This was a great place recommended to me by a local person. It appears they switch up the menu periodically but the dish I had for dinner was the Ebi à la king (shrimp, mushrooms, onions, a little peppers + rice in a delicious white sauce). Fresh and flavorful, though was a bit heavy with the onions for me. There is no inside seating but there's a really cute shared courtyard with a few tables. I know some of the reviews I saw mentioned that it can be a long wait but I went on a Monday night around peak dinner time and didn't have much of a wait at all. The courtyard is also a cute vibe, including a piano that people would just walk up and randomly start playing. The only downsides I would say is they don't provide real silverware- it was a little difficult to get all the shrimp and vegetables on a plastic fork. But even that wasn't enough to impact the rating. I'd also say the dish was quite filling even though it may not look like a lot of food. The location was tucked inside a small courtyard on the north side of Kuhio Ave just west of the International Market Place. It was behind the popular Marugame Udon. It was kind of easy to miss. On one visit, I ordered their garlic shrimp (ebi kahuku). It was very similar to what you can get up at North Shore, but these shrimp were peeled. For my other visit, I ordered their ebi a la King. It was a pretty efficient transaction. After paying for my order, I was given a pager. Once my food was ready, I grabbed a pair of chopsticks and took it back to my room to enjoy. Too good not to return when I'm in the area. The Garlic Shrimp is still my favorite. No peeling necessary and no pokey shrimp heads or shells. We wanted to check EbiNomi out since it is a popular spot for garlic shrimp in the area. We ordered the garlic shrimp plate and it took a long time to come out, about 35 minutes, even though we were the only ones in line. The plate came with rice and only 6 medium sized shrimp and cost almost $23 with tax. The garlic shrimp was cooked well, not overcooked or anything but there was nothing really special about it since it just tastes like garlic and butter. Especially for the steep price, it's not worth it and was really disappointing. We were the only customers there but had to wait for outdoor seating since there are people just chilling at the tables. The pictures outside made me change my mind at the last minute lol and I am so happy I did it was absolutely amazing! Since I was in Waikiki of course time to walk around and check out new places . EbiNomi is located ground floor of Kuhio Banyan apartments. Behind Kono's Waikiki location. I ordered their Potato shrimp which is wrapped with potatoes around the shrimp . That was very interesting but very good. I also ordered their shrimp curry mild . It has different level of hot . The cashier advised me if I want mild, medium, spicy and real spicy. This place is a little hole in the wall, you go in and order your food, then there is tables outside, that you can find and sit at. Yummy Garlic Shrimp! This is my first time having it at EbiNomi and with no shells. I really don't have a preference, but the garlic butter sauce it's cooked in is addicting. The shrimp were large and nicely tender. The rice was fresh and fluffy. Both were perfectly covered in the garlic butter. Generous portions. Cute little place with a few outside tables. We were craving some North Shore shrimp but 2 things: we were in Waikiki and it was already getting pretty late. Luckily, we stumbled upon EbiNomi while browsing around the Google Map of what was around. It's quite easy to miss this spot as it's a small storefront right behind the very popular Marukame Udon. There is no indoor seating whatsoever but there are a good amount of tables outside. They have lots of different styles of shrimp dishes in addition to North Shore style. I went with the EbiKahuku since that's what I was craving. It was very good, very generous with the garlic and the shrimps were plump and crispy. Best part was the shrimp was already peeled. It definitely did its job to satisfy my craving for garlic shrimp. The only unfortunate thing is that there aren't really any restrooms close by so we ended up needing to use the ones across the street in the International Marketplace next to the Target and accessories shop. I love oysters and decided to get the six piece fried oyster plate. The cashier must have been new. I asked for the fried oyster plate and she gave me a puzzled look.
