Fairly new-ish place that's really Shanghainese food but trying to capitalize on Sichuan's trendiness. Didn't bother ordering Sichuan, ordered dim sum, beef scallion pancakes and beef soup and was underwhelmed. The food was by turns extremely salty or unflavored. Don't get the hype here. If you want Sichuan food or just better food in general for the same price, go to Chef Wang's. Great experience on a Friday night. Great service, and outstanding food. We had scallion pancakes, two kinds of soup dumplings, eggplant with garlic sauce, rib, crispy noodles with vegetable, and a few other dishes, all good. Cousins and I looking for some dim sum brunch on Saturday tried this place since Fortune Wheel, our intended destination, was having some kitchen issues. This place is not the usual Hong Kong dim sum(no carts) but they have lots of goodies including a whole selection of delectable dumplings including the commonly known Pork and shrimp Shu Mai. We did not find the soup dumplings overly doughy as many reviews suggested. Either they improved or these patrons are not familiar with these dumplings. Too thin and you lose the soup. We especially liked the scallion pancakes with beef. They were crispy pancakes wrapped around a nice portion of tender shredded beef and hoi sin sauce. Like a cross between moo shu and Peking duck. We also enjoyed the pea greens. So fresh and steamed with lots of garlic. Even the children enjoyed them. Their wasn't a thing we didn't like and now I've got to go back to try the delicious looking Shang Hai dishes like Pan fried Udon noodles and more. I almost took a star off for service. We were the only patrons at noon Saturday and the gaggle of good looking waiters cared a bit more about hanging then serving. Some instruction in the proper use of condiments and method of eating is usually offered with the soup dumplings. Slivered ginger was left on the table and realized almost too late what to do with it and the vinegar. Management needs to reign these young guys in because you are not in a particularly Asian neighborhood and if you're only nice to Asians, guess what happens? Found a BUG in my food. Some type of 1cm vegetable bug in my bockchoy. At first i had some sand/dirt in my bokchoy but I just ignored it, then I found a bug in there. I always wondered if they washed their vegetables clean because the way they prepped the bokchoy is that they don't cut the stems so it's all in a bunch. NOW I know they are not sanitary and I will NO LONGER be ordering from them. There are plenty of Chinese food restaurants around so if you want to be competitive, provide quality food. Tried this restaurant twice for delivery . We tried the braised beef noodle soup, beef chow menu, seafood chow mein, the beef fried flat noodle, scallion pancake, scallion pancake with beef, the everything fried rice cake and general Tso's chicken. The scallion pancake with beef wasn't so fresh so we tried it without on the second order. I think it really needs the beef so I plan to give the scallion pancake with beef another try next time. The seafood chow mein (seafood crispy noodle) was very good and likely to be in my order every time. The beef chow mein is good but I'm not used to too much vinegar or sweetness so I probably might order it again. The fried rice cake is very good. The beef fried flat noodle is delicious. Oh, I also order the pan fried beef buns. They are the best!!!! Glad I found this place. It's just for 2 adults and a kid but we did order extra to try this place out. Was in the area and searched for a Chinese restraunt near me and found Bllue Wave. Ordered a lunch special to go. Size of the soup was 1/2 a pint. No crunchy noodles for the soup. No soy sauce, duck sauce or mustard. I ordered general tso's chicken. I think it was from the night before. No general tso's sauce and the rice was plain white rice so no sauce to mix with the rice. So dry chicken, plain white rice, no sauces. They were very quick and took my money before they put the order in. Would not recommend this restraunt. I will never go there again read more

These is an authentic Shanghainese chinese restaurant. Had their Drunken Chicken (a cold chicken marinated with chinese wine) and it was the best one I've had in a long time. The Braised Pork Round Hoof was out of this world- silky soft and tender! This is the Chinese version of Spanish Pernil or American Pulled Pork. And of course the Xiao Long Bao (steam soup dumplings) are very tasty as well as the fried dumplings and pan-fried pork buns are excellent choices. I ordered so much that I had to ask for a doggie bag- next time will bring more family members so that we can order more dishes for dinner. read more

Only giving it 2 stars because the dumplings were good. We ordered General Tso's chicken and chicken with garlic sauce. I asked to add eggplant to the chicken with garlic sauce and somehow they decided eggplant costs an extra $5. It came with so many vegetables and barely any chicken. Somehow this ended up costs $16 without any rice! General Tso's chicken also didn't come with rice so we had to pay extra just for regular white rice. Our total came out to almost $50 when we could've went to literally any other Chinese restaurant and paid less than $20 and gotten rice! Food was alright but these prices are ridiculous for a hole in the wall chinese restaurant. read more

This review is for customer service only since I never got to taste their food. I ordered on Seamless and the driver couldn't find my address. This was after an hour and me explaining my cross streets to him over the phone and also when I called the restaurant to let them know of the situation. The manager assured me that the driver will get to me now that he knows the cross streets. The manager called me back 5 minutes later to tell me that the driver found my street but not my house number and asked me to go outside to flag down the white car parked in front of a blue house. It was such a joke. I went outside to see if there was a white car roaming around but nothing. Since the manager was still on the phone I told him to cancel my order and to give me a refund. He said ok but a couple of hours later I didn't get an email confirmation from Seamless about the refund so I called the restaurant again. The same manager said it's Seamless' problem and gave me their customer service number to get my money back. Why didn't he mention this before?! It was so ridiculous but I saw that I wasn't getting anywhere with him so I contacted Seamless where they processed the request BACK to the restaurant to refund me within 5 business days! This whole experience was so off-putting and I am warning everyone to beware of their customer service. read more

I tried to find a Chinese food place with great ratings and now I will never trust Yelp again. There was a language barrier, which made ordering laborious and they were a half hour late delivering. However, that would have all been fine if the food was good. This was the worst Chinese food we've ever eaten. The wonton soup has wontons that were so over cooked that they fell apart into a soggy mess. The beef and broccoli sat in a pool of tasteless oily liquid almost drowning the food. The sweet and sour chicken was the worst with it tasting rubbery, overdone and just not like chicken honestly. The dumplings that came for free which was nice but the sauce you dip it in tasted like vinegar. My 10 year old was like omg mom this is horrible. We had white rice and soggy soup for dinner and tossed it in the trash. This is basically what you would expect to get from a Chinese food place in Pennsylvania. I can't imagine how they will survive on Long Island. Total waste of 30 plus dollars. Workers seemed nice but food was horrible. read more
