They carry the following: sunglasses, shoes, clothing, ski and snowboard equipment, bikes (both electric and regular), camping gear, etc. Rentals also available. Decent prices on last year models with current 25% off promotion. Atmosphere - Cool mural before entering the store, see picture. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm or 7pm. Semi private small parking lot, but there is plenty of parking in the mall. Service - 5 stars, greeted and thanked on our way in and out. Price - Expensive, but that is the cost for quality products. This is where the old charming Charlie's use to be :) what a great and NEEDED trendy , clean and OPEN store! You can rent and buy skis and snowboards .... snow shoe season leases !! (Kids - $99/129 Adults $129). Day and weekly rentals also! What an amazing addition to our neighborhood!! Staff is so helpful, place is so clean ... you could eat off the floor! Not a single person in the store was wearing a mask! Not an employee and not a single customer and not even a sign at the front door stating you need to wear a mask when you come in. I would never frequent a business that was that irresponsible. In addition they don't have anything! It's a bunch of mess! They have a mess of stuff everywhere. But nothing worth buying. Nice to see more sporting goods in come to our South area of Reno. This is a new, nicely organized store with some cute women's clothing and shoes. They have my favorite brand of flip flops here ate a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly. Hope this store gets the foot traffic and business that it needs and that the store succeeds. We visited this store just to look around for some biking accessories and a Bike rack for our vehicle. The staff, what staff? I don't think there are people working at this location. Oh wait, that must be one of them chit chatting at the front and just making jokes and too distracted to even greet people as they come in. Or maybe the kid hiding in the corner as he plays on his phone and when asked if he worked here said "yeah but I'm not on the clock" oh ok, never mind thank you. There are a lot of items with no prices in them and as mentioned, there is really no staff to ask for assistance or for a price check. The store was neat and had some nice gear. Really sweet to see another Sport Store open in Reno. Blue Zone Sports has been around for years. I've been doing business in the Truckee store for years. In fact I just pick up a pair of Oberemeyer Ski pants. They have a 30% sale right now on all there winter clothing. Both stores have a good selection left of name brand things on sale at a very reasonable price. A number of there ski's were also discounted. The new Summit store really impressed me with the varied of products they had packed in there. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had a very pleasant experience and am positive I'll visit them year around for sporting appeal and equipment. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Jordan and Tyler are AMAZING. One of the buckle straps on my snowboard bindings broke and these 2 guys tried every possible option to get me a replacement that would work. My bindings are old, so this was not an easy task. A couple of things I look for at a ski shop is a good inventory, and a friendly staff, Blue Zone had both! From the moment I walked in I was promptly greeted, and my first initial thought was "wow these guys have the best selection of equipment I've seen since pre pandemic" from their ski/snowboarding gear to clothing they had it all! I'm a regular shopper at all of the local ski stores and their selection might just be the best in Reno! I had been looking for a new set of boots and Brody the representative there helped fit me and explained the different models available and found a boot that fit my needs! Needless to say with their competitive, great inventory, and an excellent staff I will definitely be coming back! read more

This is not the place to purchase a first bike. My son's physical therapist recommended a Strider balance bike. We saw that this store carried them so we took him to check it out. I wanted him to sit on it just to make sure the size was OK for him. They got it down for us but someone came over and said he couldn't ride it without a helmet or in the store. The bike has no pedals and my son is 2. I wasn't going to let go and let him take off with it. I just needed to make sure that his feet touched the ground when he sat on it. So we left and ended up at the big store in Legends. They had it, let him sit on it, and told us more about the product and how kids use it to learn. We even left with a cool Spiderman helmet. I understand this store's reasoning and I'm sure this place is great for people who know what they need, just not for a family trying to purchase a first bike for their toddler. read more

I'm so disappointed, as I thought these guys were going to be the shop Reno desperately needs. Don't get your hopes up. Everything was great until the moment they had my money and that's where the trouble begins. After spending $1600 on gear and being promised the skis I purchased would be there in 2 days or less, they're still not there nearly 2 weeks later. This after countless phone calls, hearing "Oh they'll be here tomorrow" many times, and three trips to the shop, I decided to just return everything. No attempt for an explanation, acknowledgement, or any other form of trying to keep my business. Just, "Okay, have your receipt?" As a new ski shop in a small city, it's incumbent upon them to try to ingratiate themselves to their new city and clientele and clearly these guys just don't get it. I will say that Maya is a great boot fitter, good salesperson, and was the only staff who at least attempted an apology for the wasted time. They'd be far better off with her as store manager, as at least she understands customer service. As for the manager and rest of the staff - they'd clearly rather be elsewhere. It kills me to shop non-local, but I'd advise Reno residents to look elsewhere if you expect acceptable customer service from your ski shop. read more

I took my boards and skis to be waxed and tuned. Not only we're they not ready when they said they be ready but they removed all of my bindings and lost the mounting screws. Poor customer service and I will NEVER take my gear to be worked on nor ever recommend this place. read more

I was looking for some new snow gear and heard that Bluezone was one of the best places in Reno for outdoor equipment. I went in and I was like a fat kid in a candy shop. WOW! I instantly knew my feiko score would be F****. Their selection of winter gear was completely and utterly stupefying and the shop was immaculate. Soon after I walked in the sales associate, I think her name was Kelsey, came up to help me and was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. She helped me find some new snow pants and gloves and even sold me on a new Libtech board! I was quite happy with the exquisite customer service from all the staff. These guys are rockstars! Went in to try to find ski boots and Jordan helped me try on literally every pair they had in my size! He was patient and knowledgeable and even took the time to double check with another seasoned team member to validate the sizing. They have a huge selection of winter sports gear AND summer sports gear for mountains biking, road biking, kayaking... Dude! They have it all! The manager, Benj, was also amazing! When they didn't have my size, they offered to call around to their other local stores and have the item transferred to the store so I could just pick it up! CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! False advertising, unethical business practices and misleading advertising is what BlueZone Sports should be known for. Went into the South Reno store to purchase a Yeti cooler. I was shown and told that they were on sale through their website and to order it to get the sale price. I did just that as I walked out of the store. After not hearing anything for 5 days, I reached out for an update and was told that they do not have the product I ordered any longer. If you offer a product and advertise that product and even recommended by your staff and then cannot fulfill my order, why even advertise if you had no intention of sending? Horrible business practice and this will be reported to the Secretary for the State of Nevada as unethical business practices and false advertising. read more

I went in there the other day with some questions regarding my mountain bike, and Ben fixed me up with everything I needed! They are super nice, friendly and inviting.
