This review is a long time coming (I did take notes but didn't publish). It is from the summer when I visited Blue Spruce Centennial and had a mixed experience. The 3 spiced imperial was enjoyable and a good beer choice, but the patio in an office park didn't offer much in terms of atmosphere. As for the food, the chicken sandwich was just okay and didn't stand out in any way. The restaurant was also quite crowded, making it difficult to enjoy a relaxing meal. Stopped in for a few beers with our dog after a hike. They have a good selection of dark beer, and I was looking forward to a flight after looking at the menu online. Unfortunately, they were out of the vanilla porter, which my wife and I both wanted to try. We shared a flight with the Bolloxogy Irish Red, Spike Buck Amber, Oi! Irish Stout, and Kwana Porter. They were all pretty good, with the Spike my least favorite. I ended up with a pint of the Walks Like a Duck Brown Ale, which I had on a previous visit. Definitely my favorite of the bunch. My wife went with the Spike Amber, but had we had another, she would've gone with the brown ale as well. We shared a pretzel with our dog, who always looks forward to coming here. Even though we didn't order the cheese dip, we got it, and judging by the final tab, I'm guessing we were charged for it too. I wish I had something good to say about this place since we were told by friends that it was decent. The overall energy was chaotic, unorganized, and unprofessional. There's a huge sign that says order here but no menus. So we approached the bar where it says to order Then we were expected to scan the QR codes on the table and order from the waiter. There were screaming kids running all over the place. It was the only thing we could hear the whole time since the place wasn't packed. And the food was concerning. I don't even think the "salsa" was salsa. We got Blue Spruce beer and wasn't impressed since the Blonde ale tasted like Red Amber. read more

First and foremost for a brewery, delicious beer. Inside is spacious with a sort of industrial feel. An open brewery, with portions of their brewing operations exposed. Plenty of seats, some arcade games, TVs, pinball machines, and other bits of entertainment throughout the space. Excellent place to hang out. Servers were very nice and hard-working. The food was pretty decent too. The helles was absolutely delicious and high quality. The apricot blonde was also made very well with a solid apricot flavor without any artificial taste. For food, pork sliders were incredibly fatty/buttery/oily, but tasted nice. I did wish that I could taste more of the marinade or seasoning on the pork itself. I really liked the pretzel, which had perfect texture inside and out, and a good flavor with the right amount of salt. The mustard and cheese that came along with it was very good. So good that I finished those condiments. I'll definitely be back to try more of their beers and food selection. read more

We were looking for live music while in the area so decided to try this place out when we saw they were having a band. We took seats at the end of the bar where we would have a good view of the music. They had a separate happy hour menu that featured the cream ale and the Mexican lager on special. I ordered the cream ale and husband the lager. Both were very good. The bartender was sweet and attentive, the band was phenomenal. We didn't order food but there seems to be a permanent food truck on the premises. In addition you could order these massive soft pretzels directly from the bar. I'm gluten free so it was pure torture to watch the bartenders warm them up, slather them with butter and salt and add a side of cheese sauce right in front of us. They looked and smelled amazing. We ordered a couple more of the lagers. When our bill came we were charged full price for all the lagers which seems weird because they were listed right there on the happy hour menu. Anyway, the bartender quickly fixed it. Overall we had a very fun evening. read more

I've been here a few time already at the recommendation of a friend who usually visits the County Line location. Don't be discouraged by the fact that this place doesn't have a full on kitchen because their food selection will still amaze you. Appetizers, flat breads, salads, sandwiches oh and not to forget the beer, wine and cocktails if beer ain't your thing While I'm not the best at beers and beer knowledge, I do have my favorites here starting with the Pecan beer.. all 8% ABV of deliciousness. There's games to be played, beer to be had and good to be enjoyed at your leisure. Oh and if you're in the market for brunch, they recently began serving Saturday and Sunday brunch which while I haven't tasted, the menu looked pretty good. Come by and enjoy read more

Had the worst experience there last night. Blue Spruce is suddenly a self serve facility and drinks and food are separate. Even with self serve, both the bar and kitchen service was slow and the employees at both had TERRIBLE attitudes. Nachos were served cold but I couldn't send back because the kitchen closed early . Been going here for years. Beer is good, nice selection. Recently changed food choice to basically pub pretzel and Pizza. However, last trip charges came to nearly $80 dollars with tip which would be OK for what we had, but they charged us again 2 days later, changing the second amount by $.01. We disputed the charges but suspect this was an intentional charge as it was modified. We won't be going back as trust is now a big factor for us. Really a shame as we do enjoy hanging out there. read more

Blue Spruce is relatively close to where we live which is great. We had not been in awhile and we visited on a Friday afternoon. Loved that we more or less had the place to ourselves. Great list of Blue Spruce beers on tap but also guest taps. Looks like the food menu has been spruced up (pun intended) and we will definitely be back to try some eats! read more

I came here on a Saturday post hike to enjoy a beer and have some food. We sat outside on the patio which was really nice! For food and drinks we took advantage of the Happy Hour deal. As far as the food I really wasn't super impressed. We got the nachos and the sliders. The sliders on the Happy Hour menu don't come with the aoli or pickles, which wasn't mentioned. However when I asked the waitress she was nice enough to bring us some pickles and aoli. The nachos were alright. Definitely have had better nachos but overall a beer and appetizer for $10 is definitely a good deal. I think overall it's a nice place to sit outside and get a beer, but unfortunately really wasn't super impressed with the food. read more

Their beer was fantastic. I had the amber and it was one of the best I ever had, unfortunately the food was terrible. The first time there I had the cubano sliders and only finished half cause they were mediocre at best. Tonight my girl and I tried it out and started with the wings, with the jalapeno coating and lime ones and you could taste the nice crunchy flavorful coatings followed by a strange texture to the meat and the flavor of a discussting hotdog. The servers are super friendly and check in regularly, but most times they'd ask if we're OK and then walk away before we answer or before could place orders for more drinks. Can't comment on the food since we didn't eat, though I wouldn't personally have high expectations at a brewery - you go there for the beer. Location is odd, in an office park way off the main drag. There's no way you'd happen upon this place in passing; maybe some better signage on the main roads would help. Trivia on Tuesday nights is really fun, though the clientele was interesting. It's not uncommon to enter the brewery and not be served for 15-20 minutes. More often than not, you have to flag down a server for a beer or to pay the check. I visited here on my first trip to the Denver area to visit family who live in Littleton. When I informed the waitress that I was breaking away from family for a few hours to get some beer drinking in, and that she could give me half pours for each beer in my flight but charge me for the full flight, she charged me half. Very nice! All of the beers I sample were very good to excellent. I love the variety and they had all of my favorites. The ambiance was nice, it was not too crowded as I think this new-ish location has yet to catch on with the locals.
