We were in Costa Mesa for the day and craved sandwiches. I'm glad it was recommended to us. Great quick bite. I was hoping they'd have fries, but they only have potato chips, which is fine. I ordered the chicken club and it hit the spot. My boyfriend ordered the Left Coast pastrami- I think- and he enjoyed it a lot. I've been a huge fan since 2018 and frequent the multiple locations but at the Costa Mesa one something Yelp worthy happened on 2/18/24. It was a tough day and I needed my go to sando (turkey club) to boost me up. I chatting with the cashier about my order, chip flavors, purchased a bottle of the secret sauce (I could drink this sauce if possible....i bring the turkey clubs with sauce bottle with me backpacking, I've even brought B&B sandos to the ski Mountian! Legit will be skiing, find a cozy spot in the snow to eat my sando and sauce lol it's pure joy!!!) okay, back to this day... the cashier did a random act of kindness that still sits with me today. I got back to work and opened my order to this small act of kindness that really elevated my day even more than the sando did, so Thank you to the sweet angel cashier with the beautiful tooth jewelry ( lol sorry girl didn't get your name) but you put a fat smile on my face :) see you next time!!! Loved their Turkado!! Half a sandwich alone is very filling and they aren't cheap with the turkey or avocado (they pack that sandwich so that it's definitely worth the amount you're paying for it). Personally, I'm a major fan of the onions but if you aren't the sandwich does that typically come with it so make that adjustment if you please. I was expecting a lot more. I arrived and told the 3 people I was a first timer and they just said take your time. That should of been the hint to leave. After staring at the menu they rambled off a couple that are popular so I ordered one of them a Tom's favorite or something then asked how I order beer as there is a bar with patrons and tables packed in the corner, she just asked what I wanted as I can not see the menu she is pointing at as I am at an angle and there are people at the bar I just ask for a bud light or equivalent. She said it's the #2. Well it's not. It's a spicy beer that I could not finish. The sandwich was cut with the bread hanging over the side and so it fell apart while trying to consume. In conclusion no one thought to check on me as I looked at them with questioning eyes as I write this review. The question I really wanted answered was how do I sit at the bar and order. Do you run a tab or do I order and sit down. Guess I'll never know. To the manager that responded, read the whole review and train your people better. I asked for a light beer and received one with twice the alcohol. The Mexican would of done fine. But I trusted your employees knowledge. That's bad on you for poor training. I went to Sprouts and got a very nice sandwich for a fraction of the cost, stoped at Nadys across the street for a six pack of Corona had a nice lunch back at the office. Oh and your 3 managers avoided eye contact every time they walked by me. New sandwich shop location just opened a week ago. I was able to take advantage of their BOGO deal emailed offer available through this weekend. Even though it was a very busy Friday night when we arrived, our orders came out very quickly within only 5 minutes. There were so many sandwiches that I was trying to decide between, but the California Delight was calling my California born name. Served on squaw, or what's now referred to as sweet prairie bread, with thinly sliced turkey, tomato, lettuce, cream cheese, sunflowers, and loaded with fresh sprouts. So healthy and tasty! I added avocado to it which just made it even more perfect! I took a bite of the Italian sub, and it was really good. They sell lots of beer here too, by the glass or pitcher, which many opted for tonight. This is gonna be a popular spot here in Costa Mesa. read more

This is an excellent spot for sandwiches. Ingredients are fresh and tasty and you have the option of spinach wrap and gluten free wraps if you don't like bread. They offer secret sauce on the side, which is essentially a very well made spicy mayo. They are clean as well. Pitchers and glasses are cleaned an additional time right before serving you and bathrooms are always clean. The only drawback I can see is that they don't have enough sides such as French fries. The rotating craft beer comes from an assortment of local breweries. They are a little IPA heavy on their selection, so if you're into that this is your place. The service is basically functional but man they all seem to be in a bad mood. This most recent visit they burned the meat in my sandwich badly and it was inedible. Board and brew coming to Costa Mesa may be the best thing to happen to me since moving to Southern California 8 years ago. My boyfriend and I are OBSESSED and go 1-2x a week. It's the place you can always count on for a fire sandwich and good beers. The vibes are right and on a weeknight it's mellow so if you want to post up at the bar and grab a beer and hit some Monday Night Football, look no further.
