The Original Steves Diner is Awesome ! Like any diner the menu is huge but what is different about Steves Menu is that the quality of choices and the food itself is exceptional. Whether ordering breakfast or lunch you wont be disappointed. The service is QUICK, friendly and knowledagble pf the menu options. I also like the restaurant itself becasue it has the old fashioned feel but contempory looking at the same time. Also this restaurant is very clean unlike some diners.

This place is super busy, but worth the wait. They have tables and booths, as well as bar seating. The service was excellent. They have coffee specials, and our server brought me a cup from a fresh pot of "Sticky Bun" flavored coffee. It was great! The love cakes (their version of pancakes) are HUGE! I got mine as gluten-free with pecans and bananas - simply divine!! The chicken sausage frittata was good. They give up so much food, you have to leave with a doggy bag. They have NY maple syrup for an additional fee - it's worth it.

Food was heaven! We all got something different and shared, it was one of the most healthy and delicious diners I have ever eaten in. It's an institution in Greater Rochester, NY. My family comes here at least twice a month and they still haven't worked through have the menu. Get there before 9:30am or you will be waiting a while. Stick around it is worth it.

My first time back to the restaurant in a while and I ordered the banana rum love cakes and a piece of metal was in my food buyer beware

Continues to be a great breakfast spot! It was a 20 minute wait at 11am on a Saturday and there is limited waiting space incident, so they will gladly phone you while you wait in your car. We had breakfast, lunch, and salads at our table and all was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.

This is a really cute diner but takes a long time so he prepared! I had a veggie omelette but next time I'm going to try the French toast as it looked amazing when I walked by it. My kid had a gf pancake and it was good. My omelette wasn't remarkable or memorable but it was clearly made to order. Coffee was good and our waitress was friendly!

Cheesecake love cakes-I think this is their specialty

Oh boy I need to go back! My dad got the apple spice pancakes this time (next time he's planning on getting the pumpkin spice pancakes because he's a basic bitch I guess! Ha ha) I got the cheesecake love cakes as recommended by our server. She didn't steer me wrong. It was so good. Next time I'm getting the blackberry pound cake French toast because that came highly recommended as well. We sat outside it was so nice. Good coffee, great service, pancakes as big as your head...well bigger actually unless you have a plate sized head! It's a small place tucked into the front corner of the plaza near a bank. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the food in that plaza... We went again today. My dad didn't get his pancakes but I got home fries and the blackberry pound cake French toast. I would have liked it more dipped in batter. It was a little dry, I should have asked for syrup but it was still delicious!!

So happy Steve's has made it to Chili! Their food is just delicious and they have a whole page of eggs Benedict's and a whole page of different love cakes (their pancakes). The fact that they call their pancakes love cakes should clue you in on their awesomeness :D I would say the chili location is living up to the Steve's diner name. Service was great, food was great, atmosphere was pleasing. Just note, since Steve's is epic it is almost always super crowded. There is often a line and the tables are all packed. Not a sleepy diner by any means. I do wish they would extend their hours until 3pm. They are only open from 7-2 M-Sun. Steve if you're reading this please extend your hours until 3. You have great lunch foods! Not all of us start our day at 5am.

Turkey club with fries (at an additional cost). Very good!

My fiancé and I came here for a little lunch anniversary celebration. We wanted to do something low key and heard the food here was good. We were able to be seated right away outside on a Tuesday afternoon but the inside was fairly packed. Our server came out, took our drink order and tried to quickly run off. We were really hungry so I stopped her and said we were also ready to order. She stated that she'd take our order after she brought out our drinks (it was just 2 Pepsis). Seemed a little rude but ok. Our turkey clubs took another 20 mins to come out, so a little bit slower for a diner but they were very good! The sandwiches don't come with fries (only chips, mac salad or veggie sticks) those are an additional cost. Also, I thought it was odd they used shredded cheddar cheese instead of slices? For two turkey clubs with fries and Pepsis it was $40. A little steep for diner food in my opinion but everything was very good. I would come back to try the breakfasts foods.

I was very much looking forward to going to Steve's in Chile I arrived at 1:50pm. The waitress told me the stop serving at 1:50pm. She then said let me check with the chefs. She went to the window and could not find anyone. Very disappointing. I was looking forward to a nice breakfast with eggs and home fries. I might try the Chile location again or just stick to the two on the Eastside which I have been going to for years. Did not find the help helpful at this location at all. Especially, for a new Restaurant in Chile.

Came to Rochester for a graduation party & decided to go to breakfast with my family here…read more The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the banana foster French toast, catfish & grits, and pancakes. All fantastic! For my baby I also ordered a side of strawberries and grits. The portions are huge! There are two entrances so it could be a little misdirection, but it's not hard to find out where you need to order as it is an open concept kitchen. If it's busy enough, when I went the line was down to the entrance, you'll have plenty of time to look at the menu, then get to the register so you can order. There's a decent amount of seating, but if you plan on eating breakfast inside, get there around 8 AM to 9:30 AM or expect to be in a long line, moves fast though! The workers on the inside are pretty cool. I didn't get a whole lot of face time with them as it's not set up like a server to table situation but you do get the customer service experience enough to know that they are pretty good at what they do. Can't end this review without mentioning that the banana foster French toast was my absolute favorite. I finished that whole plate within five minutes and I do not eat fast. Check this spot out, it's worth it!

I kept going up to them they kept saying it's not ready yet... A family came in after me and ended up getting their food first. But all of a sudden when I went up for the last time about to get a refund my food appeared on the table. They had my pickup order on some grey gate table thing. If they lost track of it that's all they had to say. The only person who apologized was a young man, whose name I wish I had. Since they close at 4pm and the food came at 3:30 I just felt rushed I didn't have a great experience at all.

The majority of the menu is Turkish, and they are using authentic ingredients either imported from Turkey, or from the region. Our food was yummy and very reminiscent of the breakfasts we enjoyed when we were traveling. First, this place is in a strip mall and may not be easy to spot; second it's small, and despite their efforts to jazz up the interior with themed seating areas, it has a very take-out sort of vibe; and third, there are other things on the menu that I'm guessing they offer because of their proximity to RIT, but take my word for it - stick with the Turkish items and you will not be disappointed! Our order included the 'sucuklu yumurta', which is basically eggs with Turkish sausages served in it's own metal pan, plus the bagel plate, and I had the 'tray' (the name of which I cannot remember) which came with hard boiled eggs, fruit, cheese, tea, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers and a roll. It was almost exactly the breakfast we had every morning in Turkey, except the fruit we had there was fresh and here it was a kind of preserve. The portions may seem a little small, but prices are very good, and I would definitely recommend getting more things than you think you need just so you can try more and ensure you will leave satisfied. We are looking forward to going back and eating more of the menu!

I am not sure what happened, but the menu we were given didn't have any of these cool, unique things on it. The place is pretty cool inside, with a lot of board games. There are video games too, but the Nintendo switch didn't seem to work. We ordered a cereal milkshake thing to start. It was okay. The blended cereal inside of it gave it an odd texture. My daughter asked for a Cinnabun, which is a Cinnamon Roll Waffle w/ Icing & Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It didn't have any Cinnamon Toast Crunch in or on it. I ordered a 2 Piece, which is a Cheese Stuffed Waffle Topped w/ 2 Pieces of Bacon & 2 Eggs. There was no cheese in it. I asked for poached eggs but they said they didn't know how to make them. I asked for over easy instead, but I don't think they knew how to make those either, because the yolks were hard and not runny. This place is a great and fun idea, but the food was executed poorly, and inaccurately. Even worse when it was 2 meals and a drink for one adult and one tiny child and it racked up to $40.

Call ahead or hop on OpenTable, because walking in without a plan means you'll probably be waiting... and trust me, this place is worth the hype. From the moment we sat down, everything felt spot on. Our server, Ashley B, absolutely crushed it--attentive, friendly, and somehow always there exactly when we needed something without ever hovering. That kind of service really sets the tone. Food and drinks? Incredible. My husband went for the chicken and waffles paired with a whiskey sour--perfect balance of savory and sweet with a cocktail that hit just right. I had the Maggie with a classic mimosa, and it was brunch perfection. The vibe is another standout--quaint, cozy, and a little elevated since it's tucked inside the museum. It feels like a hidden gem but with a lively energy. And if you've got any room left (big if), they carry Cheesy Eddie's desserts... which is basically your sign to loosen that belt a notch and go for it. Already planning our next visit.

Once they posted it, it was a little less impressive, but at that point, we were committed. I will say that it wasn't the most efficient dining experiences. They didn't have online reservations, so I did have to call in. When we arrived, about 15 minutes early, they weren't ready to check guests in, so we sat down to wait. The manager came around to ask how many were in your party, and tell you which line to use to check in - they had 2 seating areas and 2 check ins based on party size, I guess. Then we had to check in and pay, but this didn't include drinks, so we still had to pay again before we left. The buffet itself was fine, there was a barbeque station that smelled pretty good, and a breakfast station that was OK. Vegetarian options were very limited. I had homefries and some scrambled eggs, neither of which was hot when I got them. There were sugar waffles, which were really good, and some fruit, several breakfast meats (I don't eat beef or pork), and some garlic parm chicken that looked good, but was incredibly overcooked, so neither of us ate it. Barbeque was only beef or pork, so I had salad and some of the mac and cheese, which was pretty good. There were some mini desserts - OK mini cannoli's, a pretty good chocolate cake, and some carrot cake that my guy ate while I was away, so I assume was good! I believe the desserts got picked over pretty fast and were not all replaced. Condiments were in plastic squeeze bottles at the end of the buffet line, and coffee extras were all disposable as well. So, it was fine, and the guy was full and happy at the end, but I was not super impressed and ate mostly salad comprised of lettuce, cucumber, and croutons.
