This is long overdue. Blvd Coffee has been my absolute favorite coffee shop for a few years now. Their quality & customer service just can't be matched! This place has heart and soul. Blvd Coffee is a family-owned coffee shop that uses organic & high quality coffee beans. Not only do their baristas know coffee well, but they're all super friendly. You can tell they enjoy what they do and care about the business & the customers. They have a ton of regulars too and you see the same faces each week- which is part of the charm! Another thing that is really special is that they have their own bakery. They make a variety of pastries, from muffins to scones to empanadas, and more! They make a few popular pastries that are always available and then a few new recipes each week! It is really fun to pop in every day to see what's new. Blvd has also shown that they're dedicated to supporting their community. They have supplied free coffee and baked goods to front line workers. I need my coffee and I got my coffee here. I was in town for a religious recollection at a church in the neighborhood, and then I realised: I've got 20 minutes and I haven't had my coffee. Coffee doesn't break Eucharistic fast, so I find these guys on Yelp. I come in, in greeted by the man behind the counter. He was pretty patient as I took a perusal of the board. I decided on a Café au Lait. I placed my order and received the coffee in a couple minutes. Full house and I received the coffee and was on my merry way. I truly wanted to like BLVD ...my first visit here and it made a nice impression when I walked in. If you're coming for just coffee and nice clean comfy atmosphere it's really quite nice. I came for breakfast however and won't be back. I ordered The Breakfast Plate which is described in the menu board as 2 eggs scrambled with vegetables topped with cheese avocado tomato and salsa. I also ordered a side of bacon. On the positive side the avocado and tomato were fresh and tasty. The eggs were so over cooked they were rubbery and tastes less. They basically cook them like a crepe which is not what I expect. Scrambled eggs should be light and fluffy and cooked soft. They offer a lot of other items such as sandwiches and crepes...their baked good looked appealing however those aren't items I can eat. In short if you're looking for a traditional breakfast of eggs I can't recommend. read more

Been here a few times while I was in the area. The crepes are great, but my favorite breakfast from here has to be the special bagel. Love the lemon sauce and cucumber avo combo. Refreshing and light! I tried the cold brew with some vanilla and cream and it was also delicious. The vanilla syrup didn't overpower the bitter tones of the coffee like they can at most mainstream coffee chains. My sis tried the coffee with butter (bulletproof) and she liked it as well. It was a bit too rich for her taste though. I will be back. The atmosphere here is nice and friendly, they don't play music too loud either so it would be a nice place to get some work done. read more

I loved this place! I wanted coffee and a small breakfast but larger than what Starbuck's has to offer so I found Blvd Coffee. Great atmosphere and a decent amount of seating. Had turkey spinach breakfast crepe. I just don't eat crepes often, however this one changed my creperspective hehe and was delicious! Cafe Americano was great as well and friendly staff. The only thing I would say is it seemed a bit more like $$ not $, but I don't eat crepes often so that's arguable. I don't mean it's not a good value though, and I understand that it is in Los Gatos. Fantastic coffee; tried the Cubano espresso as per an earlier reviewers suggestion & it did not disappoint. However, the veggie omelette plate they served, while tasty, gave me a near-immediate stomachache (to be fair that's my correlation, not factual causation) and there was a big group of what appeared to be regulars that monopolized the interior sound level. To sum up, definitely a competitor to nearby Philz in the coffee department, but skip the food and don't expect to keep your mental focus here. read more

This review is LONG overdue. My friend brought my here one morning instead of our normal Philz run. I can say from the first coffee, I was hooked. Everyone here is incredibly nice, the vibe is super relaxed, so it feels like an awesome coffee spot. More so, the coffee is unreal. I never really thought there was a difference in coffees, so I had not issue sticking with Philz or Starbucks. I've had some other local coffee shops but wasn't blown away - with Blvd Coffee, their Latte is amazing and I have not gone to another coffee shop since. My first punch card is already full!!! Their food is also spectacular. Their Paganini Panini is so good and again, everyone who works there is friendly and patient. I am all about this place!!!! I really love it when a locally owned business is a super hero in the neighborhood. Blvd is one of those heroes. The place was packed and the wait was totally worth it. They have a Cuban coffee to die for. What I really liked about this place is that it brings the community together and gives it that small town feel. It makes you want to be there unlike the big chain stores where you can't wait to leave. My only regret was not being able to try different items on the menu. I can't wait to get back up to Nor. When one comes to Los Gatos, they need to be prepared. If you are woman, you must look like you have just been coiffed at the salon, on your way to your reformer pilates class in your lululemon attire and what is quite possibly a surgically modified body. You may or may not have a stroller in tow. You probably drive a car that is worth more than my gross annual salary. If you are a man, you produce all of the above- surgery, car, salon, child (hopefully your own from a single woman). I exhibited none of the above, just having come from my kickass FUSE workout with my sweaty hair and beatup car. I really need to take that last plastic hubcap off. The other 3 naked wheels are starting to get resentful. in any case, an iced latte is an iced latte, it's hard to screw it up. What's great was the staff- super friendly and fast. Sometimes with the local places they are so slow you wonder if they have to go to Costa Rica to get the coffee bean to make your latte (although if they do, I want them to take me). With good prices and a Yelp deal for checking in (which I didn't redeem at the time), you can't go wrong to stop here before you try to make your way over 17. Just comb your hair first. I get better service at Peet's. Last time I came here for breakfast and felt compelled to leave a review to warn others as everything is microwaved/reheated. Was not expecting or wanting that. I don't remember the coffee being better or worse than other coffee shops Ive been at. While I'm a regular coffee drinker, I'm no coffee connoisseur nor barista, so forgive my use of laymen's terminology here. If you prefer a roast of coffee that's smooth and rich versus bold, smoky, or acidic, then whatever roast they're using is the one for you. Either that or I've been getting a lot of scorched drinks from other establishments and hadn't realized it because a) it had caffeine therefore it was all good by me and b) I'm an admitted amateur. Creamy, smooth, rich, warm, comforting?? Notes of blackberry and oak?? I don't really know the proper descriptors, but here's the one that matters: delicious. I'm not sure where the negative customer service feedback is coming from. We all have off days. I guess you just can't win em' all. I have always received the kindest and most helpful customer service I could ask for when I'm there. Here's a great example: after they made me a slightly warm (can't be too hot or cold!) with only a few drops of vanilla (can't load em' up on sugar!), soy (can't have dairy w/ a raging head cold!) milk for my very particular 4 year old friend who proceeded to spill 3/4 of his "vanilla steamer" on the floor, they very kindly offered to mop it up and make another drink while also making me feel like they honestly did not mind one bit. Great customer service? Nailed it! Added bonus: they offer soy, rice, coconut, almond & lactose free milk options for those who can't have dairy. read more

Stopped in here today in seach of a good cup of coffee. There's a small espresso bar up front with stools and a few small tables along the opposite wall. Drip coffee is self serve, which i'm not a fan of,but the SF dark roast was decent, although not as dark as i would have imagined. Snagged that and a ham, egg, & cheese on a poppy bagel for five and change after tax. the place feels somewhat sterile, although there seemed to be a good crowd of regular los gatos ladies, on the barstools, all of whom knew the owner(?) running the espresso bar. I'd mark this place good for kids as well, since there's a chest of toys and a small carpeted area in the back of the store with a small loveseat. Good alternative to chain coffee stores for a quick cup, but i wouldn't make it a destination coffee spot. Tucked away in the Los Gatos Village Square Plaza. read more

This review is ONLY for the coffee. 1 Star for the coffee! The second star is for friendly service... I have not had any of the food here...just a black cup of coffee that was not good at all. Weak and watery and yet tasted burnt somehow... just not good. I should have had an espresso drink perhaps...my partner got a small latte and seemed to like it but he puts a ton of sugar in his coffee drinks so I dont really trust his coffee judgement. All I know is that if you have the word coffee in your business name, please brew a tasty cup of strong coffee for the purists. My new find and a great one! Loved the Mexican mocha and the regular too! They use Ghirardelli chocolate and you can taste it the moment you sip it! It's unlike the other mocha drinks I've tried. It's quite cozy on the inside, not too loud if you want to read a book or work a little. I also tried their breakfast; egg and cheese croissant, nicely toasted and easy to bite in. I want to try their crepes, the place was filled with the aroma of Nutella, maybe next time! I have to make a special mention about their service, the staff is really nice, they confused my order with a bagel and brought it but without any hesitance took it right back, came back to apologize and got the correct order! This place is really cozy and has a lot of outlets and comfortable couches to lounge in. I highly recommend getting the Mexican mocha. It wasn't too sweet and gave me a nice jolt of energy for the rest of the day. I had the breakfast plate $8 for my meal and also they had gluten free toast which was great for me:). I used my yelp check in offer for 25% off. The staff was very friendly and also the other customers. In addition to having breakfast they also have crepes and sandwiches. I have been going to this coffee shop for 10 years. The coffee is awesome and the service is unbelievable. You do not need to tell Umberto - the owner what you want; you can just say the usual and your drink will come right up. I guess that's what happens when all the baristas there know each one of their customers by name. This coffee shop is like a community center where you meet up with your old friends, exchange news and find whatever help you need.
