Overall, this place was good, I'd probably err more on 3.5 stars, my husband and I have been to the Leesburg location quite sometime ago and had really enjoyed it. For whatever reason this please was just ok, the food was good but it wasn't anything to write home about at it seemed like the busier things got it took effort to get our server's attention. I don't know if it was because it was a busy Saturday night, maybe I was having an off day. Or perhaps I should try something different next time. I'd certainly give this place another chance. Food has always been good. Tonight was a different type of night at Blue Ridge. Server accidentally, somehow broke a wine drink at the table . Two of us were soaked . We moved tables and manager came over. Asked us about incident and then left. Asked for a new drink. Didn't know if glass got into drink. We thought there may be some compensation due to the accident at the table. We received the full bill. I did speak with the manager who stated that we did get new drinks! Of course we paid for them. Came into Blue Ridge Grill with a large group for a work family birthday lunch and was actually thoroughly impressed. I'll be honest and say I didn't expect much here. I had been to the other location in Brambleton many years ago and remember not being disappointed, but also not at all wowed. I knew their food would be good and mostly safe for our large group of 17. The only minor hiccup we experienced was not being initially told when making the reservation that their tables basically don't move and we couldn't just put 4 or 5 of them together and have everyone sit together. But our server and I believe the Manager came out and basically gave us free range to find the best space in the surprisingly large restaurant for us which in this case was the bar area. Their lunch menu is extensive, ps. A ton of apps, salads, sandwiches and burger, chicken, seafood and steaks ($20 for a 14oz ribeye...are we still in Ashburn??). I went for a Mushroom Swiss Burger which was cooked to my exact medium-well specification. A BIG burger too with lots of crispy,seasoned fries. Some other friends ordered the Simple Grilled Salmon, King Street Creole Pasta, Turkey Burger, and the Ribeye just to name a few. Zero complaints heard from our large group and we all left with happy, full bellies. Exceptional service and really good food. This was a wonderful brunch spot. We came around 130 on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. Good service and delicious food. They had a surf and turf eggs Benedict special which was so good. The steak was soft and crab cake perfect on top of a biscuit. They have the best home fries which was not your average but full of flavor and crisped to perfection. Although we were stuffed, the cheesecake was the best way to end this meal. Everything was so good and we will definitely be back soon. read more

Orders takeout (no other option!). I opted for a filet mignon, loaded baked potato, french fries, a caesar salad and a porce of carrot cake. Really good food. Filet was cooked perfectly and was very tender. French fries were very good. The loaded baked potato could have used a little more butter, still really good. I visited the restaurant as a first time customer after a long work day. I was seated at in the bar area at 6:15pm on Wednesday, February 13th. The waitress stopped by, took my order for a cup of coffee, dropped it off and never RETURNED ! I waited for 25 minutes and still no one helped me. I was shocked at how I was treated .... HORRIBLE service. I left 3$ for the coffee and before departing I informed the front desk hostess what happened. I will never return here again. I surely hope my race didn't contribute to how I was treated. read more

I have been a big fan of BRG since the first one opened in Leesburg, then as I saw the former Ruby Tuesday's building transform into a BRG, I knew life was getting better! What you can count on when you go to BRG: 1. Outstanding service 2. Fantastic food 3. A clean, warm, atmosphere This review is long overdue, but here goes: Recently, I have been giving a lot of thought about where to take out of state guests when they come to visit. You would think that would be easy, but really, not much in Ashburn isn't a national chain so it's hard to think of a place your guests haven't been before. For me, it's BRG, because I know everyone will like their food, be served by a pro, and they may get to try something they have not had at another restaurant. I would also pick one of my other favorites, Ford's Fish Shack, but BRG pleases everyone. The steaks are fantastic, the salads are fresh and delicious, the burgers are awesome and other dishes like Northstar chicken and pasta, the creole pasta and the ribs are great. The desserts are terrific too. Funny thing is, I almost never order what is on the regular menu, I normally just say "I'll take the special"- I know I'll love it. As far as service goes, we have had Orlando as our server a number of times and he is fantastic, a true pro who is friendly, efficient, and really passionate about the restaurant. The bar seems to do good business (I have kids, so I don't hang out at the bar much). On one of my visits, I took my sister (doesn't live in VA) and other friends to BRG and they were all very impressed- and they all own or manage other restaurants. Maybe I hit an off night. Order SW chicken soup, which was plated and put in front of me before I even had a place setting. And it was lukewarm. Back it went to be heated. It was okay. Followed this w a lobster roll. It was good, but I wouldn't order it again. Wish I'd ordered a burger. I'm here on business. First time visit. I'd like to say 3.5 stars, but that's not an option. 3 out of 5 is the middle of the bell curve, and that's what my experience was. Average or maybe a little better. Love coming here for happy hour. Big dining room, great food. They handle gluten free really well. A nice hometown restaurant.

We sat at the bar for dinner the other evening (around 6:30pm). There were a crowd (3 or 4) people who clearly worked there and were off duty hanging around in the bussing area at the end of the bar, chatting and loudly clowning around with the staff still working the other side of the bar and some tables. it was beyond annoying. Several times I glared over at them and made eye contact. They just ignored us. They are either obliviously stupid or they just don't care about pissing off customers - maybe both. Making the situation worse was the sauce on the chicken piccata I ordered was like milky white gravy. Gross. We won't be back anytime soon. They need to hire more professional staff. read more

Wow what a total disappointment. Our server was fast and polite - and then completely vanished. It took asking someone else about our food after 20/30 minutes to finally get it. Then had to go find someone to ask again for steak sauce after waiting forever. Salad was excellent but the salmon was so boring I fell asleep over it. Fries good. Ribeye really underwhelming. Dessert was terrible - we threw it out when we got home. I understand staffing issues and we were fine with that, but on top of terrible food I felt I had to give an honest review. I came here because I kept hearing that the crab cakes are "to die for" and everyone knows crab cakes are my absolute favorite thing on the entire planet-not joking. All I can say is the service is phenomenal and fast. The place absolutely spotless. All that being said-my food was blah. I had crab cake (not to die for, not even to black out for) and coleslaw which I renamed onion slaw. The French fries were pretty banging though. I didn't taste the chicken but I heard that was flavored really well! I bumped the review up to 4 stars because their brownie dessert Ahhmaaazzzing! There were some fans that kept it comfortable A kids sports team was there and it concerned us on timing. A manager saw my concern, came over and got our drink order. Drinks were good, food was great and came at a reasonable pace. Chicken piccata was prepared with pride and tasted great While it was served with the correct caper sauce, I loved the marinara on the side for dipping bread. The prime rib sub was excellent not fatty and super tender- the kitchen knows how to slow roast. The service staff was great and the manager was on the floor checking with every table. The Blue Ridge Grill partners have developed the right formula for success that also has fostered the growth of FIREBIRDS, Glory Days, Mon Ami Gabi and Bar Taco. Huge waste! Order d their sea scallop desert wrapped in ham, over risotto. Risotto was under cooked and bland. The sauce around it was awful and didn't complement the dish. The scallops were not seasoned at all. They barely seared them, but only on one side. The other side was under cooked. Couldn't tell until after because they covered them with panko crumbs. We went there ready to try a new place that was kid friendly, but had some delicious adult food. The problem was that this place did not have the best adult food. My husband ordered a steak. It had zero flavor. My grandmother ordered the roast chicken. She really wanted the mashed potatoes that accompanied the chicken. The chicken had a strange flavor, which is really just a matter of opinion. What wasn't a matter of opinion would be the mashed potatoes. They were definitely boxed potatoes or a terrible version of real ones. I ordered the fried chicken fingers. These were amazing. These made the review a three star instead of a one star. Juicy and crispy and clearly hand-breaded. After seeing the menu and trying the food I think the problem is that the menu is too broad. Maybe if they narrowed things down they could do a few things really well instead of a lot of things just so-so. The service was strange. They team serve? I have never heard of this and it threw us off a bit. We were confused by different servers bringing us our check and drinks, etc. Again, if you visit, get the fried chicken fingers. read more

I've been here 5 or 6 times since this location opened up. It's about time I gave them the review they deserve. Their specials are very good, but they're not on the menu. So be sure to ask if your server doesn't mention them. I've had the pork chops, and the pork tenderloin. I would definitely order both again. From the regular menu I've had the mushroom Swiss burger. It was also very good. Twice I've ordered the chipotle wings. They are unique, not buffalo style but just as good imo. I can't recall which sides I've had with my entree's, but they were always good too. The alcohol selection really impressed me. They have multiple beer options, including Ballast Point Sculpin, one of the best and most popular IPA's on the market. Along with a pretty good selection of bourbon and rye's. My wife and I came for Sunday breakfast once. It was just as good as our dinner visits. I ordered a burrito (steak and eggs I believe), she got a veggie omelet. As far as menu selections, price, and overall atmosphere, I would probably put this place in the same category as Outback, Longhorns, and Red Lobster. But it's superior to all of them and well deserving of five stars. read more

Getting service is terrible at this location, the servers are spending more time talking to each other than their clients. It was not busy at all but only after getting up and walking up to the servers we got our orders taken. We asked to serve everything together but after about 30 minutes waiting we only got two salads and a soup, while the rest of our group was waiting for another 30 minutes watching the servers standing around in the corner chatting. Everything is slow, we even had to wait for another 10 minutes after we asked for the bill. The food was mediocre, overpriced TGI Fridays/Ruby's kind of style but some of it under-cooked, we had to send the raw chicken and rock-like Brussels sprouts back. Awesome restaurant with a great menu. I've never been here for dinner but if they do dinner like they do lunch, it's worth checking out. The food all has great taste and the menu is fairly diverse with offerings. I've really enjoyed their signature salad and I've made a meal out of it a couple times. Other times I've kept it simple and gone with the chicken fingers. For the most part though, if you go you have to get the lobster bisque. It's a favorite of a lot of people but it's great and just perfect when paired with a salad. read more

Ordered an Ahi Tuna Salad for a late lunch after a nice hike with a friend. The medium rare tuna was perfect and the vinaigrette dressing was awesome! Service was great and attentive! We have been going here for years. Never a bad meal. I have been to the Ashburn location three times in the last week. They're really great with fish, and if you like burgers and fries this the place to be. What I like best is the service: it is Unobtrusive and extremely efficient. You are not smothered, and anytime you need something someone is there. Anyone going by whisks away empty dishes. If this was the restaurant in Washington DC the price would be three times what it is here. A really great bargain for a meal out. Their salads are the best in the area. A friend and I had a late lunch here during happy hour. We were the only ones in the bar area when we arrived around 315 but when we left around 430, it was packed. I had a turkey burger, fries and a ginger ale as I am not a big drinker. The burger was good and featured a thousand island like sauce. I'd asked for no onions or tomato but there was onions...red onions at that. I just took them off and the waiter took them away and brought the pickles I asked for. Very friendly, wasn't a big deal, I'm not allergic, just don't like onions on a burger. My ginger ale was great as it came in a small bottle that you open and pour in the glass. I had two and I think the refill was free, which was surprising but good considering it was a new bottle and not from a tap. The bathroom was clean, the waitress (bartender) was nice and attentive but I never caught her name. She favored Carol Brady with a short pixie like cut. Happy hour prices were good and the menu selection was nice. My bill was barely $20. read more
