I was going to give this place 3 stars, but then our server lied to us about forgetting our food at the end :( I came in with a group of 6 people around 4:45 and we had to leave by 5:50. Some of us ordered food right away while others were still looking at the menu. I ordered teriyaki wings which came out in 10 minutes, along with other apps people ordered. The group members that waited to order till later (5:00) were sitting until 5:35 with no food when the server came by and said "I just remembered you ordered food, it's gonna be a 15 minute wait". We asked how long it would take because we needed to leave and then the server came back after asking the kitchen and said "well, you ordered after a rush so there are a lot of tickets ahead of you" ?????? He already told us he forgot, and then tried to blame it on us???? Also, the wings I ordered were so dry and had no sauce on it, it was like I was eating unseasoned chicken tenders for $17. Horrible experience and would not recommend going here. read more

I've been to BLVD many times and I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed it yet. I know this place is a mixed bag based on the reviews, but this place really has some great things going for it. They have some decent happy hour specials, a small-ish but decent selection of beers on tap, weekend brunch with a Bloody Mary bar, and honestly some really fantastic burgers here. Service is generally good although this place can get very busy and a little chaotic. I never use them, but they do have pool and darts if that is your thing. They also have a covered patio, which is nice. Overall, BLVD is a nice place to grab a bite and a drink. It's a bar, so the later in the evening it gets, the busier this place gets. Just like any busy place, service gets a little more spotty sometimes the busier it gets. It gets particularly frustrating on week nights when it is busy and they don't have a host seating people. If you order take-out from this place and no one is hosting, it's a nightmare to try to get your food. You have to try going to the bar, flagging down the bartender, and waiting for your food. For carry out, the wait times are generally longer than expected. Last time I ordered I was told 35 minutes, but I waited close to an hour. I frequently see Doordash drivers with long waits for food. That being said, they really have some really well-cooked burgers. If you order it medium, it usually comes out that way and their burgers are very juicy. Hot tip - get the Blvd seasoning on their fries, which is the signature rub on their wings. It makes their fries extra tasty. Overall, their food is generally pretty good depending on the time of day. Be wary of the takeout times if you call in an order later in the evening. Same thing with service. Still, they do make a pretty mean burger or a tasty brunch. read more

The "Pandemic" really influenced us a lot and we saw so many places just not make it. We put eating out on hold as most did....But we would venture out from time-to-time...The Blvd was different and not only survived but expanded....and we ate there. To be honest I have only been here for lunch but let me tell you it has always been great. I warn you...I am not a fan of their fries at all (but I don't really like fries that much anyway). However, there is something about their tots, it is hard to put my finger on it...for me they are always perfect, nothing like the Ore-Ida you put on your hotdish at home. Wednesdays are a special day and the special are their are hamburgers! - just delicious. I can't order anything other than a hamburger on Wednesdays. I have had the Cobb salad for lunch (not Wednesdays)....also superb, I love their spin on this classic. Plenty of grilled chicken and avocado. But...I have to say I miss one of the special items they no longer have, the Cuban short ribs - they were fantastic. Please bring them back? read more

This place was just Ok. Had a good bar food atmosphere to watch a game but somethings were just too "apple-bees-y". We ordered the pretzel as an appetizer and it was likely the best thing about the experience--which isn't a good sign. Entrees ...we had burger and buffalo Mac and cheese. Well, to be honest, the burger doesn't stand out. The Mac and cheese was, and don't quote me on this, a 90% chance of being box Kraft Mac and Cheese all dressed up with too much makeup. With that said, the makeup did taste good, as it should. Server was way too abrupt, lacked emotion, and not very polite. She did smile near the end when I took out my American Express. My friends and I decided to have a few drinks and food here on Halloween night. This place has a pool table and two dart boards. They also have a jukebox that you can pay and select music from. For food, I had the dry rubbed wings and a house salad, both good! The service was great, our server was new and did a great job at getting our orders. We ordered the walleye fingers, wild rice soup, American tacos, chimichanga, teriyaki bowl and cheesecake. All of these dishes were great! The only disappointment was the fries which were served under the walleye. They didn't look like they were very fresh. They were not crispy but rather greasy and some were limp. The rest were ok. Our waitstaff was excellent! I did mention that this was a first visit for my friend so our server was very friendly, obliging and helpful in taking our order. When we had mentioned the fries, she offered to exchange them but by that time we were pretty much finished eating. Otherwise we couldn't have asked for better service! The ambiance was fine. We were seated in a booth in the bar area. I wish we would have sat further away from all the other people having loud conversations but that's to be expected in most bar scenes. When we first arrived I didn't see any booths in the dining area, which appeared to be vacant, and we had to seat ourselves after waiting for a host. Local bar and grill with plenty of TV's to watch sports, etc. Everything we've eaten here has been delicious, although often a bit saltier than we'd like. It's not cheap, but is reasonable considering the amount of food you get. We haven't had any issues with long waits or cold food like some of the other people. We have ordered to-go and that was a good experience as well. The food was ready when they said, it was hot and delicious. We are locals and will be back for sure. read more

I used to think the most of this place until tonight. Tonight was awful and management and staff didn't care. They were rude and unapproachable. My brother and I walked in we notice the place was busy so we basically said never mind to the host but another older woman came and told us we can sit at the other bar. So we go to the other bar, the bartender ignores us until he stop stacking items. So we ordered as soon as are food arrive we was able to take one bite before we was told to move. First we herd the woman rudely tell the bartender we had to move. without trying to find us a table we was told to pick up our food and move to the other room. we go to the other room it's no available tables. Luckily for us these two gentlemen allowed us to sit with them while the rest of the group was playing darts. the rest of the group came back loud and spitting on out towards our food. We had our check but every waiter dismissed us and just plain rude. One that I did know just told me to go to the back and pay for our food, remind you we been trying to pay for over 20 minutes now. I go back and was rudely yelled at for trying to pay. Wow that was the worst experience I've ever had there. I used to love the place eat there over 10 times now. read more

If I were just rating brunch I say four stars, if I were just rating dinner I say three stars. I've been here for brunch and dinner now and I will say I do prefer brunch because they give you waiting bread. Not just ordinary waiting bread; they give you a small chunk of monkey bread!! I really enjoyed the chilaquiles I ordered. Someone in my party ordered the smoked salmon and bagel and that was awesome looking because they serve it all deconstructed. My dinner experience was a positive one but I did go with a group of 14 so that may be why we didn't get quite as attentive of service from the staff. Lots of variety on the menu which is good to please everyone. Definitely on the pricier side. I split the short rib pasta and it was almost enough to feed two. Admittedly it was kind of disappointing because I envisioned an Alfredo sauce and was surprised by a barbecue flavored sauce. The bartender did a great job making a cocktail I specifically requested but it was served in an abnormally small glass. Overall it's a cute casual place- go for the monkey bread!! Blvd is better know for their excellent pizza but I highly recommend the Buffalo Chicken Sliders. Four large pieces of breaded chicken breast with just the right amount of buffalo sauce, all this on a small toasted buns. This blue cheese sauce has a terrific taste with real chunks of cheese, not too sharp, just enough to cool the buffalo sauce. Atmosphere is local but inviting. There are 2 pool tables and a couple of dart boards. On the weekends they often have a DJ. If your in the mood for good sport bar-ish food and a chill no worries atmosphere try out Blvd read more

If you're not going to allow orders in apps like doordash, please reflect that in the app. If you're closing kitchen early, due to staffing (which is understandable), then you should still accept orders 1/2 hour before that time. Wish I could say something good about the food, but due to their poor customer service, wasn't even able to order anything, and the gentleman who answered the phone when I called to find out why the order was canceled with out an explanation didn't even offer that I place the order for pick up. We stopped here before a movie and after an eyebrow raise when we arrived (somebody give those poor waitresses a cardigan, it is Minnesota in December!) we found the menu a little bit interesting. The chicken and waffles with sriracha butter was pretty exciting for my 13 year old! The overall vibe was a depressed drinking mans bar, not a family restaurant. No kids in the place at 6 pm on Friday. We probably won't be back, but it was not a bad experience. read more

We were told about the Boulevard Tavern by a neighbor. We have ordered takeout twice from them in the past 6-8 weeks. The food is marvelous! Today we ordered the Teriyaki Rice Bowl and the Cuban Pot Roast. Both were cooked to perfection and seasoning was wonderful. The beef in the Cuban Pot Roast was tender, and could be cut with a fork! The vegetables in both meals were cooked perfectly and had a great texture and fabulous flavor. We can't wait until we're able to go there and eat in to sample their customer service in person! read more
