I am so glad I got the opportunity to come here. Although my friend and I only got to stay for a few hours, we made the most out of our time. First, we got a couple of soju slushies and ordered the fried dumplings. I have never liked dumplings, but these were THE BOMB! They came with a sweet chili sauce that really made it taste great. Then, we enjoyed the Himalayan salt room. Some people were talking too much which was annoying, but I understand it's a spa and people come with their friends and family to unwind. We enjoyed a few more sauna rooms before heading downstairs. Downstairs, there were two pools and 3-4 hot tubs. We ordered delicious mojitos at the pool bar and enjoyed the rest of our time. I cannot wait to come back. A day pass was only $40 to enjoy all the amenities. Although the drinks and food were extra, I was so glad to be able to order food and drinks at a spa. read more

I've been coming to Spa Palace regularly with my sister and a friend because we enjoy relaxing in the "Females Only" jacuzzi. Unfortunately, our visit today was so disappointing that we decided to leave almost immediately. After showering, we went to the women's jacuzzi and realized it wasn't working. We let a staff member know, and all she said was that the button was broken, it was no longer in service, and that we should go to the front desk. There was no apology or effort to offer a solution. When we spoke with Levante at the front desk, he was understanding and professional, just as he always is. He greeted us kindly, listened to our concern, and let us know that since we had just arrived, we could receive a refund. We appreciated his customer service. While we went back to get changed so that we could leave, our experience took a turn for the worse. When we got back to the front, Jason, the janitor, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of trying to help or speak respectfully, he said, "You've only been here 9 times, and there's nothing we can do for you." His comment was unnecessary, dismissive, and completely inappropriate. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with courtesy, not spoken to in that manner. The issue wasn't just that the jacuzzi was out of service-things break. The bigger problem was the lack of communication and the way we were treated afterward. If a major amenity is unavailable, customers should be informed before paying. And no employee, regardless of their position, should speak to guests disrespectfully. Thank you to Levante for being professional and helpful, but because of the poor handling of the situation and Jason's rude behavior, this visit left a very negative impression. I hope management addresses both the communication around out-of-service amenities and the way customers are treated. REPLY TO THEIR RESPONSE : First, of all 10 to 15 minutes after arriving, we approached the front desk to report the issue. A staff member named Levante explicitly informed us that we could receive a refund. Based entirely on that assurance, we immediately went to shower so we could leave. Our primary reason for visiting your facility is to use the women's jacuzzi; had we been told a refund was not possible, we would not have rushed to shower and exit.When we returned to the front desk, we waited several minutes for Jason. Rather than listening to our explanation, Jason approached us with a very poor, rude attitude. We spent another 20 minutes trying to resolve the matter with him.To be clear, I never initially demanded a full refund. I only expected one because your own staff member offered it to us. Given the misinformation and the poor service we experienced, I am simply asking for a $10 discount credit toward a future visit. I strongly encourage management to properly train staff on company policies and take accountability for the conflicting information provided by your team. It's frustrating to see so many companies automatically defend their employees instead of taking the time to genuinely investigate customer complaints. Too often, it feels like the focus is on avoiding negative reviews rather than determining what actually happened. The reality is that businesses and employees make mistakes. When multiple customers share similar negative experiences, it's difficult to believe that every one of them is inaccurate. Nice clean Korean spa right on the edge of downtown LA. Area around is little concerning with lots of homeless around but there is a security guard patrolling the parking area which is probably fine. Spa is large with both men's and women's sides. Men's have three hot pools, cold pool and dry and. Steam saunas plus shower and rest area. Common area is large with salt, mineral etc rooms. Good size cafe. You need to provide ID to enter and they no longer provide shorts and tees only a Robe which you can wear into the coed areas. It was 11:10, we didn't realize, a woman asked us to leave we got up immediately and start gathering our stuff. We hear a man's voice and look up and see a MALE WORKER walking towards us and we asked him to turn around or leave and he KEPT APPROACHING. We RAN out and got dressed and immediately told the front desk man who said it was our fault for not remembering that they clean the showers. He said this defends the fact that the man walked into the showers? And that he kept approaching?! Makes it harder to have peace of mind. Second, when we checked in they were out of clothes so they gave us robes. We liked the idea that the pool/jacuzzi area was co-ed so we could hang with our entire friend group but it was very loud because another group was blasting music on a speaker. There was a bar there and we were under the impression the beer would be on tap because of social media but they just poured it from a can and charged a premium for it. I love visiting Spa Palace and always try to come here whenever I'm in LA. It really is a hidden gem, and I hope the management continues to take good care of it. I know some people concerns about the neighborhood but they have a safe parking inside of the building. And no need to pay for parking. Recently, though, I've noticed that fewer people seem to stay in the common areas at night. One of the employees has started sleeping there overnight. I personally don't mind an employee resting there, but he snores quite loudly and also sets an alarm for 7 a.m. that continues ringing without being turned off. This can be very disruptive to guests who are trying to relax or sleep. I'm not sure if this is the reason fewer people are staying at night, but I do think it's something management should address. I really love this place and would hate to see the overnight experience decline because of an issue that could probably be resolved fairly easily. I recently went back to Spa Palace for an overnight stay. The price is now $50 for overnight which allows you to stay and use the spa facilities from 8pm - 11am. I am a bit conflicted. I've always enjoyed the spa and have a great time socializing with other patrons here. The workers do a great job keeping up with the spa facilities, keeping the wet area constantly clean and tidy but pests are out of their scope. While I appreciate having the option to stay overnight, I ended up waking up with bed bug bites which makes the thought of sleeping there again a bit uncomfortable. Those pests are difficult to eradicate, and for a spa that's so expansive in size and also open 24 hours, I can imagine it's not easy. I sure hope management takes the time to do so. read more

Spa Palace is Korean spa that has coed pool and jacuzzi, along with your standard saunas. Now I didn't really get to try any of their food as it didn't strike my appetite but this review is more so about their facilities. Parking is $5 Valet when you enter, I decided to park my car there as it's a sketchy neighborhood in LA so it was worth making sure my car was safe. For entry you will pay $35 for adults and $45 for overnight. You get to enjoy all the facilities and the pool closes at 10pm. Everything else is operational 24/7. It's dingy but that didn't bother me as it is LA and nothing can stay pristine for long. But either way I believe it can be a good time and you can be relaxed. A few tips for this place. Bring your own flip flops as they won't provide it. They will only give you a small towel and a large one with a robe that you can wear in the general area. Also a bathing suit for the pool and the coed jacuzzi. The parts that can be worked on are the temperatures in the saunas which feel like it could be warmer in some but they don't have the temperature listed. As far as the pool area they have some annoying music and disco lights which makes no sense as it's far from relaxing when you have to deal with that. The clientele here can be very loud and make it hard to relax as lots of people are unaware of their rowdiness and that's another thing that I wish they had the patrons working there to either enforce or maybe have signs or have the front desk tell everyone that this is an establishment to relax in and to be more accommodating with it. Lastly and this is a tricky one because it happens unfortunately in most saunas like this, but there are lots of sexual activity happening in the men's locker room specifically in the saunas, and the hot tubs. I read a lot of comments here stating that and I know it's hard to enforce as I've seen it in other saunas but it makes it a little hard to enjoy privacy as it's not for everyone. There are spotters that notify when the staff is coming by and I witnessed that. It's not my business but I did let the front desk know about it and they are aware but it's always going to be hard to catch in the act. I actually really like this spa. It was a surprise to me but definitely a visit at least once type place. I went with a friend and she and I love going to Korean spas all over LA but this time we wanted to try one that was coed so we found spa Palace on social and decided to go. We had a great time and really enjoyed going into all of the different rooms. They truly had such a unique property everything from a pool to a bar lounge to a food court to a vending machine area, which I highly suggest visiting before going to the food court. I also really liked all of the areas where you could just lie down and take a nap. They had massive couches that you could feel like a princess in, but they also had traditional floor pads like you see in the Kdramas. Really love the authenticity of this place. I did not really love the food that they served. I tried a curry plate and then my friend tried their ramen, again didn't blow our mind and I probably wouldn't eat there ever again, but later we found the vending machines and we were so disappointed that we didn't eat their first. They had cup of noodles, snacks, sodas and just so many more options --so don't just get stuff at the food court definitely go to the vending machine and get some nice bites as well there. I did really like that they had a massage room. The only downside is that it only takes cash so I didn't have any and couldn't try it out but wish I did. So if you want to try the chairs, make sure you bring cash. I also really didn't like that all of the rooms were a little bit small. They did have a variety but once you would go in one and there was already four people there you would feel crowded and not all of the rooms were like that, but most of them were and it felt like you really couldn't have your private conversation or enjoy a peaceful time without someone next to you, talking or listening in on your conversation so if you're trying to have a bestie day, this probably wouldn't be the best place to do that, but if you're just trying to have a girls trip and you all are just having fun together and don't need any time to really relax this is a great place. I wasn't as happy at the end when I ended up getting a fraud charge on my debit card days after our visit. They do ask you to pay in debit card for entry which I didn't know about until arriving. I'm not sure if it was them to blame for the fraud charges but just know that they only take debit card so a risk you can decide to take. I suggest you use cash or just make sure you have an alternative payment. It was a little busy when we got there. We didn't have to wait in line, but otherwise the amenities were great. I did notice that some of the staff would give some of the guest the full rundown on what to know about the different areas versus by the time we got to the counter the gentleman who was helping us didn't give us any overview and it didn't really tell us anything but good thing that we could hear the other groups orientation so we knew where to go, but I do think that was one thing that they could be a little bit more consistent about in terms of what they tell people to expect and where to go and how to just use the facility. I think it's unique compared to many other ones I visited too so them explaining where I can go what to do next. That's really important at these spas. I really loved all of the body scrubs and all the treatments that they had. I think it's a great deal when you get the head massage you get the facial and you get the scrub. All the ladies there are very authentic Ogema's and they know what they're doing. I've been coming to this spa for over two years, and it has always been one of my favorite places to go. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing and completely different from the experience I've come to expect. There was a group of people being extremely loud, playing music from their phones, and disrupting what is supposed to be a peaceful and relaxing environment. Even more concerning, people were wearing clothes in areas where guests are specifically expected to shower and be nude. They also brought their iPhones into areas where everyone is naked. The lack of consideration for the spa's rules and for other guests made the entire experience uncomfortable. What made this especially frustrating is that I've been a loyal customer for years and have always viewed this establishment as somewhere I could go to relax and decompress. Instead, I spent my visit feeling uncomfortable and frustrated because the environment was not being properly maintained. I understand that a business cannot control every individual guest, but management can enforce rules and maintain the environment they advertise. If guests are allowed to be loud, play music from their phones, and disregard the expectations of designated (nude,quiet) areas without intervention, then it defeats the entire purpose of going to a spa. This is not the first time I've seen people with clothes in designated nude tubs, THAT ARE ONLY SANITARY TO BE NUDE IN IF EVERYONE SHOWERS BEFORE AND IS COMPLETELY NUDE IN THEM, it's nasty. I tried to alert staff, they didn't care, then when I emailed their HR they didn't care either. Be careful! People don't follow the sanitary rules here. When I tried to express my concerns, I was shrugged off by the staff. That's nasty. After being a customer for years, I expected much better. I hope management takes this seriously and does more to enforce the rules and protect the experience of guests who are there to actually relax. To respond to the establishments comment on my initial review above, it does not surprise me that you are as unprofessional to mention I requested a refund, and try to put me onthe spot when I didn't not even mention that in my original review. I am also not surprised at them being upset I called the failure to enforce their basic rules "nasty" and "unsanitary." I think it would be of upmost importance, for the staff to be retrained on how to handle situations when they are presented. If these concerns actually mattered, the staff that were alerted that night would have taken unsanitary and unsafe behaviors seriously and this review would have never been made, and I would have never emailed management for a refund. I emailed management privately and my concerns and reports were made public under my review. Whether I made a request for a refund or not, there are still various amounts of rules being broken at this establishment, and staff in the locker rooms do seldom about it. I consider myself somewhat of a Korean spa enthusiast at this point, so whenever I try a new one I walk in hopeful and ready to relax. Walking into Spa Palace though started with a bit of an adventure before even reaching the door. The parking lot was already packed and the surrounding area definitely had that chaotic MacArthur Park energy. If you know, you know. The place being open 24 hours is actually great in theory because late night spa visits can be amazing, but the location does make the whole arrival feel a little less relaxing than it should. Still, I went in with an open mind because sometimes the inside experience makes you forget everything outside. The front desk moment unfortunately did not help. I asked about the uniform for the common area and was told they do not have one, which confused me because every Korean spa has something. Turns out the "uniform" is basically just a robe. Not the cozy spa robe you are imagining either, more like a robe that feels one sudden movement away from a wardrobe malfunction. I am 5'11 so trying to casually exist in that thing without worrying about something popping out was not exactly the relaxing spa mindset I came for. Once inside the wet area there were some mixed moments. The cold plunge was legitimately cold which I respect because a lot of places claim cold and it ends up being lukewarm disappointment. So points there. The jacuzzi though was another story. It felt slimy, and not in the mineral water spa kind of way. I even mentioned it and another regular told me they had already said something about it weeks ago and were told it was salt water. No honey. That is not how that should feel. The tub itself is also surprisingly small which made it feel crowded and awkward instead of relaxing. When you are trying to squeeze in and rotate your body like you are playing spa Tetris it kind of defeats the purpose. The steam room was another letdown. I stayed in there for around forty minutes hoping it would kick in and give that deep relaxing heat you expect from a Korean spa, but it barely did anything. It felt more like a warm room than an actual steam experience. On top of that there was a heavy chemical smell in parts of the area that made it seem like bleach had been poured not long before, which again takes away from the whole relaxation vibe. The sleeping area also looked like it had seen better days and could definitely use more attention from the cleaning crew. I did notice they had workers walking around and even a security guard, which honestly surprised me because I have been to a lot of Korean spas and rarely see security inside like that. It made me wonder if that is related to the location or just how the place operates. Another thing that personally made me uncomfortable is learning that minors are allowed. I completely understand family friendly businesses, but the whole point of the wet area experience is being nude and relaxing, and being around minors in that setting just does not feel comfortable for me personally. In the end I am giving it two stars because there are some basics there and the cold plunge deserves credit, but overall the atmosphere and maintenance did not match what I expect from a Korean spa experience. If you want a place with stronger amenities and a more polished vibe, my personal favorite is still Century Spa. That place just understands the assignment. I am leaving this review hoping Spa Palace improves because the concept is great and another solid spa option in LA would be amazing. Right now though it just was not it. read more

I had a really good time at spa palace! It's much less crowded than Wii spa or century. The parking garage is $3 cash only but it's under the spa so it's "safe" and nice. In the women's fitting room area there is a smaller separate Himalayan salt room that isn't as crowded as the co-ed one. I also dined here and enjoyed my meal. I only wish the dishes came with banchans, that's my personal Korean preference though lol. One thing I wish people did when they came though, is read a teeny bit about Korean spa etiquette. This was my first time at a Korean Spa and I feel it definitely had its pros and cons. I really think it just depends on the vibe you want (and they have all). I actually enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool room. Wasn't a big fan of the disco lights but the area itself is huge. I liked that I could come and relax and have a glass of wine after the massage. The amenity rooms were nice but I run very hot so I'm not too particular on saunas or anything involving too much heat. Now the massage itself was good. Not great, not amazing, it was good so with that being said, i feel it's a bit over priced. I didn't like that my masseuse wouldn't let me leave without me tipping her (lol) it was almost demanded and I think you should be able to tip as you leave the facility. And I do think they need to upgrade their towels. But it was a fun experience. I'd come back if the price was right. read more

Overall, it was a just "fine" experience. The parking was easy and free. The person at the check in window was pleasant and helpful. The facility was clean and had a nice layout with the various rooms. My disappointment was the Himalayan Salt Room. The ones I had experienced before were room temperature and had chairs to sit and just relax. This particular room was more like a sauna in temperature and did not have any seating. We walked a circle in the room and ended up leaving. That may be a personal preference though for us at least. The cold room was nice, we both enjoyed that. We weren't sure about their "Gold" room. It was warm and had gold paint on the walls, we kind of didn't see a point to it. The other rooms also lacked what we were expecting. The Jacuzzis definitely had a chlorine smell to them. Not the most inviting feature. If you're in the area and are looking for a spa type of experience, I would say it's OK. I wish that staff would better enforce spa etiquette rules pertaining to not wearing outside shoes and not wearing bathing suits in womens-only tubs/sauna. This was my first time visiting Spa Palace. I've been going to other Korean spas for years, so I came in expecting a relaxing, luxury experience but unfortunately, this one fell short. The prices are on the higher side, but the overall experience didn't match. You can tell corners are being cut. At most Korean spas, the little details stand out quality soaps, lotions, and soft towels but here, those basics felt very below average. The lotion was sticky and had an odd smell, and the towels were rough and scratchy. The body scrub was okay, and my masseuse was kind, but the massage itself felt more like something you'd get at a mall nothing special. During my massage, it also felt like they were being stingy with the oils. It was supposed to be aromatherapy, but I could barely smell anything. At other spas, the scents are much more noticeable and part of the experience, so this was disappointing. I also paid for a scalp massage, but it ended up just being shampoo and conditioner rubbed into my hair, which was disappointing. One of the steam rooms had a very unpleasant odor, to the point where it was unusable. It smelt like human feces. It was clear why no one else was in there. Another issue was that the no-phone rule wasn't enforced people were using and even recording on their phones, which invaded our privacy, especially since this is a nude area. That said, there were a few positives. The jacuzzi and pool area had a nice vibe, and I did enjoy the Himalayan salt room and cold room. The food was okay, but portions were small but pricey, especially when it came to meat. Overall, the atmosphere didn't feel as calm or upscale as other Korean spas I've visited. There were moments of tension between guests, and it felt like you had to stay alert rather than fully relax. If you're looking for a true Korean spa experience, I would suggest trying somewhere else. If I came back, it would only be for the jacuzzi, pool, and a few of the specialty rooms. I really enjoyed Spa Palace. The $35 day pass is such a great deal. The hot tubs were amazing, and I especially loved the quiet space.. Very tranquil and relaxing. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! When you enter, first thing you see is a dozen typed "policy documents" in dollar tree frames all throughout the establishment stating what " they won't do" that are not clarified on the website like parking is free mon-fri but not on Saturdays the day pass isn't 7 hours from the time you get there rather from 8am to like 3 so if you come at 2 you can only enjoy the amenities for an hour and then pay again. My friend bought an E-card for me on a Tuesday for my bday that Saturday and the receptionist "Daisy" said they couldn't honor it because you have to have it for at least a week before it's redeemable when I told her it's not stated on the website she began going back and forth with me in a very condescending manner I asked her to pull up the proof that stated that, she could NOT and continued her bad attitude with me I asked for a manager she said she'd notify them and no one came out to explain or help and she then threatened me by having security escort me "threatening" because in today's political and social climate a maneuver like this can be dangerous for an African American individual. Don't go it's a scam the customer service is poor, and to management please don't respond to this comment you had the opportunity to rectify the problem when I was there and chose not to help then! read more

I got a couples massage in the suite for $380. It was a good massage, but the door was kept open the entire time. This was my first time, so I was wondering if they kept it open because it was their policy or something else. (Upon arrival I overheard the front desk get a call and needing to contact security to throw someone out and refunding the caller for her service.) I looked over during my massage and saw the therapist walking on my bf, so I thought maybe she needed the door to stabilize herself. After the massage, I asked why the door was kept open and my therapist said because the room was small and they need to keep it open. I liked that they had all of the different rooms to relax in. We got there an hour prior to our massage so we could hang out. The soil room smelled a little odd, but all of the other rooms were really relaxing. read more

Please don't come here. A spa especially a Korean spa values amenities, cleanliness, quality of business and this place just doesn't care about any of it. The steam room never got above 85 degrees which is a weird feeling because I saw steam but it wasn't getting hotter. The sauna same thing and the coed area you're supposed to be provided shirt and shorts but you just have people walking around with robes that doesn't really help hide things especially when people in the coed area sit with there legs open. The only thing that was somewhat ok is I booked a body scrub and that was good. Otherwise please don't come here for the love of everything holy. Side note they have bugs too read more

I have been paying for overnight stays at Spa Palace since February 28, 2025. On March 19th, I woke up with bug bites on my face and thigh. I noticed that the door to the spa had been propped open. Overnight guests often sleep in the Korean jimjilbang area, which is very close to the outside doors where people smoke and access the garden. Their night-shift employee, Lee, would keep the door wide open, allowing rodents, stray animals, people, and pests to enter. I, along with many other guests, reported this issue repeatedly, asking her to stop, but she did not listen. I was bitten four separate times, and during the last incident, I had to rush to the ER and Urgent Care. On May 21st, I was able to capture a photo of what the Spa Palace employee was doing. She had propped the door open so wide that we were cold, scared, and confused as to why she continued this behavior despite repeated reports. Many guests also reported waking up to bugs on their blankets and clothing. On May 31st, I was bitten again, this time on my face and arm. My face became so swollen that I had to rush to the ER and Urgent Care once more. The doctors immediately identified that I had been bitten by a spider at the spa and prescribed antibiotics, prednisone, and Benadryl. Because of the swelling, I missed work and lost income, as I was unable to model my new collection at an event where I could have made sales. I reported all of this to management several times and even created a sign for them to place on the door reminding people to keep it closed. However, they never put up the sign nor offered any accommodation for the harm I suffered at their facility. To make matters worse, I became sick from the original antibiotics and had to return to the emergency room. At that point, I was prescribed a new medication called Doxycycline. The manager, Kelly, displayed prejudice and a very poor attitude. I do not recommend this spa. They do not care about their clients, especially if you are Black or Hispanic. read more

Multiple things were broken, every room I went in someone was cleaning, a couple walked in with their kid, got bit by something in the rest room, I was overcharged. When speaking to the customer service/cashier, she said I could contact the manager to reverse the charge. But only by email. The place is great. I'm familiar with korean Spas so I know what to expect. It's a great place to check out and hang out with a friend.. My favorite part was going down to the pool using the elevator. It's like a small club with pools and you can buy drinks. You can also wear a bathing suit in that area It was a relaxing experience.. my skin always looks better when I walk out. For $35 entrance free, you are getting a bargain. read more

Visited Spa Palace for the first time and had a mostly good experience. Parking was easy, with a garage on the ground level and additional spots in front. The amenities were nice overall, but a few areas need attention. The men's sauna had several loose floor boards that moved when stepped on, and while the steam room was enjoyable, there was exposed wiring near the ceiling that felt unsafe. On the plus side, the hot tubs and cold plunge were solid, and the resting/sleeping areas were comfortable. Towels were provided generously when asked, and the showers were clean and functional. I had read reviews mentioning unfriendly front desk staff, but I didn't find them rude--just not especially warm. Overall, it's a good K-spa and worth visiting, but some maintenance updates would really improve the experience. read more

Do not recommend! I love getting massages and have tried different places this one was just not it. The young lady to greet was so rude and unprofessional. It was obvious she didn't want to be there. When walking in she was on her phone and the massage was so painful it made me feel worse than when I went it. The kitchen area smelled really bad and the food did not look appealing. When getting my massage the masseuse left the room and when she came back she left the door wide open and it felt so invasive. When I noticed she tried to lie and said she just opened it when she was massaging me the entire time after she stepped out. read more
