Food was out quickly. It was hot and very tasty. Service was good and friendly. It has a cool sporty atmosphere.

I'm so happy this location has opened up in Midlothian! I've been watching the "coming soon" sign for almost a year now, and soon is finally here! I've frequented the Mansfield location, and this one is set up differently. You place your order at the counter, and then can sit in the dining area to enjoy your meal. I usually get my dishes to go. I recommend the Pad Thai and the Crab Rangoon's!

Heat, 2 on 1, 4 on the other. Both way spicy unlike any visit before. May know why.

Service was excellent, but food felt short. The spring rolls were delicious and that's about it. My pad beef Thai smelled like a wet dog, beef lacked flavor. My husband's drunken noodles were overcooked with 2 big chucks on of Tomatoe in it. The establishment is beautiful and well decorated, but if I'm going to spend $12-$15 on a meal at lunch, I expect actual plates not plastic to-go containers. We've tried many other Blue Mint locations and loved them. I don't think I'll be returning to this one unless they change or train their chef.

I don't often leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share my thoughts on Blue Mint in Midlothian. I first tried their Pad Thai a while back in Mansfield and was underwhelmed, so I decided to give them another shot to see if there had been any improvements. Pad Thai is a dish that should shine with a balance of flavors, and unfortunately, the experience fell short again. We ordered two Pad Thai dishes and found them to be a bit lacking. While they are generous with the noodles, they could greatly benefit from enhancing the flavor and sauce. With so many noodles, it's crucial to have enough sauce to create that signature taste, as they tend to absorb it. Additionally, the protein portions--specifically the tofu and chicken--felt a bit sparse. A better balance of ingredients would really elevate the dish. I also found the raw bean sprouts a bit confusing; perhaps lightly cooking them with the noodles would enhance their flavor and texture. While I appreciate their efforts to cater to a diverse audience, I believe there's room for improvement, especially if they aim to be considered among the best in DFW. For those who prefer authentic flavors, it might be worth looking elsewhere for a truly great Pad Thai. Overall, I'd love to see Blue Mint refine their recipes to better satisfy all palates in the future. P.S. My son just told me that the microwaveable Pad Thai at Costco is a lot better.

Blue Min Thai is a gem! Flavors are great and keeps you wanting more. We started off with the Blue Mint Sampler. You can pick 3 of the appetizers and we selected: crab rangoons, crispy spring rolls, and fried dumplings. For the entree I had the orange chicken with steamed rice. Everything was filled with flavor, colorful and freshly made. Portions were so filling that I had to take home leftovers and they were just as great the next day! Staff is super friendly, and service is quick. The atmosphere is chill, inviting, and stylish. Parking is easy so it helps during a quick lunch break. Definitely coming back! Support local!

This place seems more style over substance, for me. It's a beautiful old house, very out of place here in Texas. It reminded me of the houses I grew up in back in New England. It has been wonderfully converted into a restaurant. The server was great, the owner talked to us, checked in. The food, I think, is lacking. Especially for the price. We each had a mixed drink. Mine was, ok. I had the Summer Suitor which is an odd mix of bourbon and sparkling wine. I was a little weird to me - quite sour, not the best mix. For dinner I had their special - a steak frites. Plenty of shoestring fries. But, my steak was raw. I think I asked for it medium or medium rare. This was the first time in my life I had to ask for a steak to be reheated. I think they just left it back under the warming lamps for 5 minutes which helped little. For the prices and the stories we heard about where their meat comes from and the pride they take in their food, I wasn't expecting this. The sides were ok but not great. The truffle mac and cheese - all I can say is what I mainly tasted was the wax-coated paper container those bread crumbs came from. It's so odd. I was excited to truffle mac and cheese but it did not do it for me. Again, for the price, I've had better. The Brussel sprouts were ok but undercooked for my liking. The asian inspired sauce they come in is excellent. My wife had their ahi tuna special and raved about the romesco sauce on top, which we've never seen before on tuna but she liked it a lot. The owner told us about the people that owned the block and moved this building and other houses to this location. All I could think of is that must be why it's so expensive. Rent must be killer! I know this sounds like a negative review. It's just my honest experience. Don't know if we'll go back.

The place was fully booked, but the hostess saved the day and offered us lounge seating on the sofas. Honestly, it felt a little VIP...like we'd accidentally wandered into the cool kids' corner. I halfway considered putting on my sunglasses indoors just to commit to the moment, maybe even asking if they offered bottle service in the lounge. Within 10 minutes we were settled in and already getting excellent service. And as if the vibe wasn't good enough, there was a one‑man show crooning jazzy tunes in the background. He was smooth, talented, and added just the right soundtrack for an early dinner. Think "speakeasy energy," but suburban‑friendly. Now, the food. My husband ordered the Crunchy Pig sandwich, my sister went for the half rack of ribs, and I claimed the smoked turkey BLT. Everything hit the table about 20 minutes later, hot, fresh, and so lip‑smacking tasty that we inhaled every bite before remembering we meant to take pictures. My apologies to the food‑photo purists; trust me, the plates were camera‑ready before we destroyed them. If you find yourself wandering around The District in Midlothian, do yourself a righteous favor and grab a memorable meal here. Great food, great service, great music, and apparently great sofas.

Tried this location because it's been years since I've been in one and we wanted something close. All of the food came out hot and the bread in my burger wasn't stale! I thought my burger was pretty good, not too greasy, right amount of thousand island and a relatively soft bun. I stole the ranch from my sons chicken tender basket/plate and the ranch was delicious. We came in around 5ish on a Tuesday and sat right down. The waitress sat us so we got our drinks immediately and was able to order shortly after that. Service was good throughout the meal. Hidden gem alert!…read more The Dessert Bar in Midlothian is absolutely worth the hunt, even with the construction mess making it harder to get to right now. Once you find it, though, you'll be glad you did. This spot combines two of my favorite things: decadent desserts + a legit full bar. Whoever came up with this concept deserves a medal. What I had: Raspberry Almond Cake - 5/5. Moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The almond balanced the raspberry perfectly, and the slice was massive. Sharing is optional, but I didn't. ;) Chocolate Chip Cookie - 5/5. Giant, warm, and delicious. It had that perfect chewy-meets-crispy texture, and thankfully wasn't dry (a common downfall for oversized cookies). Old Fashioned - 5/5. Honestly, one of the best I've had anywhere. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and strong. I wasn't expecting cocktail game this good at a dessert spot; pleasantly surprised! They've only been open about three months, and I really hope more people discover them because this concept is so good. A cute, cozy vibe, amazing desserts, and strong cocktails? Yes, please.
