Brought my son here for an after school hair cut. He will only let a certain person cut his hair he is very picky. The barber was very patient as my son described it hat he wanted and as he cut, he continued to have him style it. I was being a helicopter mom and putting my two sense in but the barber kept his cool and kept doing his thing. The vibe here is real cool, it really caters to the younger generation... real trendy and vibey. There is seating along the wall for those who are waiting as well as a TV. They also have an ATM, if you don't bring cash. My son loves this place, and so far every time we've come he's been more than happy with how his hair turns out. 5 star establishment if you ask me. If you have curly or Afro-textured hair, I wouldn't recommend coming here. They struggled with my haircut -- it took over 2 hours, and the barber didn't seem confident in what he was doing. He repeatedly went over the same spot, which irritated my scalp. When it came to cutting the top, it was uneven and frustrating. Honestly, I just wanted to get a buzz cut afterward to fix it. My younger brother, Alexis, desperately needed a hair cut. His hair is wavy straight and he's been trying to grow it out since May. It got too puffy for him and he asked for a haircut. Normally, our dad usually takes him to the a local hair salon. However, he's 17 and I wanted him to explore other options. I called to set up an appointment at Granada Square Barbers 2. I was greeted by Erik and he assisted us. I do not know anything about male hair cuts nor does my brother. Alexis has autism is very particular and asks a lot of questions. Erik has tremendous patience for him and I greatly appreciate that. After his hair cut Erik went into detail, explaining to Alexis, about what he did and why that haircut is great for his hair. They got a rotating cast of characters when it comes to who's behind the chair, but this new guy Giovanni, the blonde, probably takes the cake. My first contact with GSB2 was via phone when I called in inquiring about hair donations to organizations that make wigs for children battling cancer. I called and Giovanni answered. I explained that I had been searching online for organizations and barbers/salons that could help accomplish my goal. After discussing with him he said he would reach out to the owners and see what we could do. He decided to help out the cause and we would donate his expertise and my hair to Children With Hair Loss out of Michigan. Their requirements are a minimum of 8 inches of hair, I had 12 so Giovanni had me come in. I arrived and he welcomed me and we were both excited to make our contribution. We began with a hair cleanser to remove contaminants from the hair such as chlorine from water and others. He washed, massaged, and dried my hair. We then proceeded to his station to tie off all the bundles of hair required to be sent in tied separately from each other. I told him I wanted to donate the most hair possible and he was able to cut my hair down to the scalp and tied the strands together with rubber bands. While cutting my hair, he educated me on causes of various hair conditions and their treatments, he was very knowledgeable and informative. After cutting it all off and individually bundling each "pony-tail" he put the clean, dry, bundled hair into a bag for me to prepare to send out to Children With Hair Loss. "Gio" then offered to clean up my remaining hair so it wouldn't be a mess, he used clippers to clean it up and make it neat and presentable. Afterwards I met with the kind and lovely Claudia, one of the owners that made all of this possible by allowing the use of their amazing salon for a great cause. I thanked them for everything and left to complete the required form I found on the organizations website, followed the instructions and mailed it out. When I'm in need of a haircut, this is where I come. I used to go to the other location in Anaheim ( la Palma / state college) but it was some what far from my home. Then they opened this location which is way closer to me and been coming here ever since (approx. 2yrs). Francisco aka Cisco is who I always ask for and cuts my hair. He gives you the haircut style that you ask for to the point. There's other barbers who I see also do a good job( Rigo and Eddie). I do recommend to make an appoint via phone before showing up so you won't wait 45min to and hour. Cody cut my hair and asked me exactly what I wanted as he went along, and took his time to get the cut just right. My experience was this: In a hurry, did not walk to talk. Jose was my cutter. At first it seemed like he hated my guts and wanted to not be there but that wasn't the case. He spent about 27 minutes on a simple cut, granted my instructions were vague, but pretty specific. They all seem to give a s**t and that's important. I left in a hurry. Next day I was unhappy with the cut. Went back and Jose fixed it right up and now it's my favorite haircut ever. My work schedule is hectic, that's why spots like Granada square work so well for me. There's usually 5 or more barbers on deck, and they are all very capable. I recently got a cut from Giovanni aka "Gio", he was willing to take a risk and totally change my look for the better. I typically ask for a much shorter cut than I arrive with (2+ months between haircuts) so barbers often go too conservative, worried I'll be upset with loosing so much hair. This place sucks first time I went waited about an hour to an hour and a half, the person cutting my hair did a horrible job for what they charge. I went their again today, which is about 4 months since the last time and only because I needed to get my hair shorter since I work throughout the week and have had no time. This time I came early before they even opened up so I got their at 8:45 so I could beat the line because they "supposedly open at 9" I waited till 9:25 and still nobody showed up so I just said peace out. I've been taking my boys here for about 3 years. They both have special needs and occasionally still have a hard time sitting still. All the guys here understand that and are patient with them, and even if they are frustrated, you'd never know. They wlecome my sons by name and treat them like the little men they are growing into. This shop is always clean and everyone greets you as you walk in the door. Its like i have been coming here for years when in fact it's only been a couple of times. I followed my barber, Leo, from his last place to Granada Square #2 because he does such a consistently awesome job. He is quick, reliable, flexible but above all professional. Leo has been my barber for almost three years and I would follow him wherever he goes - he is that good! Pricing is reasonable $22 for an appointment and $20 for a walk in at the time of this post. I definitely recommend making an appointment because I have seen it get pretty busy even though they have a lot of chairs. Aside from the 1 bald barber who is the only one hustling, all the others are simply lazy, talking, on they're phone, or just lack the motivation. Waited over an hour for nothing. 1 guy was in and out getting food or a drink, came back to chit chat- 2 other barbers appear amateurs and only talk to each other while taking over and hour with the same client- simply unreal. I tried coming here on a couple of different occasions and each time was super busy. That's usually a good sign that people like what they get. Me always being in a rush never had an opportunity until I came mid-week in the late morning in hopes of not having to endure a long wait. Even then, there were a few people in line before me, but it was a much more manageable time. It's a no-frills barbershop and the guys cutting your hair are friendly. There isn't a lot of chit chat in between, just questions about how you want it cut, how high up and the shape to create in the back. I'm okay with that. In the end, I got a nice clean cut and it was super cheap. This place is cash only, but they have an ATM inside the shop. If you want to avoid any fees, just head over to 7-11 next door and pull out money with a transaction, much cheaper than paying those bank costs. I'll definitely be back. read more

I know there are really good reviews for this place but I am rating this place 1 out of 5 stars based on MY personal experience... I walked out of this place extremely dissatisfied! I wasn't happy with my sons haircut but more than anything I was not happy with how the situation was handled. My son is four years old, he doesn't cry or move around. He's really good at holding still, so I just want to point out that had nothing to do with his hair cut not coming out properly. After the barber was done cutting his hair my son walks towards me and I'm confused?? I see two parts/line off the side of his head. I had a concerned look on my face and I asked the barber "is his haircut supposed to look like that?" and he nodded his head and said no! And I asked him "what happened?" and he tried to blame the previous barber and that he/she didn't cut the line in the correct place! But when I looked at my son's head it looked like it was a fresh cut, down both parts, like it was just done and by accident. So rather than admitting he didn't do it right, he started pointing the finger to the previous barber which was getting me a little irritated. When I had never had issues with his haircut before. I told him " I am going to pay you for this haircut but I want you to know that I am extremely unhappy with how it came out!" and he just shrugged his shoulders and said all it needs to do is grow out! I paid $14 to have my son's hair cut messed up. I did see other people's haircuts and they seem to do a good job, but for some reason, my son's was not nice at all! read more

I like to get haircuts here and there when I do, I go here. Unfortunately that time has come to an end, as one of the guys that usually cuts my hair left me hanging. Disappointment. I waited 3 hrs to get a cut and it never happened. This happened about a week ago. I went in one Saturday after work around 1ish, packed as usual. I asked the guy that usually cuts my hair if he had anybody next and he said no, he'll get me after he is done with this customer. Cool I said. Went out to smoke a cig and grab a drink. He finished up the cut and proceeded to ask if I could wait because someone with an appointment walked in. Would have been nice to know that he had a possible appointment from the beginning. I said fine, I waited another hour and a half goes by. Sitting there waiting like a fool for this guy. Finally after 3 hours of waiting he is done. He sat me down asked what type of haircut I want and then asks if it's ok if I give him a minute. I said of course and he leaves the shop. Again waiting, 5 mins go by, 10 mins go by finally at the 15 min mark I got fed up. I got up and left. I will never get a cut by that guy again. I would drop names but I'm not going to do that .
