This place is small and friendly. They have really good breakfast and lunch food at near unbeatable prices for the mountains. The blue moon special is a classic go to breakfast sandwich that puts the egg mcmuffin to shame. they also have really good pastries. Living on an island with hardly ANY bagel options aside from a grocery store or a 30-minute drive, I forgot what a true bagel sandwich tasted like. . . that's when Blue Moon Bakery saved me! This was the BEST I've had in as long as I can remember-- bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. I don't know what the secret is. . but there must be something that made is so damn good. (Don't say it's because I live on an island and my options are minimal, LOL) I was mesmerized by all the other bakery goods staring me in the mouth but I couldn't focus enough to order more as the line was long and it was busy inside. So happy to have stumbled on this place, since another breakfast place was packed. We ordered a breakfast burrito (emphasis on fast!) with spicy salsa and an everything bagels with fresh made veggie cream cheese. Both were great. The spicy salsa on the burrito was just the right amount of heat, without being overbearing. There were so many fresh baked goodies, I had to get out of there as soon as possible before walking out with 8 bags of sweats and fresh baked breads. I wanted everything in the case. Blue Moon is one of my favorite bakeries. I always make a point to stop here when I am up from Denver visiting my parents. I've tried a lot of their selection and have always enjoyed it all! There also seems to be new stuff each time I visit. There have been a few times that the service was pretty bad, but I haven't gotten attitude the past couple times, so I'm happy. I haven't found a bakery in Denver that I like as much as Blue Moon! read more

This place is amazing on multiple fronts. Food is great, very tasty and always hot. My friends mention they have excellent gluten free options that tastes wonderful. We always stop in for breakfast before skiing. There is always a line but we are in and out within 10 mins. Prices are as to be expected for the mountains. read more

My sister and I dropped in here for lunch and we felt like we hit the jackpot. The menu is friendly to a lot of diet types with veg & gluten free options all over -- it was hard to pick what to eat! I had an avocado BLT on rosemary garlic bread and thought I was in heaven. They sell loaves of bread and some amazing-looking baked goods as well. We always stop at the Blue Moon Bakery on our way to Breckenridge because their food is delicious: on our last trip, my friend and I chowed down on a French Dip Sandwich that was made completely right and a roast beef sandwich, perfect in it's simplicity. Their bread is delicious and they are super fast at serving the line that always seems to wind out the door. My only complaint with this company is that their baked goods simply aren't very good, which is saying a lot, seeing how it's pretty hard to screw up a brownie, but that's exactly what happened when we ate there last. I gave into temptation and got one of their M&M brownies and my friend got a Blondie. We both took one bite on the drive home, looked at each other and spit them out. That's how terrible they were! I now know that while the Blue Moon is a GREAT place to have lunch or breakfast burritos that maybe they should focus in on the taste of their baked goods rather than just having a huge amount available. Quality over quantity would help here, but I'll still be stopping by for their savory foods - well worth it. read more
