I picked this place based on reviews for their boils. There are some here and there reviews, but this had the most consistent for crawfish I could find. Glad we decided to take the extra few minutes and make the drive as we are in town for the weekend in Conroe. So, walked in and seated pretty quickly waiting on the rest of our party. Had our drink order taken and was told the waiter was pretty swamped and it might be a minute. It wasn't too packed, but I've waited tables... so I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed sometimes from a long day. Okay, cool. The rest of our party arrived and our beer still hadn't arrived from the bar after about 10 minutes. Then we sat about another 10 minutes before we waved someone down to get our waiter to get the rest of the drinks and missing beer. The manager (I think) took our drink order from the beginning and was told our waiter never showed. He immediately apologized, had the beer and rest of the drinks quickly and our waiter arrived and also apologized. The manager offered an appetizer on him for our inconvenience. How thoughtful and much appreciated gesture! He recommended the boudin balls. we also ordered gator bites. The boudin balls had decent flavor, but that did not taste like any boudin I've ever had from Louisiana or south Texas. It wasn't bad, but seemed almost homemade. It seemed to be missing the thickness of traditional boudin and probably wouldn't order them again being I grew up eating boudin a little differently. Now, for the boils! Yummy!! We both did the spicy level for heat and glad we did. The crawfish were big, the crab were sweet and the shrimp were not small by any means. The crawfish were cleaned well and the plates were awesome. Seems odd to say, but I like that they were plated instead of dumped in a plastic container. Overall excellent place to eat and would definitely return. I would go for the crab legs next time after trying my boyfriends. Definitely worth it. read more

I went to Bluewater while in Houston to visit family. We were a party of 9 so we kept our server "Tiger" running quite a bit. But he handled it no problem. We all had oysters which although were fresh were a little smaller than I expected. I had the spicy crawfish which were very tasty and had a serious bite to them. others at my table had the Catfish, King Crab, Shrimp, and Gator and everyone enjoyed. The highlight of the evening was the "race that Tiger set up for my nephews birthday which we were celebrating. I wont ruin the surprise but, I will say it was the funniest birthday celebration I have ever experienced at a restaurant . We laughed so hard we were crying. Thanks Tiger! Recently went back here after a long time away and the the place may have aged, but the food and good service remained the same. I recently visited with friends and we had a pleasurable lunch from the gator and calamari to the main dishes of king crab and blackened catfish while having some cold margaritas. I've been here in the past but good quality was average. Last night I was driving by to go to Papa's Seafood and saw this place packed. I thought to myself this place may have better food and this is exactly what I experienced. Crawfish to die for, hot with a little kick to it. I wanted to order Salmon but ended up with Monterey Chicken. Saw a lady next to us with a Salmon and it looked over cooked or she may have ordered well done, didn't want to take a chance. This place has come a long way. Give it a shot. Side note to the restaurant, if you do not ask customers temperature for Salmon, don't go beyond medium well. If you do, she may just have ordered well done. Also for Salmon lovers, offer wild caught Atlantic Salmon as well. Charge more but do give us an option. read more

While the food seemed fresh and not of the frozen variety, which would be much worse, someone seems to have discovered a salt mine and is going to town in the kitchen. Fantastic little seafood dive in the middle of spring. Seafood is fresh and the atmosphere is unpretentious and casual. Gulf and Blue Point oysters were some of the best we have had in Texas! The ceviche was also perfect! Looking forward to coming back with a bigger appetite for dinner! read more

The food once again was awesome and well seasoned (although we had to tell them again to take it back and put the spicy sauce on it and extra dust). We came in between lunch and dinner at an odd time so it was relatively empty but I can tell they get really busy during the evening time. We had a variety of dishes. Crab Stuffed Jalapenos 5/5 - YUM! I love stuffed jalapenos and there were not in the least disappointing. Oysters 4/5 - Good but I've had better. New England Clam Chowder 5/5 - Haven't had it in so long and this hit the spot! Shrimp Po'Boy 4.5/5 - Everything about it was good except the bread needed just a little bit more time in the toaster! 3lbs of Crawfish 4/5 - I've had better crawfish but these were very good. We usually frequent their 1960/Champion Forest location but on this day we decided to try this spot and so glad we did! It is a lot bigger and has more tables inside and out and much livelier than the other location. Our waiter, Brian, was awesome and I have to say their food is consistent from one place to the next. Since I can no longer eat crawfish (BOO!!) I ordered the Mariner's Platter - grilled fish, shrimp, scallop, oyster with a side of toast and medley veggies - and my better half got the Captain's Catch - 1 lb. crawfish, 10 boiled shrimp, snow crab - both for very reasonable prices. There are TV's throughout the restaurant so you won't miss a thing when it's baseball, football, or basketball season - in every direction you look you'll see a TV. It is a few minutes farther away from the Champion Forest spot, but we are willing to make the drive. read more

It just got renovated in every way and reopened this past Monday. It looks really nice inside and they have a great bar with 3x 55in LED TV(great for sports). The ambiance is very family friendly and the servers are well trained. NOW... Non of this matter unless the food is good and is not, ITS GREAT!! You have to try a pistolette for sure. The fried Catfish has the best breading I've ever had, and the shrimp is excellent. I now will go back there to eat everything I just told you, but for the love of food, order my favorite: Grilled Mahi-Mahi with Shrimp Sauce and sautéed green beens, You are welcome. Bluewater dropped the ball. Went with family, had ten in our party. They were busy, and we were told a 30 to 45 min wait. I understand they were busy, I get it. But! We waited over an hour to get seated and they sat a party larger then our who showed up after we did. Then they put us at a table that should only had space for eight, it was cramped. After getting the table to work and being crowded around the table. We waited. Finally when the food came everybody got food except my wife and I. We were told it's coming, so we waited more. By the time somebody came back and checked on us everybody's food had already been 3/4 eaten. When they finally asked about our food, we told them never mind. After numerous mistakes they offered absolutely no apologies. Food is ok, not great but the service need work. read more
