Visit this place on a Saturday. NO Lines and we were surprised so we walked straight to the counter. As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry, Customer service was HORRIBLE: Not one single person greeted us while the baristas were chopping it up with one another and having side conversations like it was high school. We were left standing there for a while with no help when there were plenty of employees... Cashier with pink hair was rude during our transaction. No one communicate about the LONG wait while they all focused on door dash orders, while we saw an employee just standing there doing NOTHING, but talk... They kept prioritizing door dash (there were 8+ drinks just sitting at the counter waiting to be picked up when we entered) and we were the only customer inside waiting for just ONE cup of iced coffee (coffee was so bad and such a waste of money). There is no balance to accommodate walk in customers?? Baristas couldn't even provide or offer lids to an elderly woman that was struggling to carry her coffee so I offered to grab her lids and helped. Where is the integrity?? Had a very disappointing experience and we will continue to stick to the Saratoga location. read more

I love this location! I ordered their seasonal salted butterscotch cold brew and it was absolutely delicious! Some locations aren't consistent with sugar levels, but the los gatos team has always been consistent with my drinks. They have a pretty big parking lot and I have never had an issue finding a spot. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating if you need to get work done. This Philz still has the cozy and personalized feeling to its ambience, which lacks in the newer modern stores that are opening up. All the workers and barista's have been super sweet! Ky, who is the store lead of this location, was super helpful and sweet when taking my order. I had a very positive interaction with Ky and his baristas, making small talk that seemed genuine that truly made my day. Having a good team of baristas truly makes it an amazing experience for a customer and brightens up their day! This location continues to disappoint. I just happen to come here after my doctor appointments AND order ahead for hopes that I won't wait as long... but I am actually waiting LONGER than people ordering in store. I placed my order at 10:47 and got my order at 11:19. Two women placed in store orders about 15-20 min into me waiting for mine and got their drinks before me. Once I saw them get their drinks, I went up to the baristas and asked how much longer for my order. It was 11:16 when I checked the time. The barista said, "oh I have it right here! Going to start making your drinks now!" Uhhh really? You kidding me? I placed the order at 10:47 and they didn't start making it until 11:16? And you're telling me it only takes 3 minutes to make the drinks because they were magically ready by 11:19??? Make it make sense. read more

Solid Philz location, lots of foot traffic on weekends. I gave their seasonal pistachio drink a try and honestly, it was not bad but it was not as good as their regular menu. They were also out of cinnamon so that might have contributed to the overall taste, but the pistachio flavor was overly sweet to me and tasted a bit artificial, so I would stick to the regular Philz drinks next time. Staff was quite busy all around, but the cashier bounced between prepping food and taking orders -- if you can, I recommend mobile ordering to avoid the wait in person, although most drinks still took longer than the app-quoted time to come out, so give them extra buffer for wait time. Not too much seating at this location, but there is some inside and some outside. Still a solid Philz location, will be back, but for a more classic Philz coffee drink. read more

Along with counter seating. The baristas here are friendly and polite. *Yuzu Twist Lemon Tea -initially yuzu caught my attention. Though paired with lemonade diminishes the subtlety of the yuzu. Been coming here and getting the same order since their iykyk ordering system, and I get this almost 3x a week whenever I'm back in the area. Get the off-the-menu "oatmeal cookie", hot. Medium creamy, sweet sugar. Parking here definitely has more space than the Campbell/Pruneyard location, but the lot can be busy on weekends, whereas the Pruneyard location has overflow street parking options. There aren't as many indoor tables as the Pruneyard location, but there are a handful if you can snag it in time! read more

Came here around 11am on a Tuesday. We didn't feel the warmth and welcome we typically get at a Philz. There were about 3 baristas working and no one in line when we got there. As we approached the register there wasn't anyone present, all we heard was someone yell out that they'd be a moment. We waited about a minute, no biggie. Ordered our usual, iced mint mojito. It took a normal amount of time to make, but we didn't hear our names called. We just so happened to glance over and see the drinks on the counter with our names on them. It wasn't too busy inside either, though all the seats were taken by customers working, studying or chatting with friends. Not sure why it felt so off. We typically go to the Philz on Bascom in Campbell so I think we'll stick to that one. read more

Philz is in my top two favorite chain coffee shops because the chocolate they use is not chalky like some of the big chains use. My wife and I stop here whenever we come over the hill from Santa Cruz. My go to drink is an iced Mocha Tesora. It's made with dark chocolate, caramel, and cocoa. It's definitely a sweet drink so keep that in mind if you order it. The only downside to Philz and/or this location is that the wait in the morning for your drink to be made can be long. read more

I used to not be a fan of Philz. However, as it turns out, I was ordering the wrong drink for my tastes. I ordered the Honey Haze and now I'm addicted. As a lover of healthier options, the honey and oat milk combo was right up my alley and with the ability to tweak the creaminess and sweetness level, my drink came out perfectly suited to my taste. I went into Philz and had a great talk with the workers and had an amazing coffee but while I was waiting for my coffee I felt very stuffy and hot. I asked about the heat during the talk and the worker told me their AC has been broken for three weeks! He said the fan they had one was reading the room temperature to be 86! It was already hot today but I wasnt able to sit in the Philz and enjoy my coffee because it was so stiffy. I'm disappointed Philz isn't helping their baristas get out of that workspace. read more

Great spot to get some good coffee and have a nice place to get some work done. The service is great. They take orders in person and on mobile so it's very convenient to place an order with your customizations and pick it up when it's ready. There are a few tables and plenty of outlets which is great for getting work done. They also have a parking lot in which I haven't had issues finding parking. read more

My fave Philz location! I've been to other Philz locations in the bay area and also San Diego, but it was never as good as this one. I always order the iced Philtered Soul, and I buy the beans to make cold brew at home too. It's so addicting, can never get enough. Right now, they have seasonal drinks so I've been getting the iced Spiced Vanilla Soul with Medium sugar and it's the perfect amount of sweetness and so cozy for fall. I also love their Caramel Banana Brew but it's on the sweeter side so I always get light banana caramel sauce. It has a nice hint of banana flavor but not overwhelming. I get either one of these drinks at least once a week. I love that you can download the app and order in advance. You can also specify a pick up time, and it's always ready when I arrive at the time I specify. The staff has always been sweet and welcoming every time I come in to pick up my coffee. Ashamed to say as a Bay Area native that this was my time at a Philz, this is the closest location to my place and I love it! I ended up ordering the Mint Mojito and my friend got a Mission Cold Brew and kouign amann. I didn't know what I was missing out on until now!! The service was fast and there is a lot of seating inside and outside. Lots of parking in the lot nearby, really convenient to get to. The pastries here are mouthwatering and pair well with the coffee. Just wish they had a selection of savory/salty pastries that nullify the sweetness, regular was more than enough for me. read more

The good: I've never been disappointed by a Philz drink. I got the rose iced latte and enjoyed it. There is a big outdoor area here so it's great for lounging around and catching up with friends The interior has a lot of communal style seating areas. Service here was super quick. I came during pride month so they had a giant rainbow flag to show their support. They sell local art here. The bad: You have to park across the street. I recall at the other locations they ask you to take a sip first to ensure that you like it before you leave. The guy here didn't do that. The interesting: This is the 4th Philz I've tried and definitely the "homiest" feeling one. There were lots of folks studying/working inside and it had a local feel with all of the local signs, art, advertisements, etc. The rose has an accent mark on the e the way the pink wine does but I am pretty sure the rose latte is flower-flavored (right?). They offer a coffee subscription plan. Philz started in SF but they have locations outside CA now. I recall my Canadian cousin wanting to try this place because YouTuber Emma Chamberlain frequented it (in LA/SF) a lot. read more

Nice location, and Phillz is very good coffee, my only concern is no matter what I enter into the app for cream amount, it always seems to be barely a splash, even when I added special instructions, it was barely a splash of cream. Today I gave up and just got a large black and took it home to doctor myself, but that kind of negates the luxury of paying someone to make you a nice cup of coffee. I've been a fan of Philz for a while--their coffee blends are unique, the vibe is great, and the customization is unmatched. But if there's one consistent thing I've noticed across multiple visits (and locations), it's that the coffee is never hot. Not warm. Not piping. Just... lukewarm. From what I understand, this is likely due to their aeration step, where they pour the coffee between cups before serving. While it might help cool the drink to a "drinkable" temp, it ends up feeling like it skips "hot" altogether. When I order hot coffee, I kind of expect it to actually be hot--especially when compared to places like Starbucks, where the temperature is definitely hot enough to stay warm for a while. At Philz, your drink will pretty much be lukewarm right when it's handed to you, and within 10-15 minutes, it's basically cold (even if you haven't touched it). Again, I love Philz and this isn't a dealbreaker for me personally--but it's something I think more people should know going in. If you're expecting a cozy, steaming hot cup of coffee, just know that it'll probably be more on the "cool" side of things unless you specifically ask for it to be made hotter. read more
