers for philly cheese steak sandwiches and to other Mom and pop places around Pittsburgh and other east coast cities. This is the worst sandwich shop I've ever been to. The lady making my sandwich didn't wash her hands nor did she wear gloves. In addition to that, they charged me $13 for a plain cheese sandwich. It did not taste good either. I was very disappointed with this place. read more

This is my favorite breakfast and lunch spot. The egg sandwiches in the morning are fantastic and the hot sandwiches for lunch are yummy, but what I love most about this place is the owners. You just know they care. They always greet my dog and bring him a treat. They greet regular customers by name. You don't find restaurants like too often. This place is a gem. read more

I've had both their breakfast and lunch, both were equally delicious. They were very generous with the bacon in my breakfast sandwich and the bread for my BLT was so fresh! I had an Americano from here as well and I thought it was definitely one of the best that I've had in a while (it must be my luck or something but a lot of places I get Americanos from are either too watered down or burnt). Small unpretentious coffee and sandwich shop, I have to admit all I ever order is the suasage egg croissant-- it's always made from scratch. Quick and delicious. They have a great deal on breakfast sandwiches, a sandwich and a coffee for $6. read more

The sandwhiches here are awesome. A little pricy but absolutely worth it. The meat and cheese is grilled then put on toasted bread with veggies to choose from to top it off. The family who owns it are really really friendly. Its also very fast! 100% reccomend for a great lunch spot, its a block from my work and I come here often for lunch. Pretty darn good sandwiches, but the prices are a bit high. $11 plus is a bit much for a sandwich for lunch but apparently their business model is working due to their favorable sandwiches, which include their Portobello Bliss, and the TBAS (turkey, bacon, avocado, and swiss). Very friendly service since they purchased the place three to four years ago; but I miss the old owners, their cute girls, and their cheaper prices with the same sandwiches. read more

Yummy! I really love this place. Since I generally have to walk to lunch...I am fortunate to have such a tasty joint right down the road. It's a really good deal. The sandwiches, although nothing extravagant, are very tasty and fresh. The prices are also good. My favorite part are the people that own/work there. They are so nice and started remembering me after my second trip even though they get really busy. So, if you are on the north side of Magnolia...or just passing by, I recommend stopping by. Neat little place to grab a great sandwich. Discovered Blue Heron when driving by and noticed they have a drive through window for espresso. Have decent coffee too. Very friendly staff and comfy chairs in living room setting to lounge around on. Newspapers and magazines to read. Very fast service. read more

We just bought a house a block away from Blue Heron. We are so, so excited to live so close to such a great little cafe! The folks who work there (I'm sure I will learn their names soon!) are genuinely friendly- you feel totally welcomed the moment you walk in the door. Their food is fresh and tastes like something that your mama would make you after a long day. It hits the spot. I'm a big fan of their croissant breakfast sandwiches as well as their sourdough bread for lunch. Even if the food was sub par I would come back just because of the great service. You can tell that they truly value their customers. That's not something you find every day. read more

The best vegetarian sandwich here is the Portobello Bliss ... it's so tasty! Also I love the tuna melt. Great salads if you have a bigger appetite too. The seating is comfy and there is plenty. The staff is super friendly. There is also a little outside patio for seating. read more

Breakfast is descent with cheap cheese and store bought bread. The warm sandwiches are descent yet the cold 12'' sub I got today had barley a pinch of meat, it was like eating a loaf of bread with one slice of turkey and some bacon. read more
