I really don't like giving one-star reviews. In fact, I try very hard to find any redeeming qualities to give at least a 2 star review, but Auzzy The Bear was beyond salvation. Do note that this review was from the result of only getting the froyo. The frozen yogurt at Auzzy was bad. Inedibly bad. Over priced goop that doesn't taste like the description--although the double chocolate was passable. The flavors were very artificial and tasted a far cry from the labels. It truly made me miss Yogurtland and I almost wanted to find a Yogurtland and go there and then. The toppings were old. You could tell from The chocolate chips when they all have that gray hazy over them--the old chocolate film. They peanut butter chocolates were all stuck together. The other items, pretty bad. Then, they try to pass marshmallows for "mochi". When I asked the guy up front, he said they're just old. No, bro, they're quite soft and look nothing like mochi--mochi gets hard when it's old--but thanks for admitting what I suspected, that many, if not all, of your toppings are stale. Also, thanks for lying to me. $8 for a cup was pretty expensive (mind you we got almost no toppings). At this lack of quality, irredeemable. We didn't finish our yogurt. read more

I've been to this adorable Cafe a handful of times and it's ALWAYS impressed me! I swear they have so many drink options, I can never taste everything! As you walk into the shop, there's a kiosk with a touchscreen you can order from or, if you like me and you like talking to people, there's always somebody behind the register you can order from as well. I know on the weekends they get a little busy, so the person might be in the back, but just go to the touchscreen and you can always get your order Handled that way. They also changed their frozen yogurts, seasonally I'm guessing, since they changed between winter and spring, but they always have delicious flavors! I always like the vast amount of toppings they offer as well!! The decor and ambience is very clean and modern style with comfortable chairs and a clean polish look! Perfect for taking pictures and a lot of sunlight, natural sunlight. I hate going into certain restaurants and all they have are neon halogen bulbs that honestly give me headaches. You definitely will not get that here! They also have a cute little Park. You could sit in outside with a shaded area for your puppies. I brought my two dogs and we did a little hike down the trail and came over here to cool off with some ice cream and lunch. I want to try all of their different Boba drinks and the different Boba or jelly flavors. Next time I will definitely have to try one of the smoothies since twice now I've accidentally ordered the same delicious passionfruit tea and thought it was a smoothie. I ordered the strawberry banana smoothie and I think it's tastes odd. The smoothie has the aftertaste of one of those protein drinks. The description of the drink on door dash doesn't mention protein powder so it's a little weird. Also doesn't taste like it's made with "freshly picked ripe strawberries and bananas" as advertised either. They also didn't give me the correct bahn mi I ordered. I was supposed to get grilled chicken, it looks way different and I don't eat pork so I'm not even going to risk it. The image of this sandwich compared to the other from another review is vastly different. This leads me to think there isn't much quality control when it comes to customer service and for the price of 17.99 I don't think that's very good. The bread also feels really hard. Not like a good fresh crisp, like a too hard to bite almost. I don't eat pork so I won't be trying it but compared to other places this is disappointing. read more

Ambiance is nice and modern - loved the setup of the wooden tables and chairs, and cool light fixtures. For the price, I was expecting it to be made with real fruit but I highly doubt there was anything real in it - no strawberry seeds whatsoever and it had an odd, artificial taste to it. We tried the Berry and Oreo flavors and unfortunately, those also tasted very artificial. It's possible I just picked the wrong flavors to try. We decided to try the place because we wanted smoothies and there were no jamba juices nearby. $35 for 3 smoothies. The cups they give you have a sort of rounded bottom and the lids don't seal properly. They did not seed the cups in the drink holder at all so when we went to put the smoothies in the car they all tipped over and smoothie got all over the car, my husband, and toddler. He went back inside and told them what happened. They weren't willing to make him new smoothies and charged him full price for 3 new ones. On the way home after that, a lid popped off of one of the smoothies and spilled all down the center console and seat. 1 star for the poor cup structure and the place not having the grace or kindness to remake the smoothies. $70 spent in total for three mediocre smoothies. read more

The people who work there are friendly and responsive. I haven't tried their other food offerings, but they look good. The ambiance is very nice; the inside is clean with an airy feel from the high ceilings and the location is situated in one of my favorite little corners of Los Gatos. We were staring at the menu for a good 5 minutes before deciding on their Vietnamese coffee. I got the Coconut Coffee! This is a blended coconut slush topped with Vietnamese espresso. This drink wasn't really what I was expecting. The coconut flavor was strong, (which I liked) but it seemed like they used a syrup of some kind to sweeten it, so it was WAY TOO SWEET. I came here on a Saturday evening and it was pretty quiet. The ambiance inside the cafe is pretty nice. It's a nice place to chill. The workers were really friendly. However the drinks were a HUGE disappointment, especially for the price. I would say the prices are pretty expensive, which is expected for the area but it's definitely not worth it for the quality. Their Vietnamese coffee was good but their other drinks were not good. The mango piña colada was way too sweet. The lavender matcha latte was also 90% milk and 10% matcha. My first time visiting Auzzy The Bear and my friends and Ioved it! We got the Egg Vietnamese Coffee, the classic Vietnamese Coffee and the Mango on Mango Time. The Vietnamese Coffee had a delicious flavor that was perfectly balanced with thw condensed milk, making the drink not bitter at all. The egg coffee gave the Vietnamese coffee a fluffier and creamer texture on top of everything else. Both great iced drinks that gave a boost after a fun brunch. Finally, the Mango on Mango tea was a light a refreshing drink that was balanced with sweetness and was perfect for the summer heat. We ended up getting some sandwiches to go as well. The Grilled pork Banh MI didn't have as strong of a flavor that I am used to for a Vietnamese sandwich, but the meat was well seasoned and very tender, while the pickled vegetables gave the sandwich some crunchy texture and a refreshing balance. I really enjoyed that the bread was very soft and airy. They atmosphere was so calm and relaxing. My sister got some frozen yogurt and it was absolutely delicious. At the Los Gatos location, it was nice and thick. Not liquidly at all. We also got the Matcha Boba with Lavender and Rose foam and they both taste amazing! The boba was nice and squishy on the outside but hard on the inside. The building itself really warm right when you enter the cafe, so not much AC/ventilation going on. I ordered the Vietnamese Egg Coffee. The egg topping is pretty light, which was good but the coffee base itself was okay. I think this was more like a fun drink rather than an energizing drink. It was a little far from where I was going but the photos on Yelp made me want to see it in person! There's not that much parking near the shop, except maybe street parking. Luckily I was able to find some street parking about a block away and just had to walk a little bit to the shop. I guess I came at a bad time due to the great weather, it was difficult to find parking. When I walked inside the shop, I really liked the interior decoration and the options of treats that they had! Other than drinks, they had some pastries, sandwiches, even frozen yogurt! But I came here for some Vietnamese coffee! The lady who was taking and fulfilling orders was really nice, she was also super friendly and quick with orders! She was making a sandwich for the customer ahead of me and the customer had mentioned how much he loved his drink! This made me even more excited for my drinks. I ordered one iced Vietnamese coffee and one iced Vietnamese egg coffee. Both the Vietnamese coffee and both drinks were pretty good, but not as strong like we're used to. I really liked the egg coffee! I've always been a fan of egg cream and glad that it's becoming more popular in the Bay Area. I recommend people coming here, especially on a really nice day. This place is the most cutest cafe I've stepped in! They serve froyo, tea drinks/boba and small bites. Prices are very reasonable and actually cheaper than most cafes over. They also have a deal going if you buy a banh mi you get $2 off a drink or a free soda :) The banh mi was so soft and it had plenty of veggies which makes the perfect quick bite. The strawberry matcha latte was delicious although it's not as strong as I'd like it to be. Still the drink was good and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The is a lovely dessert shop in downtown Los Gatos, bright and modern, with an inviting atmosphere. We got some frozen yogurt to enjoy in the indoor seating on a warm Sunday afternoon (they have an outdoor patio too), and a couple smoothies to go. The Pink Delight strawberry smoothie and Avocado smoothie were fairly light in terms of flavor and sweetness, but still good. They had about 8 flavors of self serve froyo available, offering options for many dietary preferences (fat free, gluten free, sugar free, dairy free, vegan), and tons of toppings and sauces, including fresh fruit, cupcake bites, candy, mochi, rainbow jelly, and more. For froyo, the vegan, dairy-free double chocolate was decent, but I preferred the cookies & cream, which tasted more like chocolate to me with the mix of flavors. The strawberry lemonade was delightful, pretty much sorbet with a nice balance of sweet and tart to satisfy your tastebuds. The toppings were fresh and colorful (we tried a random combination of items, and they were all very good). And the color-changing spoons added a nice touch. Sweet treats aren't exactly healthy, but I appreciate that Auzzy the Bear tries to offer some healthier options and ingredients. This place has potential because the location is amazing in Los Altos. But the froyo is pretty gross. Half of the machines spurted out liquid. Palatable ones were slushy and icy, not creamy at all. I'm not going to totally count them out yet, as I do think downtown LG needs a place like this, but there did seem to be some execution mistakes in what we ordered. We came in on an early Sunday afternoon to try a drink and banh mi combo. I ordered the creme brulee latte with boba and sub'd with oat milk, plus the chicken banh mi with everything on it. The creme brulee latte was okay, but overwhelmingly sweet. And the boba was super disappointing. Tasted day old, had no bounce/chew, was just a gloppy mess. The banh mi was good, but felt like it was missing something. Perhaps more pickled vegetables and a little more butter/mayo? I did like the bread texture, and the pate they included was light enough to add some flavor, but did not overpower the chicken meat. Although there weren't many customers in the store itself, they were fairly busy with a lineup of orders. The decor was nice, but it was a bit warm inside, even on a mild day, and the service counter did feel a bit busy and less welcoming. Didn't see the yogurt machines up and running, but perhaps it's still getting incorporated. Perhaps the specialty coffee is the way to go, but I'll save that for next time. read more

They do not take the tare (subtract package weight) on self-serve ice cream so you are paying for the weight of the (very large) cup along with your ice cream. The Dept of Weights and Measures should issue a fine. I wish they had the plastic seal on the cup when you order boba. It comes with a dome cover full of air. Just doesn't feel like authentic boba. The seating area is inviting, I like how it is decorated. Music is good. No AC. Staff is always sweet and very friendly and helpful. I have mixed thoughts about my visit to Auzzy the Bear. My husband and I wanted to try something new and saw this place in Downtown Los Gatos. When you walk in, it's beautiful! It's definitely upscale and has a fancy vibe. We got our bowls and I went in to try the taro coconut. When I started the machine, liquid came out in the texture of a drink. I tried again, but no luck. I told the guy at the front and he said it's not ready and put an out of order sign on it. I was so bummed as I wanted that flavor combination. Anyways I settled for double chocolate and vanilla with an array of toppings like almonds, Mochi, peanut butter cups, coconut, coconut jelly, etc. The toppings variety was just okay and they only had one fruit (strawberry) but a lot more jellies. Also they only had two sauces- caramel and chocolate. The taste was nice but I prefer yogurtland over this place. Overall, just an okay experience. Auzzy The Bear's spot is a quaint and cozy little dessert store that really nicely finishes off a meal you've probably had nearby. I'm not sure where the juice and smoothie bar is coming in since I only saw Froyo, but it was a nice setup. It's clear they're putting quite a lot of effort into everything from the warm welcomes from staff to the smaller touches like seasonal decorations, thorough labeling, and color-changing-spoons! Only unfortunate thing is we weren't aware they even did sampling cups for their froyo, which definitely would have improved our experience had we known (we weren't quite 100% satisfied with our choices). Yogurt options are self-serve and priced on a weight basis, inclusive of all the toppings you might throw on ($0.73/oz when we were there). Their toppings bar is actually pretty high up as far as quality goes; their mochi is really remarkably fresh and chewy and the peanut butter and jelly chunks had a nice texture to them. Even had popping boba and jelly mixes, so quite a selection. I noticed their signage on front isn't quite up to date with what they had indoors so there might be some differences on flavor availability. Either way, pay close attention to their labels as not all of the options are actually yogurt (see vegan labels) or have other aspects that might not line up with your tastes. In particular the fruitier flavors my brother got had an unusual after-taste and didn't have as much volume as preferred...and it turns out those were the fat-free ones he got. I was happier with my sea-salt and caramel selection as they did manage a remarkably creamy texture without cream, but did have something of an after-taste as well (though I'm just a bit sensitive as far as textures and sweetners goes). The flavor selection doesn't quite mesh entirely with my preferences, but it's clear they're putting in the effort for the little things and I do appreciate that. If you're looking for a quality froyo treat, give this shop a try out. If anything you can keep the cold-temp color changing spoon for future funsies. :) read more

Went here since I found Groupon while wondering around after Los Gatos Art & Wine Festival at the Civic Center. Price for the basic boba drink is pretty reasonable at $5-6 but it adds up quickly. We ordered the dragonfruit fusion has pretty strong tea flavor. Less sweet was perfect but still lots of ice still for even less ice. Kiddos want their froyo even though it's more on the icy side. An ambient place in Los Gatos downtown. As a big fan of Vietnamese coffee, I can say their coffee - especially mind-blowing EGG coffee is the best ever. The egg foam is just beyond words! The drinks are way too sweet. No matter how much I mixed the drink, the syrup for the brown sugar and cinnamon latte settled to the bottom. Not sure if the milk was spoiled, but my boyfriend did not feel very good after drinking his coffee and threw up an hour later. My sister also threw up later in the day. I asked for a decaf latte, and I'm so sure they made it with caffeine because I drank the drink at 12pm, and it's not 2am and I still cannot sleep. A terrible mistake for them to make if a person cannot have any caffeine whatsoever. read more
