I wanted to really like this spot based on reviews but I wasn't much of a fan of the tuna salad sandwich. The bread was soft and good but the tuna lacked flavor overall. There was only mayonnaise on my sandwich and I think the ratio of lettuce and tuna threw it off for me. Well I was excited to try this place after visiting Zarape yesterday. Since I have never been here . As we walked in ( the hubby and I) I was ready to walk out. Mind you there was no lines so I don't know what the heck was the rush.... Damn cashier hates her life or I don't know what the problem was. She was upset or something.... Rushing us off ??!!! First time here hello??!!! So I ordered a turkey club rushing and my hubby ordered the Italian. The cashier was rude of course she is not wearing a name tag. My hubby wanted to stay so we ate here. Food is slightly on the pricier side, $15 for the sandwich but it was very generously stuffed and surprisingly got me pretty full with some leftovers to take home. Although it was packed for their special BOGO promo, the food came out fast. You order at the front and your food is brought out to you. I got to try the Italian, Veggie, Tom's Choice, and Turkado. All 4 were so delicious! The sauce that the sandwiches come in compliments the sandwich so well. My favorite was the Turkado. It was nice and packed with a ton of veggies and flavor. New month, new review, new rating I decided to revisit Board and Brew after reading the owner's (Rhett) response to my first review. I appreciated his apology and wanted to give them another chance. Plus, I can't resist a good sandwich shop. Upon arrival, I was helped by Rhett who quickly processed my order. Again, I got a chicken sandwich on a wrap (no mayo) while my husband ordered the Baja Beef (no mayo). During our wait, I noticed that the store was clean and organized. The atmosphere wasn't as lively as our previous visit, but was now more relaxed. We didn't have to wait too long for our order to be ready so kudos for the fast, friendly service. When we got home, I excitedly opened my to-go bag and saw two huge sandwiches made to order. And now for the taste test... Chicken club wrap: this was yummy to say the least. I love the crunch from the bacon and veggies. Baja Beef: the bread was warm and tastes fresh. It was similar to a Philly cheesesteak but with a little spicy kick thanks to the jalapeño. This location is within a SUPER busy shopping center. The sandwiches were good but I would for sure say their "special sauce" is an acquired taste. It was packed at 1 pm and there was only one table available. But the food came out in 5 minutes or so. The sandwich tasted very fresh and flavorful. I was not a fan of their french dip sandwich because the broth was bit salty for me and horseradish was STRONG. But the sandwich with turkey, avocado and sprouts was on point. Whatever the sauce they give you on the side was very tasty. I only had one beer and it was good. I will have to come back to try different beers on tap. They have about 10 different beers.
