5 star rating for Bluffington's!! It's always a good time when I come here. Took the fiance here to try the food and he was not disappointed. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately taken cared of. It was busy but the ambiance was bright, busy and cheerful. We came in during breakfast/lunch, brunch time. My fiance ordered a chicken salad sandwich with potato salad while I ordered a corned beef sandwich and potato salad. The lady who took our order was so sweet and didn't rush us to order which was nice considering how busy they were. My fiance also ordered an iced caramel macchiato while I ordered a hot chai tea latte. We were dining in so we were immediately seated after placing order. Please note that this place is not so big but they always manage to find seating for their patrons which is great. Our drinks came in no time and my fiance said his macchiato was wonderful, not too overpowering yet not too sweet either, it was just right and a great pick me up, especially for a busy morning. My chai tea latte was also excellent, it wasn't too sweet or decadent but perfectly creamy and delicious. When our food came, we were IN LOVE. My fiancé couldn't stop raving about their chicken salad sandwich saying it was a really good sandwich. He said the chicken was tender and there wasn't too much mayo to the point that it would be over powering. Also, the potato salad was something he also loved which I agreed with as well. There were nice big chunks of potatoes in there and again, it wasn't overpowered by mayo. The seasoning was good and it accompanied the sandwiches perfectly. My corn beef sandwich was lovely!! I had all the fixings on it with Swiss cheese and it was great. Piled high with corn beef which was succulent and nicely spiced on wheat bread. I'm normally a hot sammie type of girl but this sandwich was *chefs kiss*. Meat was tender and the other ingredients were fresh. I definitely would return to get this again! Overall, great meal and we will continue to come back.

Supposed to be a buffalo chicken wrap

Ordered buffalo chicken wrap, no chicken/blue cheese in the wrap at all. Completely filled with lettuce/tomato.

The food was so good, i got a blueberry muffin which was absolutely delicious and fresh! I also got the chicken melt with cheddar cheese and sourdough bread (not pictured) it came with chips and a pickle. it was nice to eat. I will say the service was good. Staff was nice and respectful and even offered me a water for my wait (which wasn't a long wait.) I can say the ambiance felt a little off which is why i gave it four stars. i'm sure it was just me but other than that i would definitely come back! maybe it was a one off.

Usually a busy spot and cannot be considered cheap. Food is ok but worth it if you are in the neighborhood.

Starting with the salads...for around $12...you pick from an excellent selection of fresh ingredients and they toss it up. You can have them chop it as well. Their dressings are custom made and the ginger dressing, in particular, is delightful. The sandwiches...also about $12...are large and also made to order. (If you order a Panini expect a wait of around 15 minutes.) Their bakery goods are to die for! Yes, you could run around the corner to Gerhards but you'll pay much less here at Foodstuffs for a larger, better dessert (and maybe even fresher). It's not all perfect, however. We recently took home one of their frozen Shepards Pies and while the crust was great and it had plenty of meat filling there was way, way too much salt in the recipe. Also, I've had soup here a few times and it was good, but not great. As an aside, the service here is definitely courteous but can be slightly standoffish at times so don't expect the kind of super friendly service you may experience elsewhere in Lake Forest.

I got an italian beef dipped no pepps with mozz; beef quality not good but they pack it in there so you're full by the end. The dip was interesting, I'm used to Portillos where it's a bit soggy but this was not at all, kind of nice it doesn't get everywhere but still some flavor, but maybe not enough. There's a huge amount of fries for the order that are crinkle cut and well done. And you fill the drink yourself (so free refills) but there's no lid on the styrofoam cups. Whole thing cost me $16.33; nice place, can't say I recommend this order.

When you enter, it is a small place that has a few tables, the main counter/deli, and then a few slot machines. Depending on how many people are in line, it can take a while. There was only one lady working when I went, and there was one person ahead of me, and his order wasn't huge but took a while because of the variety of things they offer. I ordered an Italian beef quesadilla, 12 inch sub, and elotes. I like that you can choose any of their deli meats to put in your quesadilla, and they are not skimpy on the amount they put in, which is nice, especially for the price you pay for a quesadilla. The sub was my favorite. You can choose your deli meat and options to put on it. I've had the sub before because a place had gotten subs catered from there. That's why I went to see where this delicious sub came from. I should have stuck to the subs that was tasty. The elotes, on the other hand, were not. If I knew they didn't use roasted corn, I wouldn't even have ordered. The corn was soggy, and the toppings of mayo, butter, and chili powder didn't even have a great taste. The ingredients were there, but it tasted like nothing. Which is unfortunate. It's close to home, so I'd come back for another sub, but idk if I would get anything else. They do have horchata, but it's just the pre-packaged mix, so I didn't even bother to get one. They have the potential to be a good neighborhood spot
