We always drive by this spot and decided to check it out one day. This place is a very small diner and it's always packed usually during breakfast and lunch. Walked in and the menu is huge. We decided to get the biscuits and gravy breakfast special and try the chorizo and egg breakfast plate. The service was great and the ambiance is very fast paced. Starting with the biscuits and gravy. It was on social for 8.99' and you got a choice of bacon or sausage, 2 biscuits and gravy, and 2 eggs to order. The biscuits was fluffy, hot, and soft. The gravy had lots of flavor. Everything about the plate was good. I gotta give it a 5/5. The chorizo and eggs breakfast could use alittle love, but they packed that plate to the brim. It's almost enough to feed two people. The chorizo and eggs could use alittle more seasonings overall I give it a 4.3/5. I def would come back here. They're known for their breakfast burritos and I see why, they are FAT! read more

This place is perfect if your looking for that old school greasy spoon type food and atmosphere . Food here is great. However the prices on the menu don't match what the total is at the register. Service is always quick. I come for the food but not the prices. $20 for a burger, fries and drink is a little too much for me. Maybe because I don't eat out much and when I finally treat myself have to spend an arm and leg. Wish prices were more reasonable since I'm not getting more food for the same price as before. read more

Let me first start by saying that I rarely ever leave reviews. The only time that I will ever leave a review on a business is if it's either really really good or really really bad! THE FOOD HERE IS DISGUSTING!!! I gave this place 2 chances and both times I ended up in the restroom vomiting out the disgusting food they serve! First time, I tried their grilled chicken sandwich and I got food poisoning almost immediately after eating it, sweating, stomach with sharp shooting pain, nauseated!!! Second time, I tried their breakfast burrito and it was absolutely disgusting!!! The potatoes/so called hash-browns inside looked and tasted like someone literally chewed the potatoes in their mouth and then took it out and put it in my burrito! No taste or flavor in any of other things in the burrito. Also, they charge an arm and a leg for this disgusting food!! How the hell do people even eat here??? Will never go back!!! read more

Fresh food! It's quick too. They have a drive-thru. I got the Pastrami Burger Plus bacon and cheese, with extra mayo. It was good. I wish the pastrami meat was thicker. It was like very thin sliced deli meat. Next time maybe I'll just get extra bacon instead of pastrami. The fries were freshly cooked to order. Next time I'll ask for the fries well done. read more

I found a hidden gem for burgers and fries, you absolutely have to check out Tom's Place! This spot has quickly become my favorite, especially now that they're open on weekdays from 7 AM to 8 PM. I tried their signature burger, and let me tell you--it was incredible! The burger is massive and cooked to perfection. And the fries are perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! I can't wait to try more from their extensive menu because everything I've had so far has been fantastic. Huge shout-out to Panos for his friendly service and great recommendations! Husband brought us here for the first time with the kids. Great service, great food, great ranch dressing, great all around. Will definitely be back. This is the local burger spot. The food is not bad. The service is horrible. I've gone here three times. Every time I've gone, they've either forgotten fries, messed up my order, or charged me extra for bacon and then didn't even put it on the burger. Definitely will not be going back here if you like rolling the dice and seeing what you get this is your place. read more

Ok, I'm going to say it. Tom's Place has the best turkey burger & onion rings in Costa Mesa. Seriously. Quality ingredients, respectfully prepared and not at all greasy, super delicious, affordably priced and such sincere, helpful and amazing service from the people who work there. Burger patties are not even close to the advertised size of 1/3 lb. I know they shrink when cooking - I make myself 1/3 lb burgers all the time - but these were never as big as they claim. Tom's Place is a located on 17th St and Placentia, easy to miss because it' in an industrial/business area and is on the way to Hoag Hospital. It does have a dining area but I have only order by the drive-thru. While waiting for my daughter to get treated or admitted at Hoag Hospital I decided to stop for quick dinner. Called it stress eating, or nervous eating and boy I'm I feeling both I have been two diffetent times. I've tried the Pastrami sandwich. The Pastrami was tender and delicious I would def it otder it again. This time tried the Chicken sandwich w/fresh lettuce, tomatoes and a small order of fried zucchini both were on the larger size and are shareable . Even though this is a fast food place it is on the higher price but most places in this area are higher prices. The drive-thru service was good, I didn't have repeat the order and the order was correct..and the food was good. read more

Going to In-N-Out next time we want a burger and fries. Make sure to ask for the pizza dip too, it has a tangy flavor that pairs really well with it. The warm baklava filled with pistachios was a great dessert to finish the meal. Service was friendly throughout the visit, and I appreciated that the restaurant cooks without seed oils because the meal did not feel overly heavy afterward. Having lived in Southern California for many many years, I thought I had seen and experienced just about everything in the way of good places to eat. As I was driving around looking for some breakfast, I stumbled across oeb breakfast. And I am so glad I did. For starters, when you walk through the door, the place is bright and Cherry and has just the right amount of whimsy. It's neatly laid out and everything is in full view. It only took a moment my server to come get me at the front and direct me to a table. Let's talk about the service. Having been in the food service industry, I know what it takes to have a great dining experience. Caesar, who was my waiter, took care of me in a level that I have not seen in a very long time. Personable, gracious, accommodating, and helpful are just a few of the words I would use to describe my experience being served by him. I asked for coffee and water and within moments it arrived on my table. Side note, the coffee is off the chain! It is a brand called Umbria and it is amazing. After scanning the menu, I opted for the beef bulldogi Benedict with the beef Tallow fries. I asked for the fries extra crispy, and ask for my milk to be served with breakfast. If you've read any of my Yelp reviews on breakfast places, you know that that is one of my litmus tests for the accuracy of the order. If I have to ask for my milk after the meal's been delivered, they're not doing their job. Not that I'm picky, for me. It is just a way to determine how good of a listener the server actually is. It didn't take long at all for the food to be delivered. The presentation was absolutely amazing, as we eat with our eyes. First, I have to say that the way the food was plated was definitely a work of art. Once the food was dropped off half of me was going. I wonder if they will remember... And before I could finish my thought Caesar showed back up with the milk. Home run! The food itself was absolutely wonderful, I cannot remember when I have enjoyed a breakfast as much as this one. All the flavors were there, it was perfectly balanced, and was just a pleasant dining experience overall. Bragging on Caesar again, as I was sitting there, the restaurant started to get very busy, he handled himself with such Grace and poise and didn't let the mounting tension frazzle him.
