Food was very solid. Walked in, orderd, paid, and out the door in about 10 mins. One negative, went at 2pm, lunch specials are supposed to be until 3pm but was told they dont do lunch specials on sunday (even though it doesnt say that on the menu). Sesame chicken was nice and crispy, perfect amount of sauce and very tasty. The rice was kinda bland though. Not the worst ive had, but not great. Fried wontons were extremely greasy. Very meaty and tasted good, just ridiculously greasy. Wasnt a huge fan of the sauce that came with them. read more

We've been taking out from Hao Sheng II for a few months. The food has been okay but we like their cold noodles with sesame sauce. We took out an order the other day and it seemed fine. There were leftovers and the next day, I felt like a snack. I felt something hard in my mouth, thankfully didn't bite down thinking maybe some kind of shell from a nut. To my horror, when I removed what was in my mouth, I found a piece of jagged glass. Read the review gave it a try - people who claim this to be the real Chinese food were a bit off - I ordered scallion pancakes, egg roll, seafood pan fried noodles, bbq spareribs, garlic string beans, chicken chow mein and beef chow fun - the scallion pancakes were rubbery, sauce was ok- seafood pan fried noodles were made with the lo mein noodles not the thin egg noodles or Hong Kong noodles, beef chow fun was tasteless, chow mein made with red onion and overcooked not a vibrant green, bbq ribs were ok - sauce was thin and watery not the usual thick and carmelized, and the string beans were tasty - I am Asian and this is not authentic - there are better chinese take outs in Glen cove - this is not one of them May be off night so will have to try it again - what made it an even worse experience was 57$ meal cost 75 after deliver charges and tip - shame on me For using grubhub read more

Star rating compared to other Chinese takeout spots, of course. Hao Sheng is a leader in how to make a takeout spot a bit of a better experience. And, really, it's SO SIMPLE. While you can tell they took over a pizza place at some point (still has those 70's booths), the walls are freshly painted, the signs are updated, there's a decent TV, and the menu is clear. In other words, it looks CLEAN. I mean, I get it. You're serving and catering to a crowd who want cheap food, fast. But, once a year clean yourself up, dude. Put some lipstick on that pig. Back to HSII, the food was as solid as Americanized Chinese takeout gets with a $6.50 price tag (including tax) on their lunch specials. Don't try calling in an order because the lady doesn't understand English. Your best bet is to go in and point to what you want. It's Chinese food take out that's about it. The Food is alright. Cheap fried rice and decent sesame chicken. Over salted wonton soup but still tasty. This is the only spot maybe open after 9:30/10 where we could get Chinese food. Overall: Service is hit or miss with a language barrier. Food is okay, just okay. Only come here as a last resort or late night. Ask for sauces you'll need too. read more

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. Food is tasty and delivery is relatively fast. Ordering over the phone can be a little challenging. But, otherwise I highly recommend the restaurant. Zero stars because first of all their customer service SUCKS. Besides that they always mess up my order. Even when I try to repeat it- because I KNOW they will mess it up , the lady gets all rude and says " I got it I know I know " but still manages to screw up the order. And when I take it back to get my correct order they don't even discard the food, I've seen them put it back in the kitchen in the pan again to give to someone else. Gross. And they get mad. I don't eat meat and J don't eat out much but I happened to try this one day and fell in love! I have treated so many people to lunch here just so they can try the general tsk tofu!! It's delicious and the sauce is amazing. I have even catered it for parties and it was such a big hit with every single person vegan or non vegan. a ok chinese take out food joint in glen cove in a small outdoor strip mall surrounded by other fast food joints , etc. some seating inside but it's mostly takeout with the standard commercialize chinese fast food.they do plenty of deliveries but my group will not wait so it's go in and pick up. they do have the so call healthy vegetarian and tofu dishes along with diet dishes which has no salt, sugar , corn starch which if you are not familiar with will take a bit to get use to. the apps, dumplings. soup,chow mein, lo mein, poultry , beef , curry, pork, seafood in it's assorted styles which any chinese food joint has. most chinese takeout places are cash only but they take cards here the prices are average here but portions tend to be on the above average size. got boneless spare ribs, apple sticks, chicken dumplings, chicken fried rice, chicken with garlic sauce, shrimp with broccoli , peeper steak . i picked a little of each and from the empty containers my buddies enjoyed another free meal and as for me i can honestly say that it was more then good. simple easy to read menu with the basic offerings which is just fine with me. folks behind the counter are polite and friendly and no mistakes made so it's 4 stars overall . read more
