Great food, great service, great casual vibes. This place is now a weekly tradition for our family. Big fan of the Baja chicken sandwich. Fresh and clean ingredients (no mayo), not salty at all. Love that local teens work at the place, sometimes that leads to inconsistencies in the sandwich but that has become part of the fun. So glad they opened up here. Nice work team. read more

Our family loves Board and Brew and this location in particular is awesome. Fantastic outdoor patio to grab a beer or enjoy a dinner with friends or family. The owner of this one (Jacob) is super friendly and makes you feel like you've known him for years. Staff is friendly and service is great. The Cobb salad was fantastic with plenteous amounts of chicken and all the toppings. Great atmosphere. Food is great, service is Hell. If you get here within 30 minutes of closing, the Napoleon Dynamite looking guy with straight hair will ride you all the way until you leave. As I ordered, this guys says, "...and we close in 20 minutes." I barely got to my credit card and he walked away without giving me any further service. While people were eating and getting their next beer by the friendly girl tending bar, he was walking around turning chairs upside down and placing them on table tops. The restaurant closed at 8p, however, he and the crew needed to be somewhere by 8:05p. The girl behind the bar was friendly all the way until the doors closed. She ran it like a normal restaurant. I almost wanted to announce, "everyone, please eat as fast as you can because this kid is showing us he needs to be somewhere five minutes after close." Had I been a supervisor I would've sent him packing. If you're eating g here within 30 minutes of closing on a Sunday night...come in and check this guy out. It's almost as if you're on Punk'd....it's so bad. I hope the Ladera can get someone more responsible than this guy. read more

Board & Brew is one of the best establishments in Ladera! Edgar, Kayla, and Emma provide exceptional service and the food is always great! It's a very laid back, casual vibe and I love the Happy Dads! Today I watched some underage kids attempt to purchase a pitcher of beer using a fake ID...I was kind of impressed by their boldness, and I have to commend the bartender for making the uncomfortable move to deny them. I have much respect for her as she upheld the integrity of the restaurant we love and frequent weekly. I know our community would be extremely sad and disappointed if Board & Brew were shut down (or fined) due to getting busted for serving under age patrons. I just saw the previous 2 negative reviews today (6/28/23) and had to speak up. Please don't pay attention to these reviews...clearly they are connected to these kids who tried to pull a fast one today. If you decide to come here, you won't be disappointed!! Saw it new on Door Dash, and tried the pastrami. It was excellent!! The pastrami was great! I was concerned that the toasted French Baguette might be too hard .. I've had them where the insides of the sandwich just squeezes out .. but this baguette was soft and tender. A perfect companion to the pastrami! I will be back often and recommend this establishment to anyone!!! read more

The bar service here is an absolute joke. I was in today age 22 out of state on vacation and others I was with age 21. Came in for a beer and sandwich. Bartender refused to serve us stating we are not 21. Refused to accept our official age 21 ID. After not accepting them she began making fun of us to the other patrons at the bar. Laughing cracking jokes about how she takes fake ID's and cuts them up. Whole bar was laughing at us. Again we are of age. We gladly would of liked her to call the police because we were of age and based on the fact that she thinks she knows real and fake ID's she decided not to serve us. Beyond horrible. Beyond unprofessional and beyond the worst customer service I have even received. If your that concerned with ID's get a black light and show proof they are fake. This older lady behind the bar today needs to get better at facing the fact there are adults age 21 and over who may look younger but are legitimately able to get a beer and a sandwich. She also needs to take some serious classes in customer service. She was downright awful and could have dealt with this in such a different way. You don't make fun and point at the patrons and laugh and say you " cut up ID's. " my own government property, If she did that I would be out my real drivers license. Never will I step foot in this place again and If I do for a beer I hope to have a better bartender and actually get a beer. read more

We went here just after they opened and all I can say is WOW! Most places are scrambling when they open to figure things out but our dinner was perfect. We ordered at the counter and they give you a number then you order beers at the bar. $3 beers through the end of Feb...are you kidding me!!! Best deal in OC! I had the chicken club and my wife got the tuna with avocado. Both didn't take long and were really fresh. There's plenty of parking and lots of outdoor seating too so we felt very safe. Several employees came by and asked if we needed anything else and cleared our table as the beer kept flowing. Not many fast casual places have this level of service. The restaurant inside was extremely clean as well as the bathrooms. When I went to get another beer the bartender even remembered my name. When we were finished they had foil set out to wrap up my sons leftover grilled cheese. They thought of everything! At first I was skeptical as Ladera Ranch is a bit far away but it's right off Crown Valley at the very start of Ladera so it wasn't that far. We've been to other locations and this one is just as good if not the best location of all. We will definitely be back for some more sandos!!! read more

Our Sandwiches were fine. The problem here was the missing secret sauce, we specifically asked for it on the side. I ordered online pick up. I grabbed the bag my order was in and to my dismay there was no secret sauce in the bag. I should have double checked the order like I usually do. The first time I ordered pick up here I double checked the bag to make sure it was correct and it was. Not this time though. Just make sure you double check your pick up order. read more

Looked very busy from the outside, went in anyway. Had 2 registers operating. Cashiers were great, polite and helpful. Ordered 2 sandwiches which were ready in about 10 minutes. They were great and a great value. Good portions and fresh. Would highly recommend and I will definitely go back! read more
