This restaurant was an instant hit. Tucked away in a small area of the resort, but impossible to miss because of the incredible aromas coming from the kitchen. Between my fiancé and me, we tried about nine different menu items, and every dish impressed us. The Hawaiian BBQ chicken was hands down the standout dish, and the snapper filet was absolutely amazing. The banana bread is a must-try. The staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and welcoming throughout the entire experience. Melanie was nothing short of a superstar -- kind, respectful, and incredibly informative about the restaurant and menu. Easily one of the best servers we have ever had. Stopped by on Wednesday mid afternoon after a long morning of swimming and was starving! My sister found this place on Yelp and it was a 20 minute walk from where we were staying. This restaurant is tucked away in such a cute little village -esque area which adds to the charm. There is seating outdoors but BE WARNED. THE BIRDS ARE CRAZY RUTHLESS. While enjoying my meal, I was ducking and dodging so many birds flying around the tables. The storefront is where you order your meal and then a staff member will walk everything over to your table. My family ordered the ahi tuna, loco moco, seafood platter, calamari appetizer, and bbq chicken. Each meal comes with a scoop of rice, green salad and corn. My little sister enjoyed her bbq chicken with a side of salad and it looked really juicy. The loco moco was on the drier side while the seafood platter offered a decent variety of different seafoods which my mom really enjoyed. The calamari appetizer was perfectly breaded and we all loved it! I enjoyed the ahi tuna but I wish there was more flavor to the fish. The fish was nicely cooked and a paired well with the rice and salad. Since we walked to this restaurant, I didn't get a chance to see where parking was but I assume hotel parking is used for this establishment. read more

What's better than eating by the beach? Eating some delicious garlic shrimp next to the beach would be a great answer! Blue water shrimp is right there and is an excellent choice if you're staying in the Hawaiian village. They have a variety of combo plates, but we got what they're known for, and weren't disappointed! There's a space outside the shop for quick eats, or you can simply walk 5 mins towards the beach. BWS is conveniently located inside Hawaiian Village where we are staying. Ordered online, picked up in about 20 min. One order of Opakpaka-- overcooked the delicate pink snapper...had perfectly cooked ones in Merrimans, so dried out not even sure if it's opakapaka fish? $1 for tiny 1/2 filled tartar sauce. Hubs had the Brazilian lobster tail-- he said it's not rubbery or chewy. Better stick with a more forgiving thicker fish filet like mahi-mahi or salmon. The shrimps look ok too. Their pineapple and coconut drinks are on most tables...we'll dine on site next time. read more

Found a true hidden gem. The menu offers a great variety of Hawaiian dishes, and we were in the mood for a burger. Hands down, it was the best burger we've had in Hawaii. I can't wait to try their loco moco and steak garlic shrimp next time. This place is such a vibe. Fresh pineapples everywhere, friendly smiles, and shaded outdoor seating tucked away in the alley behind the Hilton. Service was excellent. We ordered at the counter and assumed it was self-serve, but once we sat down they brought water and silverware, and our food was delivered straight to our table. We'll absolutely be back. After traveling all day, my son and I didn't feel like venturing too far out of our hotel or driving anywhere for dinner. I wanted seafood and saw that Blue Water Shrimp was in the village just steps from our hotel. The restaurant was super busy and all the tables were taken, so we decided to get takeout. We were greeted as soon as we got to the counter and ordered the grilled mahi mahi, $25 from the gluten-free menu for me and the BBQ pork ribs, $24 for my son. We walked around the village while waiting for the food. Our buzzer buzzed in about 15-20 minutes alerting us that our food was ready. We took our food and headed back to our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the portions. They were a good size, especially for the prices. Even though they were to-go, the presentation was still nice. My son enjoyed his pork ribs, they seemed to fall off the bone. My grilled mahi mahi tasted fresh, but lacked flavor. I still are every bit of it, though. I had a similar experience to prior reviews with rude servers. I was waiting for my pickup order and was told I couldnt wait near the pick up counter. No "please" just move. I moved away to stand near the high chairs and the server kept staring at me before asking me to move again and stand in the walk way out of sight even though there were other poeple waiting where I was. Great spot in Waikiki! We were staying at the Hilton and decided to come here for dinner on the first night of our stay. It was super busy but we were able to get a table without waiting. (You need to order first, then their staff will bring you to a table. If there aren't any tables available they have you wait on the side until one becomes available.) Ordering was quick and I would say the food came out relatively quick as well. We were all pleasantly surprised at the portions and quality of the food for the price we paid! I got the Surf and Turf, and everything was delicious! Meat was cooked perfectly and the garlic shrimp was SO good - large pieces too! We actually ended up eating here again on a Friday after the fireworks. I got the Surf and Turf again, but my husband got the BBQ Pork Ribs to-go. Once again, the ribs were a huge portion and were pretty much fall-off-the-bone tender. This is definitely a must try if you're in the area! read more

It's a fast casual establishment, where you order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Very cozy spot with outdoor tables for you to enjoy your food, and the food is fresh and delicious! Their service is also great and flexible--a friend changed his side from salad to fries, and they did it without an issue (also not a listed option as a side either!) However, the shrimp is pretty good. Garlicy and creamy/buttery. Service is really quick, they take your order at the counter and then will find you a seat. Taking one star off as I feel like the menu prices are quite steep... I think our place was close to $30 after tax and tip which is a lot. Their pineapple fruit and smoothies look super tasty but also run $10-15 which is kinda a lot. All good though, great option if you're staying in the village. read more

Blue Water Shrimp was our first stop after a grueling 8 hour flight, and I am happy to say that we 100% choose the right restaurant to bring us back to life. I'd never had Hawaiian food prior to this and authetic or not - this place was DELICIOUS. UGH. So good. It's not fancy or high-end, but the humble ingredients boast of color, aroma, and most importantly: flavor. Just look at the dishes - they are beautiful and taste just as good as they look. In the spirit of being on vacation in Hawaii, of course we had to order pineapple smoothies as well. They literally carve out a pineapple, blend the meat and serve it back in the pinepple. Another nail on the head. Super refreshing, very sweet, all natural. This restarant was also conveniently located on our hotel grounds: the Hilton Hawaii Village. Check, check, check. My friend and I had just arrived in Waikiki, Honolulu, and had been looking for some good food to start out our vacation. We didn't stray far since we were looking to check-in to our room, and thankfully we found this cute spot within the Hilton Hawaiian Village. This place featured pictures of all their dishes, which I always appreciate. Better yet, the service was very fast, fresh and friendly. I went with the BBQ chicken and it was absolutely delicious. the chicken itself was so flavorful and left me wanting more. My friend ordered the Loco Moco, of which he also enjoyed, but had remarked that it needed more sauce on it. Other than that, loved the outdoor space, but who wouldn't when your out on a tropical island. Definitely recommend if you're wanting some quick, local flavor. read more

This little outdoor restaurant is hidden inside the outside shopping area of the Hilton. All tables are outside but they have umbrellas to keep you away from the sun. The service was great. The cashier and waiters were friendly and the food came out quick! We ordered the Mahi mahi, salmon, loco moco, and the sirloin steak with shrimp. All of us loved our food! We grabbed food from here several times during our stay at Hilton Hawaiian Village. Loved our it was literally steps from our tower so the food was still piping hot even after taking it up to our room. All the fish entrees were soo tasty. My fav was the fish and chips. The fish was soo tender and juicy. The Mahi Mahi was was really flavorful and tender. I would stay away from the ribs. That wasn't as tender as we had hoped. They have fresh whole pineapples, cut daily that were insanely sweet and delicious. We ate so many of them during our stay. read more

The tables fill quickly for lunch and dinner, and you can order online through their website to avoid the line at the counter. We have been here several times (due to convenience during an extended stay at the Hilton) and have tried just about everything on the menu. The Mahi Mahi is my favorite! The sauce is rich and buttery with capers, and pairs well as a nice dressing for the mixed greens and corn on the plate. Four stars instead of five due to the hospitality, or lack there of. Service was aloof at best. Food was average. Ambiance was fantastic.......that's if you love Hitchcock films, in particular THE BIRDS. I got up to ask for something since our server hadn't come back for awhile and as soon as I left my seat we had 20 pigeons on the table eating my food, hovering above the table, and basically taking over. We laughed about it later, but it was a bit terrifying honestly. I mean seriously, it was ridiculous. They had ketchup all over their feet and some sort of sauce they got on my phone, which was still sitting on the table. (I wish I had a photo- I only got one later after the food was cleared out and there were 1/4 of the pigeons still lingering.) This was a pricey meal. I tipped 20% which is way too much for ordering at a counter with minimal service. The pineapple drinks were sour and not very cold. This does not taste like typical Hawaiian pineapple. $18 is a little much for a non alcoholic drink, even if it is pretty, served in the pineapple itself. The mahi mahi was dry, but at least the lemon sauce was pretty good. I am glad the pigeons got to enjoy it. read more

Good food but not so great location! If you're already in the area and looking for a casual seafood meal, this is your spot! It is kind of hidden in the Hilton village area between their properties amongst several stores and vendors. There is always a wait but it is timed so that by the time your order is ready a table miraculously opens up. The seating area is in an open, outdoor, loud small back alley. It is by no means fancy or a place you'd want to linger beyond the time it takes to finish your meal, but it is one of the only areas where you can eat outside besides taking your food to the beach area where you will be in competition with the local birds eyeing your meal! The service was good and I will likely return when I find myself nearby. read more

We used Bluewater Shrimp for our wedding catering and everything was SO good. We still have guests texting us and telling us how good the food was weeks later. We have had multiple people tell us it was the best wedding food and service they have ever had and that our wedding will be so memorable because of the food. The staff on the day of were so accommodating to our guests with certain allergies and very knowledgeable about everything that was in their food making then feel comfortable. The poke was some of the freshest poke we've ever had. The pig was a hit with every guest--it was perfectly done the skin was so crispy. The hand passed apps were so tasty and we had guests coming up to us at cocktail hour telling us how much they loved each item. We got the coconut shrimp, kalbi bao, and poke on taro chip. We also wanted malasadas for our dessert and the vendor we originally wanted was booked so we turned to GJ and his team to help us and they were able to make fresh malasadas the night of our wedding and they were some of the best malasadas we have ever had!! We also did a spam Musubi night cap which everyone loved. Our guests absolutely loved everything that was served people were getting up for seconds and thirds.
