I have to write a pre and post review because I have to encourage you to finally take that step towards electrolysis hair removal! Don't wait any long and look no further, you've found the best technicians in the field - truly. Nina, Niki, and Mary hold the utmost professionalism and make you feel comfortable immediately. They're there to answer your questions and practice patience as you take your journey to finally being hair-free. Keep in mind, it took me five years to finally make an appointment after a traumatizing laser hair removal experience that left me with coarse facial hair. It was incredibly painful and inconsistent and I was going to a credited and well-known spa in Chicago. It got so bad that I was at the point to where I had to shave daily for the past couple years and it was effecting my skin - causing ingrown hairs, discoloration, dryness, etc. And it also affected my confidence greatly. I emailed Blush on a Saturday and got a response pretty quickly from the owner Nina. We exchanged a few texts and scheduled my consult from there. She also booked me for an hour of electrolysis immediately after and it was the best decision. She talked me through my nerves and explained the process in details - no questions left unanswered. The pain was much more manageable than the gimmick of painless laser. There are always more sensitive areas than others, but overall, I'm able to lay for two hours without needing a break. I'll admit, the 5% Lidocaine helps a lot and so does Nina's gentle hand. I have now completed 10.5 hours and am almost done with a full pass over my face. The process can be long and tedious. It can make you feel anxious but let me just tell you how excited and hopeful it makes you feel. I can't wait to post my results a year from now and be proud and feel so beautiful again. I've been seeing Nina for electrolysis consultation and treatments since November 2022. I see her for roughly 8 hours a month since I have pretty severe bursitis thanks to PCOS. Nina does a fantastic job with not only treating the individual hairs but treating me as her client. She does everything she can to make sure I'm comfortable during an uncomfortable treatment- whether it's lowering the intensity of the treatment or allowing for more breaks, anything that helps me out! Additionally she pays attention to the products I use, but is never pushy with her own recommendations. If I ask questions about products, she's able to provide insight and offer suggestions, but always waits for me to invite her advice. I set up my first appointment with Nina back in August 2020 for electrolysis. I was really nervous it would not work because my hair was growing really quick and thick all under my chin and neck and on the sides as well. I saw a difference right away ! I followed the care instructions, what not to do in between sessions and all of that. I think following those instructions helped a lot. It does not hurt, there were many times I wanted to fall asleep haha but I kept myself awake. Nina was very nice and sweet and I loved her vibes. My last appointment was in November 2022. I was very happy with how I did not have any hair anymore. I stopped going since that last appointment because of health reasons. Then in 2023 I was finally diagnosed with PCOS. And I have been dealing with some other health problems since then. But now I have been feeling better and have been getting back to doing things I used to. I WILL be going back to Nina and making an appointment for the little hairs k have left (they are not noticeable at all but I notice them at times haha). I don't want to write this review because you guys will book up all of their availability. LOL BUT! My experience was so great I have to share. First of all I got lost. Not sure how with GPS and all but yeah, got there early only to get lost and become late for my appointment. Niki, was so nice and welcoming that my frazzle subsided immediately as I entered. Dermalogica Products were used on me. You know how you go to a spa and they want to add on all this stuff after your treatment? Niki was not like that. She recommended an item and didn't push me to get it. I ended up getting that and more! I have two friends that have made appointments since my visit two days ago because I can't shut up. My skin feels and looks amazing. I got the diamond microdermabrasion treatment, LED treatment, and extractions. So relaxing. All of the products she applied were explained as she applied them. I have had 2 (long sessions2+hrs) to remove this unwanted facial hair. I do have a high tolerance for the electrolysis sessions as I fall asleep. Mary is an incredible esthetician who takes her time to get to know her client's concerns and goals. Since working with her, my skin has transformed, and on some days I cannot believe how good it looks! Getting electrolysis done at Blush has been such a pleasure! During my first session, the owner, Nina, thoroughly walked me through everything to expect and helped map out exactly how to schedule my electrolysis appointments to make sure I had the most effective and efficient hair removal. I've been going to Blush since October 2022, and now in October 2023 I see maybe a 75%+ reduction in my hair growth, which I'm so happy about. And what does grow comes in much slower and thinner. Blush is a very clean, calm, and nicely decorated salon. I go to all three electrologists (Nina, Niki, and Mary), and they are all excellent. They will make sure to check in on your pain level and decrease the intensity. It is very quick and easy to set up appointments online, and they offer great discounts for package purchases, as well as specials. If you can't find an appointment to fit your schedule, sign up for the waitlist and they'll let you know if they have an opening available. Niki, Nina, and Mary are all very nice and friendly and clearly are close friends; it is a fun environment witnessing their work banter. I always feel relaxed and taken care of with them. From the beginning of my experience at Blush, Mary listened to my concerns and she was actually the person who recommended the HydraFacial. I followed her recommendation and I was not disappointed! Throughout the years I have sporadically received facial treatments, but never have been consistent. I decided to try something new and I cannot express how delighted I am of this decision. As with other facials I have received, my overall skin looked healthier and vibrant; however, with this technique, I feel my fine lines have diminished and have received better results than simply using serums alone. I don't care what others are saying but I'm NEVER going back again. I've done facials and electrolysis here before but each time leaving my skin red, blotchy and irritated! I had no idea what they did but one time they left my eyes burning for days. I did not feel very safe and comfortable being in here either during this time because you can literally walk pass someone up close w/o 6 feet apart in this confined basement. They could have spaced clients further out between appointments. I saw someone wearing a mask down her chin one time which made me extremely uncomfortable. Time to look elsewhere and there're def other places that do a better job. read more

I've been seeing Nina for over three months now for the hair in between my eyebrows and around them. She is very professional, friendly, and does excellent work. Electryolysis is a process, as you have to be patient with the hair follicle growth cycles, but the process is absolutely worth it. I was tweezing nearly every day and just getting really tired of all the time and effort. Electrolysis has been a really great investment and I highly recommend it. I have fair skin and dark hair and, despite being called an "ideal candidate," I have been very disappointed with laser hair removal -- simply, it hasn't worked. My experience was validated when I researched electrolysis and learned, from Blush's website, that it is the only FDA approved method for permanent hair removal. Although compared to laser the treatment is an investment, I have been so pleased with the results so far. An electrolysis session actually removes the hair so you feel better after each one. Nina and Nikki are friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable, and walk you through each step of the procedure. They can adjust the strength of the treatment to your comfort level and also offer packages to help with the cost. At last, a real solution! read more

Best skincare ever and the only place I have found that actually knows how to do extractions. Both Niki and Nina are the VERY best. Don't waste your money elsewhere!!! Their facials are "real" facials with actual extractions and pimple popping...not just a "steam and clean". The extractions are not comfortable, but they are necessary for good skin--and who wants blackheads and pimples? They honestly understand what good skin means and they know it takes hard work. Their facials should be part of ANY good skincare routine. Ask them about specials--they run them often. Tell them I said hi and I thank them, always. Omg this is why I live small businesses! They care so much for their clients. I have been here numerous times and worked with everyone and they are all literally so nice and professional! I made a last minute appt with Nina on a Friday and she took care of me after hours even when I was extremely late.
