The place is beautiful! Looks like a renovated church. The decorations are simple and beautiful. The wonders are stained glass and really elevates the experience. Our service was wonderful. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and after we sat down the waiter came and got our drink and appetizer order. My SO mentioned that it was our first time and he had some recommendations for us. He really sold the bread pudding, so even though we were full, we did order it :) (really good decision, no regrets there) Food was great and I couldn't be more excited. I've always said we don't have a lot of fine dining options in Midlothian. We've got Mo and Hari's- aside from that, everything else has been disappointing. The smoked salmon crab dip had a wonderfully Smokey flavor. Wasn't too salty like smoked salmon can sometimes be. We ordered the crab finger which was a special we saw on the blackboard at the front and they were so full of flavor. Butter, garlic and white wine to be exact. Very easy to eat and I would highly recommend it. We both ordered the stuffed fish, which was more of a "topped" fish. I wouldn't say that particular dish blew me away, but the bread pudding sure did. The warm bourbon sauce, apples and nuts were fantastic. It made me sad that we couldn't finish it

Always superior food and staff. It's such a pleasure to have well trained waitstaff. The food here is just 5star everytime. Noise can be above average when super busy but when it's not crowded the rehab old church is nice

Wilson's was delicious! Our waitress Jennifer was superb! She made the experience even better! The ambiance was super cute. Family, country chic, classic and inviting! The service as I mentioned was top notch. Good was super yummy! The calamari, firecracker shrimp and potato cake were so delicious. Especially that cake, never had one before and would love one right now. The salmon, crab cakes, gumbo, chicken pasta, jalapeño hush puppies and alligator were also all delicious. Full of flavor and seasoned well. Also the children loved the tenders and waffle fries! Perfect ending to a trip/time spend with family!

    Sooo good

Food was awesome. The place is so cool. How they fixed up this area is a good story. The server was friendly and our food came out quickly. I highly suggest the salmon. I know they have salmon a lot of places but I would bet it won't be as fresh.

Ambience was nice, cute spot I found after leaving a baseball game. Clean restrooms too. Food was so and so. I got the shrimp pasta Sergio which was ok. It was soupy and Alfredo sauce wasn't creamy, just runny. My husband got the catfish and shrimp platter. Catfish was good, he didn't care for the coleslaw. My son got the ribeye with side of potatoes.

My mother asked for lobster for her 80th birthday. My brother contacted Shawn and he made it happen by offering a lobster tail special the night of our reservation. The ambiance is adorable in an old church, drinks were yummy even though they have limited liquor choices, the food was great! We had a wonderful evening!

This is a beautiful addition to Founder's Row. Located in an old church that was moved to the site, we were able to attend the soft opening party on Sunday afternoon. The decor is fabulous with church pews and stain glass surrounding the building. We were able to try the shrimp spread, which was fabulous. Also tried the cake fish and fried catfish. We thought the breading on the catfish was a bit thick and hid the flavor of the fish. Overall a great introduction to this new restaurant. Looking forward to trying the full menu in the future.

Spent our 19th anniversary at Wilson's tonight... the food, drinks and atmosphere was perfectly perfect! We had calamari, fried catfish, grilled shrimp, fish tacos, and creme brulee. Everything was delicious and Parker the bartender was our server and the service was excellent! Great experience for a quiet anniversary celebration.

Service was impeccable, let's start there! Nikki our waitress was so friendly and had great recommendations. We tried the crab cakes and jalapeño hush puppies, shrimp poppers, we were also provided a sample of a new shrimp spread which was delicious! For entrees we tried the gumbo, the Cajun chicken pasta, and a grilled fish platter. We also tried the bread pudding for dessert which I found to be a touch too sweet but others at the table enjoyed. The inside definitely has a vintage feel, the booths are actually repurposed church pews which was cool. It was a great find and one I hope to frequent again!

We made another visit to Wilson's and it did not disappoint. Just like the first visit, the service was amazing and so was the food. We came on a Friday night and while it was busy, we were seated immediately. I just love the charm of this place. It's so cute. We ordered calamari as our starter and they brought us a complimentary order of firecracker shrimp to try. Both were good. For our meals, I ordered the stuffed fish and my hubby had the cedar plank salmon. I wasn't in love with my stuffed fish. It seemed like something was missing seasoning wise or maybe it was the type of fish. It wasn't bad but it wasn't my fave. My hubby enjoyed his salmon. Overall, we love this little hidden treasure and will continue to visit.

If it wasn't priced so high I would order double the plates. But every time we go (2 adults 4 kids) we spend around $100 but it's so worth it. Get anything with the voodoo sauce and anything stuffed with crab and you will not be disappointed. Even the burger is a great classic burger. None of this "smash burger" thin patty thing. They ask "how do you want your burger done" which means they pay attention to your food and it shows. We got crawfish 2lbs for $10 today and the seasoning on them was PERFECTION. I do not even like crawfish but when I saw my kids go after them I knew they had to be good so I gave it a try. We have only lived here for 4 years and were soooo grateful to have such delicious food near our home. The Italian place and Tex mex on Boat Club are nothing compared to BooRays!

Vibes were chill. The Food: Cajun Style Ribeye: Bold flavor and cooked well. It was a bit fatty, but honestly, for the price point, the quality was definitely there. Mashed Potatoes: Solid side, no complaints. Etouffée: This was the standout. Very flavorful and authentic--I'd highly recommend adding this to your order. The Service: Even sitting at the bar alone, the service was attentive and my food came out surprisingly fast. Off its first appearance, the restaurant appears as your classic no-frills, get-what-you-asked for establishment. There is lots of outdoor seating, very fair pricing, and a surprisingly extensive menu; I doubt you'll fail to find something you enjoy here. Overall it seemed like a location that would be bumping in conjunction with Baylor college nights, post church service, or otherwise Waco-oriented affairs. My only complaint was really the smell. We came near close when some workers were cleaning, however there was an apparent chemical stench within the patio, between the inside seating and outdoor seating. My partner ordered the sausage po boy, while I ordered the fried chicken plate, wish mashed potatoes & gravy + green beans. The wait was rather long, which can be attributed towards the chicken's cook time - which might be front scratch. After we got our plates, I certainly couldn't complain. The chicken was decently sized and decadent with flavor. Consistent, strong Cajun spicing littered the tray and chicken, while its interior was extremely juicy and filled with flavor; additionally, it still maintained structure and provided a nice crunch on the surface. The mashed potatoes were equally as enjoyable. The gravy complemented the potatoes well, and established an equilibrium through texture. The green beans however, were not my favorite. They initially appeared fine on the surface, but became watered down and lacking in flavor the farther down the bowl you went. I would not be surprised if these beans were canned. I would certainly find myself eating here again. Its biggest appeals are the prices, genuine quality of food, and disposition. It is not perfect, but it is more than satisfactory. If you cannot get over the minor inconveniences that you may run into here, then you probably shouldn't be eating Cajun anyways.

The environment felt very unprofessional and uncomfortable. Most of the employees appeared to be very young and seemed confused and unsure of what they were doing. When Jordan brought my food out and handed it to me, the bag broke and my food fell to the ground. Instead of addressing the situation, she looked at me as if I was supposed to pick the food up myself and go to the back to get another bag and repackage everything. Only after I spoke up did she go to the back, bring out a new bag, set it on the table, and walk away to take a phone call without assisting further. I then asked to speak with a manager (not the GM). Another young lady came out and responded by saying that "some people would have picked the food up and put it back in the bag," implying that it was a personal preference. At that point, I was honestly shocked. The level of customer service and professionalism was extremely disappointing. Overall, the customer service experience was absolutely terrible and left a very negative impression.
