I've been to the 95th St. location several times with good service and food. However this week I went with a friend to celebrate birthday and Christmas. The wait staff was lovely, but I cannot say the same for the food. I had the Irish skillet. You needed a magnifying glass to see the hash and the taste was flat. Lots of potential here, but not great yet. The renovations are amazing they did a great job turning a really old greasy spoon diner into a new breakfast restaurant. They opened at 7am, we arrived around 8 but it looked like they were just setting up the tables. No hostess was present and no condiments on the tables. They seemed to be shorthanded and service was not prompt despite them not being very busy that early. The food was fresh and hot, but not flavorful. No salt pepper or butter was used during cooking the omelettes or potatoes. They need to smooth out their operations and have proper staffing, maybe consult with a business operations specialist to streamline tasks, then focus on enhancing the food. I don't write reviews often, but after my experience at Blueberry Hill Cafe, I felt morally obligated to warn others. Let's start with the food. I ordered the Sante Fe Skillet, which the menu described as a "flavorful mix of southwestern ingredients." What I received looked -- and tasted -- like someone had dumped a can of generic chili over some old hash browns, then stomped on it with a boot labeled "apathy." Lukewarm, flavorless, and somehow both greasy and dry. A true culinary paradox. But the real horror? My son's omelette. I don't know what happened back there in the kitchen, but it came out looking like a bag of mashed up poop. Not just bad -- it looked like something you'd find in a diaper after a child ate crayons and regret. My kid took one bite and asked me what he did wrong in life. Our waitress -- who I swear introduced herself as Mrs. Gardocki -- didn't seem surprised at our reaction. In fact, I'm 95% sure she wasn't a waitress at all. After we paid the bill (yes, we paid for this psychological experiment), she walked up to our table, pointed to a suspicious-looking patch of sidewalk outside, and said: "Now you have to go lick the white dog poop." Eat there for the first time today and the food was okay. The service was good. The restaurant decor is cute. Noise level was okay

The only reason they are receiving 2 stars is due to the fact that one of the two orders placed was good. I placed an order for the 2 egg breakfast was was decent. My second order was a Greek salad to be eaten later in the day. Lettuce must have been frozen because it was complete water & wilted later in the day. Tomatoes were the same way. Service was okay, weird set up at register. Location was older (but I like that). Parking Lot is very small. I won't be a return customer. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Blueberry Hill Cafe. The pancakes were nicely prepared, both the regular and multigrain. The coffee and tea was nice and hot, as one would expect at a diner the specializes in breakfasts. My grandson enjoyed a grilled cheese sandwich too. The service was great. My only wish would be to have the option of getting real 100% maple syrup. Some restaurants have the maple syrup option and add a small $2 up-charge. I'd like that option. read more

Absolutely the worst breakfast experience I have had in a long time!!!! Blueberry hill has never had the best service but this time was the worst!!!! We walked in and there was only 3 other tables sitting when we arrived. We were not greeted, we stood by the door while 2 servers walked right past us. The host finally came out from the kitchen and basically pointed to a table for us to go sit it. No menus. She finally brought menus to us and then we sat there. A few more tables walked in and same thing. No greeting. No host. Again, they were pointed to tables as well. Is this a new practice? To be pointed where to go? Very cold and unwelcoming. If I wasn't so hungry I would've just left. We sat there for around 10 minutes and a male sever walked up and asked if we knew what we wanted to drink. He placed a caraf of water, some empty glasses and walked away. We poured our own waters. He came back almost 10 minutes later again and we ordered our drinks. He walked away and greeted the table behind us very nicely. We didn't get a hello, welcome, how are you.... NOTHING! He finally came back to get our order and we still haven't even gotten our drinks yet. We ordered and he grabbed the menus and walked away again. No personality whatsoever. Felt like we were an annoyance to him. Needless to say, our drinks didn't come u til the food was ready and we were missing 1 drink. He set the food down and didn't come back to check. I had to get up and ask for our bill because we needed to leave. Very bad experience and we will NOT BE RETURNING. It's now clear why local places like Stacked, Maple and Jam and hashtag were on a wait. They are all much better than Blueberry hill. read more

Friendly and attentive service from the moment we entered. Great food with large portions. We particularly enjoyed the potato pancakes and meathead skillet. Other pancakes (chocolate chip and pumpkin) were very good as well. It was somewhat loud for the amount of people there and the entrance is a bit difficult to navigate with people checking out, arriving, and to go orders all being processed in the same tight space. There's something they're doing wrong because other locations like the Original pancake house and stacked just to name a few always busy, busy busy. The food. The server was about the only good thing at this restaurant. I ordered a skillet and was told that it came with hash browns (asked for them well done)and it came with diced potatoes so she took it back and came back 5 minutes later and said they were going to remake it with shredded hash browns. When she brought it out the potatoes were still cold and the eggs were the same ones that they brought out with the first skillet. So now I had cold pancakes, cold potatoes and cold eggs so I told her that and she took it back. I have never seen a restaurant reuse food and serve it cold. The restaurant seemed not to care.
