Wow! Great value for your money. I ordered the wonton noodle on Uber eats and it has the buy 1 get 1 free promotion. Typically when there is a deal such as "buy one get one free" it is always very questionable, but to my surprise, the food was excellent. The broth was fresh and light. The noodle was perfectly cooked and chewy. The wonton which has pork and shrimp tasted authentic. The best part is service was fast and efficient. You can't beat such value nowadays, especially if you're in Honolulu vacationing. Not sure about the ambience, because I've never been there, but I'm sure to visit them next time around. I knew about this place ever since their Ohana Hale Marketplace days and wanted to give them another try. Waiter took our order and the service was fast. I ordered the chicken rice (6.8/10) and found it to be pretty good. It's not the most authentic Singaporean chicken rice and was a little bit on the oily side. Not sure I would get this dish again but their spicy wontons were delicious. They offer dine in but I see many doing take out. The place is very small. Parking is very limited (both in the small front lot, and in the upper, back lot). The service is ok. We had the choy sum with oyster sauce, beef chow fun, cold cucumber with jellyfish (appetizer), pork belly with rice, and sticky rice. The sticky rice was great because it had a lot of ingredients (dried shrimp, lop cheung, shiitake mushrooms), so more ingredients instead of rice. Not too salty, perfect taste. The choy sum was tender and flavorful. The cucumber with jellyfish was ok (but just because I'm not such a huge fan) - it was done well. The beef chow fun was delicious. The pork belly with rice was very, very good. Very flavorful. My biggest complaint about this place is that the plates you get are small (4"), appetizer-sized plates. No other plates. Went to the beach and we couldn't figure out what we wanted so ended up at the old Sports Authority Ohana Marketplace. Honestly can't stand going in there - it's like an indoor version of the old International Marketplace. But there are some gems like Bo's. Only ordered the spicy won tons. My friend got the mild and I got it as hot as they can make it. The hot doesn't start hot but it sure does build. Comes with quite a few, so I was just biting off the meat sacks and dumping the rest so I could finish. Was really tasty and lot of filling. By the end I was very full and my lips were on fire. Went to Bo's Kitchen for the first time last week. I did not know they have a big parking lot in the back until after I ate my meal. We ordered their won ton noodles, chicken chow mien, and Hai Nan chicken. The chow mien looked salty but it wasn't, it was just right. We thought we ordered chicken chow mien but it had chicken and beef, regardless we enjoyed it. The Hai Nan didn't have any taste but the texture was good, if it had more taste it would have been good, the rice was really good. And the won tons were ok, we liked the noodles in the won ton mien. Wish we had more people to try more dishes, we would recommend and plan to return, especially since there is ample parking in the lot in the back. read more

We started off on a bad note, no fault of the restaurant, wanted to point this out for other Yelpers who maybe interested in trying this place out. The parking situation is horrendous... no open stalls and hardly any turnover to find someone leaving. Would highly recommend to bring someone to be dropped off and go inside and pickup the food and go back to the car. Will make every effort not to taint the review because of this bad experience. The homemade dumplings were solid, mostly on veggie based with the right amount of pork. The wrapping really holds well and not too thick. The wontons has a good mixture of shrimp and pork, another good choice. The pork hash was very large, liked that they didn't use an excessive amount of fillers. This is another popular and good dish to choose. The curry fish balls takes me back to memories in Hong Kong, it's easily my favorite dish on the menu. The beef brisket noodles was disappointing, just didn't meet the expectations, maybe it's too high based on the glowing reviews? The soup was good and mixed in with the brisket, very good deep beefy flavor. But the noodles were way too soft, even softer than rice noodles, although egg noodles were used. And the brisket was too tough, no tenderness at all, very chewy. Did they get the good attributes of the two switched? Perhaps they had a bad day as the most of the reviews spoke highly of the tenderness of the brisket... but with the parking situation, don't want to subject myself to frustration again, life is too short. We tried on both the weekday and weekend, it's the same issue. The portions are sized well, not too much and enough for folks with regular appetites. The prices are reasonable.. which btw, be careful on not being overcharged. Two separate situations where the first situation was charged won ton/beef brisket combo although only ordered won ton noodles and second time ordered beef brisket noodles and when repeating the order, they had the won ton beef brisket noodles combo. Noticed their prices are being increased several times which is understandable in today's inflationary environment. I got the beef chow fun for dinner. The portion size was a good size that it was filling. Though not many beef pieces inside it did have , the flavor was good. Service: It was good. The lady was nice. Food: I was disappointed. There was no flavor in two dishes we ordered. It was bland. I ordered the dumplings over udon noodles. The sauce had no flavor. My friend's dish with the meat over the look fun noodles also had no flavor. Very disappointed. The pork dumplings on the other hand were superb! Very delicious. I would eat those any time of day!!!! After seeing Bo's Kitchen on multiple Instagram reels, I thought it was high time that I went to try it out. From what I've seen, the must-try item were the spicy wontons, and I concur. We also tried a few other things, but the wontons were the true star. Spicy wontons: soft, juicy morsels of shrimp and meat. These little guys really surprised me as they packed a punch in terms of flavor. The sauce was delightfully spicy and the cilantro just gave it the extra freshness you didn't know you needed. (Recommend) Beef brisket w/ noodles: The beef in this soup is incredibly tender and gives you a generous portion chunks that you'd find in beef stew. The noodles were also soft but not over cooked. The book Choi was easy to eat but still held its crunch. Wonton soup w/ noodles: With the same wontons that are in the spicy wontons, you can't go wrong. However, the soup is not super flavorful so be fair warned. Zhajiangmian: "This is what it's supposed to taste like!" That was my initial reaction to this dish. I've tried the Korean counterpart Jiajianmeon quite a few times and have never been a fan of the pungent fermented black bean noodle flavor; however, this was anything but. I couldn't believe how subtle the flavor was and was very palatable with a subtle black bean flavor at the end. With the addition of the peanuts and cilantro, this dish was enjoyable. I'll have to try this dish at another Chinese restaurant to compare. Pork hash: Made with pork, there were little bits of chestnut that gave it a little crunch. It was surprisingly the toughest to chew, but still very juicy and plump. Black tapioca: For all the coconut lovers out there . It has coconut milk that you mix into the mini tapioca pearls and adzuki beans. Green Thai milk tea: the name was pretty spot on. It really tastes like a Thai milk tea but it's green. It also has a bit of a Samurai Ice aftertaste which grew on us. I noticed that everything here was incredibly soft without being over cooked; the noodles, the wontons, and even the book choi. However, I will say that the broth in general was quite light in flavor, but this might just be the traditional flavor. It didn't have a distinct flavor either, just salty and maybe starchy? Pro tip: do ask for their hot sauce (similar to chili oil sauce) because it really made the broth much more enjoyable. It's nice to see businesses still around after many moves of location. I first tasted the food from Bo's Kitchen when they were at Ohana Hale Marketplace. I remember their spicy won ton side dish was very tasty and they gave you a lot of pieces. Well, they may have moved to Beretania Street across from HPD HQ, but the food is just as good. The spicy won tons were plump and have a nice spicy chili oil on them. We also tried the hot n sour soup with noodles. It was not too spicy and had plenty of chewy round noodles and a peanut garnish. The beef brisket noodles were my favorite. Plenty of thin chewy egg noodles in a rich beef broth. The brisket was very tender and the chocolate sum added a nice touch of vegetable. All in all, a great meal. Service is prompt and polite. It's nice to hear loud Cantonese being shouted throughout the restaurant. If that isn't atmosphere, I don't know what is. The restaurant is very clean, with usual odd assortment of empty cardboard boxes for takeout orders. Worth a try if you like soup on a cold day like today! read more

Wowie! Was super impressed by this place because it was my first time ever trying Cantonese street food! Stopped by after our Black Friday shopping to get a nice but fast meal to eat and I've heard great things about this place so I figured why not give it a shot. First off, the dumplings and wontons are a 5/5 because of how stuffed they are. Filled with lots of green onions and a lot of other goodies that surely make you full and satisfied. The dumplings really were freshly cooked and the udon isn't like your typical soup udon but cooked udon with sauce which went perfectly with this dish. I love green onions so this was a win for me. My boyfriends got the rice noodles with wontons and the sauce on top that was very unique. It has a peanut butter taste that was sweet and salty. Super different but in the best way! And love rice noodles. They are like fat chow fun noodles in circular form. All in all, great first impressions and I would come back here again for the same order. Wow what a great find! We were in town and craving Chinese food, so we spontaneously stopped by this place. Plenty of parking. The food took a while, or maybe it seemed that way since we were hungry and have two hungry toddlers. We were worried any place would be packed at lunchtime on a Sunday. but we sat down right away. The spicy wontons have shrimp inside which I was surprised with since that wasn't disclosed on the menu, and most places I go to normally don't do that. The fried wings were great, loved the touch of dried garlic on them, the beef brisket wonton and noodle soup was good and those wontons also had shrimp so just a heads up to those who are allergic. The noodle soup wasn't as flavorful as I thought it was going to be but it still tasted good, I'd get it again. The service was alright, we weren't checked on very often I had to call our server over to get my water refilled and we were the only ones in there. She was nice though and I'm sure was busy with takeout orders as well. The restaurant was cute on the inside, I loved the pictures on the wall. Overall ambiance was definitely welcoming. For me, Bo's Kitchen is a homey on the grab Chinese eatery I can have inside OHM. There is something on their food that reminds me of my Chinese friends every time they try to cook me something when I visited them. Don't get me wrong, but I love Bo's Kitchen! It's just that the waiting time on your order is too long. The first time we have dinner in here, took us more than 20mins. The second time, took almost 20mins. (sigh) & I just don't have the patient to wait, all because I'm so hangry (hungry+angry) already & all I want is to just eat & comfort my growling tummy. The 1st I will understand coz that was UYE birthday celebration & sure the crowd at that time is crazy. But on the second time we came back, there were only two of us there waiting for our order. I know this is pre-made & freshly prepared but 20mins. of waiting? I don't. (sigh) Anyhow, I will still be coming back in this eatery. Love the food. Friendly staffs. Price is good. I used to go to the ramen place on beretania that Bo's now occupies. I also went to Bo's a few times at Ohana Hale before they moved to beretania. I'm glad they've found a more permanent space, but parking at their new location can be a little tight. Apparently there is parking in a garage behind the building, but I haven't had to do that yet. I love that they have a sit down restaurant now because I can eat more relaxed instead of in ohana hale which I always thought was awkward. I think they've also added to the menu, so there is something for everyone. I like the wontons in spicy sauce. They have the wontons in their "special house" sauce that is a little too much for me. I like the regular chili oil ones. You can even buy them frozen (without the sauce). The wontons have large pieces of shrimp and are some of the best I've had. I've also tried the beef noodles and the hainan chicken. Both are good. The service was friendly and I like that they have milk tea :) I'll be back for sure! read more

I really love getting the pig's ear cuz it's pretty much eat cartilage and the chicken gizzards as well! It's not your typical crunchy gizzards so it has a softer texture! The chicken feet as well omg, it's different from the one you get at dim sum! Really brings back memories of when I was younger! That was the kind of chicken feet I had growing up!! Great little restaurant located in Ohana Hale Marketplace. Actually went in search of rou jia mo from Xi'an Taste, but it was closed, so went wandering around the food court for an alternative and landed on Bo's Kitchen. They have an extensive menu of delicious sounding items, which made choosing lunch quite difficult. Decided on the Hainanese chicken rice and house special handmade wontons. The Hainanese chicken rice was just okay. The chicken itself was done right, but it's basic by design. Unfortunately, the rice was just so-so. Flavored, but a little dry and not as mouth-wateringly delicious as it should be in great chicken rice. The star of the dish was really the dark soy sauce, which was absolutely delectable and, along with the grated ginger, made it easy to overlook the shortcomings of the rice. Overall, not the best chicken rice I've had, but I'd still order it again since there aren't that many places to get it on Oahu. On the other hand, the house special handmade wontons were AMAZING. Three thumbs up. 6 stars. The filling is tasty. The wrappers the perfect consistency. Generous portion. Possibly the best wontons I've ever had in my life. Even better when I dipped them in the dark soy sauce from the chicken rice. They even offer frozen wontons to take home, which sounds great, but I'm afraid they wouldn't come out as good if I (re-)cook them myself.
