I came here with a group of 15 people on a weeknight and they reserved a long table for us. You order first, then they'll give you a buzzer. The buzzer wasn't working so they called out names too. I got the 10" mini - BBQ Chicken Delight (they don't have one slices here). It was yummy! Obviously, I couldn't finish it all myself so they gave us mini Togo pizza boxes which were super cute. The pizzas here are meant to be shared cause they are huge! There's a small parking lot but this day I came, they were full so I parked on the sidewalk. Not a bad spot if you're craving some pizza.

Been coming here for 40 years. Pizza sandwich is still my absolute favorite and their homemade ranch is amazing. It is frustrating that some employees charge for ranch $1.19 each tiny cup and others don't charge at all. So it's worth it to try to ask for ranch first to see if you get it for free. Potatoes need salt every time. Spaghetti never comes with enough sauce so make sure to ask for extra. These seem to be free, I've never been charged. Pizzas are great and so is the dessert cookie. Note that their salads are filled with beets and garbanzo beans, like loaded! Raviolis are yummy!!! Thank you, see you next time.

Food usually is good here. Service was fine. Ambience lots of chatter coming out from the kitchen. And some T.V. ‍

I visited Porky's Pizza Palace in San Leandro for the first time during the AFC Championship game, and it turned out to be a great place for a big group. We had about 16 people, and the space handled it well. We ordered four large pizzas: * Two pepperoni * A Hawaiian with jalapeños * The Chicken Club Since I don't eat pork, I stuck mostly with the Chicken Club, which was really good--fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Overall, the pizzas were tasty and well made. For appetizers, we ordered: * Fried mushrooms * Mozzarella sticks * Jalapeño poppers * Wings Everything came out fresh and hot. The appetizers are a little on the pricey side, but the quality was good and the portions worked well for sharing. We also had sodas and water for the table. The atmosphere is one of the highlights. Porky's has that classic, old-school community feel. There are plenty of TVs for watching games, a few arcade machines, and walls filled with Little League and youth sports photos going back decades. From what I saw, the place has been around since 1964, and you can really feel that neighborhood history. The staff was friendly, organized, and handled the crowd well, especially with a big game day turnout. This is a great spot if you're planning a party, group gathering, or game watch. They also have a good beer selection (we didn't try it this time, but it's available). The only thing I regret is not trying their Rustic Margherita Pizza--that's definitely on my list for next time. Overall: Two thumbs up If you're in the San Leandro area and want a fun, relaxed place for pizza, sports, and good company, Porky's is worth checking out.

I have lived in this area for over 15 years and I FINALLY had Porky's. I understand now. The quality is great! It isn't oily and doesn't make you feel terrible even after you ate the extra slice you shouldn't have. Service is quick and staff are pleasant. We ate outside to enjoy the air. I'd come back and try other pizzas! While it is pricey, the quality of it shows and it's well worth it.

Was craving pizza and some friends had recommended Porky's Pizza Palace. They had hyped it up so I was quite excited to try them out. We ordered for delivery and received all our items. The pizza had a nice thick crust, nicely flavored sauce however we asked for light cheese and it was caked with a layer of cheese. Some people love extra cheese but we prefer light cheese on our pizza. If you're a cheese lover then you'll def like this pizza. We also ordered some potato wedges and was pleasantly surprised to see they were large wedges. The wedges lacked seasoning but a little salt and pepper made it much more tastier. Surprisingly the real star of our dinner was their chicken bucket! The chicken was crispy on the outside yet moist on the inside. It had great flavoring inside and out. Would I come back for the pizza? Probably not since there's other spots I'd prefer to get pizza from. But I'd definitely come back for the chicken!

Raised in San Leandro and have heard hype about Porky's my entire life. Finally went on Saturday a couple of weeks ago and it... was just ok. The staff were all friendly people. The pizzas came out pretty fast. But the pizzas were *very* inconsistent in quality despite the only difference being size. I ordered a mini pepperoni, while my brother ordered a large pepperoni. Our pizzas came out looking totally different. Mine was very thin crust, very oily, with slightly overdone crust, while my brother's had perfect, fluffy crust, was thicker, and very cheesy. Not overly oily, either. Mine looked overdone and deflated by comparison. Not sure what happened here, and maybe I just should've sent mine back. In retrospect, I wish I did because my brother's pizza was delicious and what I was craving from a pizza that night, whereas mine was just ok but left me really disappointed. Definitely not the strongest first impression. My husband got the sausage sandwich and deep fried zucchini. Deep fried zucchini isn't something I'd ever order but I tried his and thought they were actually nicely done. Crispy exterior, tender zucchini inside. But while his sandwich was generous in size and pretty tasty, the bread looked scorched on the ends, as though they just barely got it out of the oven before it burned entirely. The chocolate chip dessert pizza was great, very gooey and melty. I appreciate the somewhat divey feel of Porky's. It reminds me of San Leandro growing up, a place I deeply miss because the San Leandro of today is simply not the same. But I also think Porky's could do just a *bit* more to spruce the place up and make it look a little less tired inside. Overall, I was disappointed with my first Porky's experience because of how sad my pizza was compared to my brother's, but since his was delicious and exactly what I was hoping for, I'd be willing to give Porky's one more chance to see if I'll get a better pizza next time. And if anything, it'd just be nice to get another nostalgia bomb by having another meal here.

Combo minus bell peppers and pepperoni. Delicious!!

Service was excellent. That fried chicken man oh man! That pizza jeez louise! Haha. Real quality Italian sausage. No BS in their quality. My only regret is not knowing about this spot years ago. This is my spot worth the drive from Piedmont Ave for sure

A simple family dinner night with my family after a long day at work. Their fried chicken is juicy on the inside and has a nice crispy crust on the outside. We ordered 16" BBQ chicken pizza and my kids love it--sweet and tangy lots of BBQ chicken. Great customer service, we first ordered our food, and after we ordered our drinks at the bar separate bill, kid-friendly they have a small arcade on the corner. Big screen TVs to watch sports, plenty of tables very spacious.

In the Oakland area a was looking for a local pizza place. The front desk at the hotel recommended Porky's as a good local hangout. Plus the name is the best! Thoughts came back about the movie. lol. So I had to try it. I wasn't disappointed. I got the mini meat lovers and a beverage. Pricey at $24 but it is California where even taking a breath of fresh air costs a deposit. The pizza was the size of a medium in a normal place so plenty to eat and a lot of ingredients. I would have given a 5 but the cost held me back. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

They're definitely on a mission. This one in San Leandro may be 2 years old and is a larger one. I think most of them are in huge spaces now with a large outdoor feature. Here their outdoor area is partially covered, like the sides, but the center is exposed to the open sky. They dot the space with large olive trees, so it has a nice beer garden vibe. We sat in their bar area, and I noticed that even though you are super close to where all the employees are, you get the most do-it-yourself type of service. We had to get our own beers at the bar station, place our food order there and repeat the process anytime we wanted anything more. Now the employees do bring the food out, will clear empties and bring a takeout box if needed. But I think the system is a bit flawed to only allow service personnel to only do partial the work, and create a system for them to avoid customer interaction. But when that tipping prompt comes up on the screen upon paying, the highlighted buttons of 18-20%+ aren't shy at glaring at you front and center. Just an observation and a 2020s cringe for me. I tried 2 of their lagers styles that day as it was pretty warm out and both were really good. Very bold and assertive in the hop ratio, which is a Fieldwork stamp. And what I liked is that they actually tasted fermented in the true lager style which is long, slow and cold. Garlic Fries ($9/4*) Standard and solid garlic fries. Thinner fries, crisp, clean and a good salt presence. A good amount of a cooked garlic is tossed in so isn't that 'spicier' raw garlic type. A dusting of parm is also in the mix. Great with cold crisp beers. Trust. Pepperoni Pizza ($22/3.5*) I remember I tried this same pizza at their San Ramon location and was really impressed with that one. Like a top 5 pizza for me here in the Bay. This one kinda had the similar traits but just wasn't as tight as my original try. The one in San Ramon was crisp throughout, without being overdone. This one was crisp on the outer edges but was limp in the center, so when picking up a slice, a major droop occurred. The pepperonis were totally legit, but the cheese here seemed more wet for some reason. Very milky in taste, but I think it is the reason why the center stayed wet. Again just an observation. Pretty good add for San Leandro, with 21st Amendment closing within the year. This keeps San Leandro a strong brew destination still with Drake's nearby still in the fray. I'm sure I'll be back, just don't love their mode of service chosen.
