The food is fresh as it was consistently being refilled by staff. Pretty much everything was tasty. I like that there are many options you don't see at most buffets. The servers are attentive to clearing plates and bringing refills. The inside is very large and accommodating for large groups. Lots of seafood options, chicken, and dessert! Definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Disappointed with My Visit to Blue Pearl Buffet I went to the bank today for some errands, and by the time I was done, it was already 1 PM. I told my husband, "Let's grab a quick lunch outside before we head to the grocery store." Right across the road, we spotted a place called Blue Pearl Buffet. I thought why not try something new? Most buffets around here are usually decent, so it felt like a safe choice. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be very disappointing. Almost 90% of the food was cold, and the amount of MSG used was overwhelming ,it left a weird aftertaste and an unpleasant feeling in my mouth for hours afterward. I didn't expect much from the sushi section, but I certainly didn't expect it to be rubbery hard either. The only good thing was the chilled water. Also, just because food looks good in pictures doesn't mean it tastes good ,this place is the perfect example of that. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're expecting a fresh, enjoyable buffet experience. There are better options nearby where your money and taste buds will be better respected.

The restaurant was clean and well lit, it was just before the dinner rush so it was about 1/3 full. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. The buffet bars were well stocked and food looked appetizing and tasted like one would expect on a Chinese buffet. Over 150 items were advertised. While I didn't count there was an abundance of items as can be seen in the photos. I took my time eating and when I left the place was over half full. Not bad for a Monday. The atmosphere was relaxing and several families were there. The dinner price of $20 seems reasonable given the huge selection. My stomach wasn't big enough to try everything but what I had I enjoyed. 4 stars only because it was a buffet.

Not too bad for the price. A very good value and lots of variety. They had several shrimp dishes, baked salmon, and chicken. They also had non Asian dishes too. They tried to keep it clean and the service was good.

It is always good to eat here. Not too crowded on week nights. Service and food are good.

I usually don't leave reviews, he food was raw chicken. Yes, raw. Not undercooked, straight-up pink.

I don't normally leave reviews but this buffet was so bad I feel obligated to warn others. First off, the food was RAW chicken. Yes, raw. Not undercooked straight up pink.

Stopped for a quick lunch with my mom after the morning at My Vernon. I was skeptical due to the low star rating. But I looked at the google rating and gave me a better feel. I got to the restaurant just after noon. The buffet was large and tidy, salads, fruit, seafood, sushi, hot dishes, Mongolian bbq (custom dishes) and dessert. The dining room is clean and staff/wait staff was very tentative. All the flavors for good the food is hot. Only complaint I have is the garlic shrimp were hard to peel If I'm in the area, I will definitely stop for another buffet lunch :-)

Upon entering your greeted and everything. The employee was speaking in a very low voice though. Also you could very easily tell there was a lack of ventilation inside the place. The pricing was very high for a weekday dinner. After being seated in a booth that had very heavy wear & tear on it plus the springs were shot too. I decided to give the food a try. The food area was very strange for a buffet environment. Barely any steam coming off most of the food. Also a lot of food looked nowhere near fresh. The sushi area was very limited as well as the hibachi area too. The hibachi area raw food you could easily tell lacked even a decent QUALITY of meat. Upon tasting the food. The sushi tasted like utter crap. Nowhere near fresh. I've NEVER had sushi this bad before. Even spit a few pieces out. The other food was barely warm. Some even cold. This is the only buffet where you DON'T see steam coming off all the food. The hibachi food looked very weird after it was cooked. It was even debatable if it was actually pure chicken. Just discarded the entire plate due to not knowing if it was pure chicken and not a unknown meat. The crabs were a TOTAL FAIL. **SEE PICS**, Broken pieces drowned in oil as well as the overall appearance of the crabs looked very strange. Just discarded the entire plate of crabs. The hot food. 90% of the food was nowhere near hot nor barely even warm. Most of the chicken was cold and you could easily tell it was old meat either from yesterday or earlier today. Had to spit out most of the food due to it being undercooked and cold. Also the food selection here is very very poor compared to other buffets these days. The employees are friendly here. Not very social though. The general crowd was mainly adults. Some kids. Highly mature though. The ventilation was very bad here. No air circulating really. No AC or any fans on. It was becoming humid. The overall noise level was normal for a buffet. You could however overhear some people complaining about never coming back due to the quality of the food and also due to the fact they're giving everyone TAP WATER instead of filtered water. Overall. THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL DUMP. The place was clean. But the food they're serving is nowhere near fresh and some of it is even highly questionable about the type & quality of meat. NEVER AGAIN.....

Good thing we arrived early enough to beat the crowd and get dibs on the food that alone would be worth $20 if eating by itself in a typical Chinese resto - examples include the seafood (which my wife says was surprisingly fresh compared to all other buffets we've had in the past), ribs, roast duck, pho (yes...PHO!) - to name a few. The place itself is quite spacious, modern looking, and clean. Tables were NOT crammed together like some other buffets might be. Restrooms were big and clean. Speaking of cleanliness - plates were clean AND DRY (unlike every other buffet I've been to where the dishwasher seems to be so overwhelmed that plates come out wet...yuck) Staff is amazing! Friendly, took their time, efficient at removing dirty plates, and gentle...not sure what I mean by that, but I feel like it made my dining experience that much better. Food-wise, I'd say was slightly a step above in terms of the non-seafood items. My wife says the seafood was top notch. I really enjoyed the ribs, chicken stick, and beef broccoli - although everything else was quite tasty. My 7 y/o enjoyed the pizza, fries, and chicken nuggets. The taro bun was nice and soft - a definite departure from the stale, hard-on-the-outside buns I was accustomed to at other buffets. Most surprisingly was that they had pho!...which I've never ever seen before at a Chinese buffet. I didn't have a chance to try it, but will certainly do so next time. Parking-wise - there seems to be dedicated parking at the resto level (at least I didn't see any other businesses at that lower level) which can be accessed by driving straight towards the buffet and NOT going to the upper level where the Burlington strip mall is. If lower level parking is full, there would certainly be more parking in upper level....then simply take the stairs down to buffet. I'm excited to go back....and excited for YOU to try it! Definitely one of the best....if not THE BEST Chinese buffet I've ever been to. And having experienced the Chinese buffets in Southern California, that's saying a lot! NOTE: Don't compare a buffet to a traditional Chinese restaurant. In a buffet....it's more about getting your fill. Here, I think you'll find that you not only get your fill, but you'll be satisfied. OH! And my stomach was not upset at all afterwards (apart from being soooo full lol). Bon appetit!

The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is clean and well maintained, which immediately sets a great impression. The variety here is incredible -- everything from Chinese favorites and dim sum to sushi, a raw bar, hibachi grill, made-to-order noodle stations, and an impressive dessert selection. There are honestly too many delicious options to list. Some of my personal favorites include the carved brisket roast and the perfectly steamed halibut. I also loved the made-to-order noodle bar, where I customized a pho bowl topped with beef, wontons, and roasted duck. It was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. With so many high-quality options, you truly get both variety and great taste here. This is one buffet that definitely exceeds expectations.

I've never heard of this spot before, and you typically will not find me in Springfield. However, a few of us made lunch plans this past Good Friday to take advantage of the $29.99 AYCE weekday lunch pricing. We got three rounds of beef brisket (chadol), one thin & thick pork belly (samgyupsal) each, and half an order of large intestine (daechang). The chadol was a little too fatty than I'd like, but it was high quality and comparable to non-AYCE options like Meokja Meokja. I didn't love the thin samgyupsal as much, but the thick version was so meaty and juicy. The intestines were a fatty treat, and I was good with just a couple bites. We had to ask for ssamjang and sesame oil for sauces, which they were generous with giving. Our server was pretty attentive, but we thought it was weird that he cooked the thin samgyupsal and the beef brisket at the same time. As for sides, we asked for lots of them (sadly our corn cheese never came). The fermented soybean stew was strong, but a bit too salty at the end. The egg bomb was fluffy and delicious. They also have ramen (aka shin ramen) which we enjoyed by adding several pieces of chadol and letting it soak in there to get that deep meaty flavor. I enjoyed the kimchi throughout the meal, which was the perfect "not quite fresh, but still crunchy" texture. Overall, we ate to our heart's content. I definitely would be back for more chadol, thick samgypsal, and a bit of daechang in the future. The $30 pricing is a steal for the amount of food we got, but I'd hesitate to pay for the $40 dinner price. I don't eat enough at AYCE spots to get my money's worth, so I would rather spend that $40 at a non-AYCE spot for higher quality cuts like galbi and rib tips.

Easily some of the best I've had in the area in a long time, and they set the bar high going into the meal. Once we got to the meat, though, it was a little underwhelming. The all you can eat selection was limited, and a lot of the flavors leaned sweet. We were hoping for more savory, classic Korean BBQ flavors. The sauces were fine, but nothing that really stood out. If we came back, we would definitely add on the ribeye or galbi instead of sticking strictly to the all you can eat option. Service was great and attentive, and the atmosphere is solid for the Springfield area. That said, our hood vent almost came off mid grill, which definitely took away from the experience. Overall, a strong start with great banchan and service, but the BBQ itself did not quite deliver.
