I had the opportunity to join my friends at a birthday celebration for my friend's son . He is an artist, and his specialty is drawing botany and flowers. He was especially attracted to the beautiful flowers and leaves that were painted on the walls of the restaurant. The hostess ushered us to a special, capacious table in a quiet nook of the restaurant. In that space we had an amazing dining experience. The waitress, Olivia, was kind, attentive, and overall an amazing server. Albeit she was busy, she went out of her way to make ours a special dining experience. The food, was absolutely delicious. Each member of our party of four enjoyed our respective meals. I had a fish sandwich that was absolutely scrumptious. Throughout the meal, Olivia returned to the table many times to make sure that we were attended to, and satisfied with our meals. As I mentioned previously, it was my friend's son's birthday, and we came specifically to this restaurant to celebrate it. We were absolutely astounded when our server brought a scrumptious chocolate layer cake with a birthday candle for the birthday person. She also organized the staff to sign a card with birthday felicitations. Such a kind gesture on her part! In summary, I highly recommend Burton's Grill as it is an amazing restaurant. It checks off all the boxes for atmosphere, delicious food, and an amazing staff ; it offers the customer an excellent dining experience. I can't wait to return to try other entrées in the future. Just moved to Virginia and we decided to stop by Burtons and have a bite! Ample parking! The food I wanna give an 6/10! It was good and both were flavorful. What was missing from both was that they lack sauce for the dishes. However, the spinach and artichoke dip, 10/10! Fantastic! Also; for the lobster roll it was just all falling out and not staying in the roll. The service tho was amazing! And it wasn't too loud and busy for Friday night! This was a random stop for us and I didn't know what to expect. It was lunch time and I wanted some American food. Not what I expected but it will suit specific people looking for their offerings. Burton's Grill is your typical all American restaurant but focuses on serving all the dietary needs of Americans with allergies or not. Outside sitting, full large bar, sports on several TVs above the center of the bar, and a lot of servers milling around here. Great lighting, not loud but not quiet either, just chill. We were starved so our eyes ate. Brunch was still being served till 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays so I grabbed the French Toast and the Steak and Eggs. My friend had allergies with gluten so she went with a salmon and some super salad dish. She was happy as all the dishes had markers for gluten free, food free, soul free, etc. Very helpful for all allergy infused humans. Great waitress btw. Fantastic service. Food came after some time, we requested for everything to come out on time. Steak and egg was okay but I'd go with the prime rib next time. The steak came out sliced with 2 poached eggs on top. The hash on the side was on point. Salmon okay too. Salad was okay but we should have added a protein on top. A little dry on dressing maybe but we could have requested more so that's on us. On the other hand, the French toast had me scratching my head. It was cubed challah bread but eggs was 0, zero, nada eggs on it. I thought I was eating croutons which would have gone great with the super salad dish thinking about it now. The French toast really bunched up my undies, French toast is my favorite breakfast thing you see. They explained it was prepped that way for allergy sake due to the egg. I've been seeing this place for a while. We finally decided to stop in tonight. The huge bar is in middle of restaurant with tvs above to watch the games. We were seated in the dining area in between the bar and the bar and the outside patio. We ordered the she crab soup and calamari to start. There is a full size bar with beer, wine, and plenty of spirits. The lemon lavender Sangria is refreshingly pleasing. Our server was very attentive without hovering. Shout out to Joseph!!! The food is OK. About the same as any other restaurant of this caliber. The pricing is a tad steep for the portion sizes. Parking isn't great, you have to park around back and it's a bit of a walk to the entrance. I have never had such a terrible lobster roll. We ordered two lobster rolls to go, and from the moment they arrived, there was an overwhelming and unpleasant fishy smell. I initially hoped I was imagining it, but once we got home even before opening the food, the smell quickly filled the house. Unfortunately, the taste lived up to the smell. The lobster had an intensely fishy, almost sour taste and seemingly no seasoning or butter whatsoever. There was simply nothing enjoyable about it. The only good part of the lobster roll was the bread--but there's only so much that can go wrong with toasted bread and butter. The accompanying fries were good. What made the experience even more disappointing was the price: approximately $75 for two extraordinarily small lobster rolls. At that price, I expected an excellent lobster roll, not something we could barely eat. There are several other places in the area where you can get a much better lobster roll, for considerably less. An astonishingly disappointing meal and an exceptionally poor value. I would absolutely not order the lobster roll again. read more

We've now been to the Sterling and Alexandria location and enjoyed both! It's the only place where we know there's a separate gluten free kitchen thats making delicious foods and they are super accommodating and that makes it even more desirable. They can make a lot of alterations and I've never gotten an eye-roll at my requests! I LOVE that they bring your martini or cosmo order to the table in a shaker and shake it for you- GAME CHANGER!!!!!!!! I had the Thai steak salad and it was excellent, the chocolate cake was tasty too- but I almost cried when I could order focaccia knowing it was gluten and dairy free ! A MUST when you go. Went to Burtons Grill & Bar in Northern Virginia for a friend's 60th birthday. It was such a nice, chill atmosphere -- cozy, clean, and family-friendly. The wait staff was great, very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was amazing! We tried a few different things -- the bag of donuts was delicious, and that little hint of lemon in the icing made them perfect. The General Tso cauliflower was surprisingly good -- crispy and full of flavor. The bread service was warm and fresh. Three of us had the short rib hash, and it was tender and hearty. We also ordered the Skillet French toast and the salmon, both really good. If I had to rate the dishes: Donuts - 10/10 Cauliflower - 10/10 Bread - 8/10 Short rib hash - 8/10 There wasn't a single bad thing to say about this place. Enjoyed a celebration dinner at burtons on a weeknight. We made a reservation in advance and were glad we did so, it was surprisingly full for a Tuesday! We started with an appetizer, the tuna tar tar, which was incredible. For entrees we enjoyed the crab cakes with Parmesan truffle fries and the chicken risotto. I can't help get the crab cakes every time I visit a burtons location, they are just that good. It's full of crab meat, not fillers. Service was decent and they gave us a card for our celebration! This place is our go to when we wanna go out to just listen to music and same time enjoy food. The service is always good. I enjoyed those chicken firecrackers. And their chicken wings thai is also really good. They used to have the lobster pasta but hhhhmmmm hope they bring those back. I have been to Burtons a few times for work occasions. Located just off of telegraph rd Burtons has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Inside you'll be met by a hostess. Inside is a modern upscale sports bar interior where they have tables and a bar. I have been there a few times and have tried many things on the menu and generally everything comes out very well and delicious. Most recently I went and got the ribeye and sides (pictured). Unfortunately both the ribeye and mash potatoes weren't up to par with the rest of the food I've tried including appetizers. And I hate to say that the best thing on my plate that day was the broccoli. I hope this isn't an indication on there steaks are usually. I am more than happy to try Burtons again but maybe next time I'll choose something other than the ribeye. read more

Burton's Grill & Bar went beyond my greatest expectations. We just moved to the area and I notice it had excellent reviews the last time I checked it. We came here - our first time - spur of the moment this past Thursday. I was expecting a restaurant similar to Ruby Tuesday or Applebees, yet it was very different. I have worked in the food and customer service industry as a server, prep cook, and hostess in five star restaurants, so I am very wary of restaurants and food places in general - even five star restaurants. Superlative customer service, good hygiene in food preparation & cooking, and exceptionally delicious food are of the utmost importance to me. It appears Burton's staff & our server, Daniel, exceeded our expectations exponentially - more than any restaurant we have went to in this area. Prices are fair and well priced. We didn't eat the more expensive entrees on the menu, yet we will try them in the future especially when they serve my favorite soup, French onion soup. Ambience is industrial interior with exposed bricks and pipes. Very well designed. The seating area was clean. We had the whole area in a corner to ourselves and privacy. The ambience and food appeared too fancy and expensive to my husband. Yet we spent the same amount of money or more in other restaurants in this area. To me it was a more elevated and exceptional restaurant than the others in food quality and service. The kitchen of the restaurant and the food preparation from the staff were visible for everyone to see that the food was properly cooked. I prefer restaurants to be that way. The hostess (long hair attractive brunette lady ) and Daniel immediately served us, addressed any allergy or food issues we might have, and were very professional & courteous. They both made excellent recommendations for our lunch. Water in a glass carafe and glasses were presented to us on the table, and it was very refreshing. Daniel walked us through the menu meticulously and how the food was prepared fresh. His attention & answers to our questions and the food on the menu were well thought and addressed. I could tell he was knowledgeable and familiar with the menu.He even refilled my drink without having to be asked for a refill. It is rare to get such service from a server. There were many new and exciting appetizers and entrees we wanted to try. The sandwiches were both our preferences that day with a salad and parmesan truffle fries. We upgraded to Parmesan truffle fries, and I exchanged my French fries for a salad with a mustard vinaigrette. It cost 75 cents to upgrade the French fries and $3 extra for a big salad as a side. The bread appetizer came with the three different elements - butter & dipping sauces- herbed butter, pesto sauce, and a tapenade. It was delicious. Our lunch entrees came out with little wait time. Daniel made sure we had extra condiments and that our food met our satisfaction. We were accidentally served regular fries instead of the parmesan truffle fries. It was efficiently resolved in a timely manner. We loved our meals and made plans to come back in the future and bring family & friends there. Everything we couldn't eat was placed in containers and placed in a nice takeout bag. Daniel, also, informed us of the Burton's free app and walked me through in getting points & perks for our meals on the app. You get $25 for every $300 you spend in Burton's. He made sure to get us our points that day on the app. Overall, the finest dining experience we had so far in a restaurant and a place to have future dining experiences. The Lobster roll would've been very good except they added dill to the recipe. In my opinion dill seasoning should be nowhere near a lobster roll. Service was a bit slow as well. I have mixed feelings about this place: probably a 3.5. It's a really nice restaurant at least the ambience. But the menu is kind of lacking. It's kind of a small menu and there's really no theme. Just random American fare. I honestly couldn't decide so I ended up getting an appetizer and a side which I think were both overpriced. The fries were pretty good, but I was a little underwhelmed by the buffalo chicken dip. It was baked at too high temperature because the oil separated. I chose Burton's Grill to celebrate my graduation from nursing school with a Bachelor's degree. This celebration was especially meaningful as my mom passed away during my journey. Having been to Burton's several times before, I knew it would be the perfect spot for a large group. As always, the staff were welcoming, and the food was absolutely amazing. This was my first time coming for brunch and I am so glad I did. I will definitely be back. My family and friends loved their dishes. I had the Crab Cake Benedict, which was fantastic.
