What a great find! Nice selection of sandwiches, open kitchen concept and ingredients were VERY fresh. I had the Mahi-Mahi sandwich which was baked (awesome!) instead of grilled or fried. The staff was extremely helpful & patient as we tried to figure out our order. The setting feels really open & beach like, even indoors. Diverse selection of beers, including several local micro-brews. Oh and a some local art hanging which is available for purchase. Definitely worth checking out! read more

I travel for business so I always try new places when I get the chance. This place should have been packed to the brim after what I enjoyed for dinner. I had the "southern burger" which was a very fresh and thick beef patty topped with thick bacon, lettuce, caramelized onions and pimento cheese. For a side I had the roasted sweet potatoes. It was one of the best burgers I've had in a while and the pimento cheese was their own take on the orange, chunky classic most southerners have come to know and love but it was still outstanding. I personally had the burger because it's what I was craving but this restaurant has way more to offer and at a fair price. I might just get dinner there again tonight. Go before everyone else finds out! read more

Wow! This little restaurant at the end of a strip mall really doesn't look like much from the outside...especially in the dead of winter with no one on the patio but was I ever surprised. Started out with an excellent cheese board with three cheeses, prosciutto and a jalapeño chutney....excellent! The main course was unforgettable, I had the best, most tender brisket I have ever had and I am from Texas. The asparagus and potatoes with it were very good too.....but the brisket......YES the brisket. Go try it when you are nearby (I was staying at the Fairfield across the street) or if you live in Wilmington this might be your new favorite place....... I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place! The wait was not long at all and we went on a Sunday around noon. The people were super nice, and the service was phenomenal. However, their burgers are so tasteful that you don't miss eating fries (this comes from a fry lover). Went here on a friend's recommendation and were not disappointed. Had a hard time deciding between all of the delicious and fresh looking options. Service was fabulous, came with breezy smiles and were really helpful. We ordered the grilled fish tacos and the roasted chicken sandwich. Both were fantastic. The mango salsa was out of this world! Probably the best I've ever had. We were debating getting the mango salad as a side for the sandwich (and extra $2) but it was so worth it! For an appetizer we had the homemade potato chips with the cilantro and Parmesan. Cheese was delicious but had it been a bit melted, it would have made the dish out of this world. For dessert we had the peanut butter hot chocolate. Make sure to get it! It's great but very large, I would recommend you share it. read more

On vacation and looking for one last place for dinner before we headed out of town the next morning. We went here. This is a counter order, table service establishment that uses locally grown fresh ingredients in all of its food. The person who helped us at the register was very friendly and extremely knowledgable about the menu. He was able to help us figure out what each of us wanted by telling us more about the food and making a few recommendations. The food came out promptly and was every bit as good as it was described. It wasn't very crowded but given the quality of the food, I'm not exactly sure why. Perhaps it was the price as this was a bit more expensive than you might expect to pay elsewhere, but we were not complaining. read more

Found this perfect little gem of a place on a recent trip to wilmington. The menu changes intermittently and everything our party of 8 tried was fantastic. We enjoyed dinner so much that we came back for brunch. They also have an interesting little game outside where you try to get a ring on s string into the hook. Our waitress was pretty good. The rest of my party, not so much. Honestly, we had 7 different entrees for dinner and at least 5 for brunch. They were all quite good. read more

Amazing! We came for dinner on Saturday night about 6:30pm. It wasn't busy and we were seated right away. I ordered the summer noodles with mahi and WOW!! Super disappointed! My 6 y/o and I were in Wilmington shopping in a nearby plaza. After reviewing Yelp I decided to try Blue Surf Cafe opposed to a chain restaurant. I ordered the Cilantro Lime Chicken Salad and she ordered the kid's Grilled Cheese .They were both blah. My salad was small, lacking in flavor, and basically had boiled chicken on top of it . My daughter said her grilled cheese was the worst one she's ever had. It was also lacking in flavor. The atmosphere and location are great but I would not return. Maybe our experience would have been different had we ordered different menu items but we will not be finding out. read more

Okay, me and my girls love to use Yelp to find local spots when we go on vacation. Two of us had breakfast sandwiches on croissants, which were good and somewhat filling. The other person had the Blueberry compote waffles which were okay but nothing special. The positive to this place is the outdoor seating. However, the service from the girl at the register was lackluster but the guy who served our food was nice and informative about other places to go in the area. Additionally, the selection for breakfast meats was limited for those who do not eat pork...by limited I mean NONE! This is why I give it 3 stars. read more

Amazing service and atmosphere for a quick breakfast or brunch fix. Haven't tried their dinner menu but I got the smoked salmon bagel was only 5.95 and it tasted fresh from the sea!
