    Seafood Boil
    Ashley S.

they are soo generous with the seafood boil sauce! the sides we got (calamari and onion rings) also came in large portions and were very crunchy! the restaurant was pretty quiet when we came in, but it's definitely worth a try if you're craving seafood boil.

Always a go to when I'm craving a seafood boil! If you order two pounds of seafood, they will add free sausage and a corn. I have no complaints about the food! My go to order consists of the clams, crawfish, and the oysters! The staff is also very nice, and because I go so often with friends, they have even started to recognize and memorize our orders!

Boat House specializes in Cajun boiled seafood. The place is spacious with a nautical/pirate theme throughout. I know some people like to eat with their hands and get messy with their food, but I'm a Bougie B with an I to the T to the C to the H and prefer not to mess up my couture so I ordered the clams & peeled shrimp (spicy), while my friends indulged in the crab leg boil. The house sauce had a nice flavor and a good kick. The shrimp was tender & the clams were fresh. Our server was attentive, and my friends enjoyed their feast. *Beer, wine, & sake

I really like Boat House. Their garlic butter shrimp flavor is so good and fried zucchini is my go to as well. Staff is friendly and attentive, portion sizes are great, AB's restaurant is clean. My only con is parking. It's very compacted and limited, but there are other parking areas near by.

Man I've lived down the street from the boat house and never went because we were only into the boiling crab but hated the hour wait times. So one day I was craving seafood and happened to come across the Boat house Believe me when I say this place is underrated the food is good and the price is great. The fried fish was ok but the seafood boil was great. We got 1lb peeled shrimp mild house special and 1lb full shrimp spicy house sauce both with potatoes and sausage and corn on the cob along with rice. For about 85 bucks not bad! Definitely coming back

Second time I come here and wanted to try something different. I ordered peeled shrimp and calamari. I love it but my sister in law wasn't a fan of it. I really enjoy our meal and we split the bill. Enjoy!

It was my first time experiencing seafood in a bag and I absolutely loved it! The house seasoning really took my shrimp and corn on the cob to another level! We also ordered the garlic bread which we dipped in the seasoned juice and it was scrumptious. To elevate this wonderful experience to the next level we enjoyed it with some ice cold shock top

Gloria's food legit makes my mouth water! I think the lighter food caters to health conscious elderly folks more. Still good, just not mouth watering lol. We came here around 5:30PM and the traffic to get to Shrimp House was pretty bad. Found out that you can enter from Myrtle and from Live Oak. We were on Myrtle and went onto Live Oak thinking that was the only entrance.. that was a mistake due to the backed up traffic during the time. When we got there, we were seated at a table. It was pretty crowded, full of older people. The guests were friendly and seemed to be regulars of the place. When the waitress came to us, she took our order. We ordered: Popcorn Shrimp - Loved this sooo much! Reminds me of Sizzler. Popcorn shrimp was hot, fresh, and had a crispy batter! The actual popcorn bedding added to the theme :) 9/10 Ceviche - We got the Mexican style and it was good. Not as good at Kickin Shrimp, but it was a good appetizer to start with. 7/10 Clam Chowder - This clam chowder reminds me of Sizzler's clam chowder. It was creamy and thick, and had a few bits of clams. 7/10 Grilled Seafood Sampler - The fish was nice and flaky. Very flavorful with the seasoning that they used. The shrimp was nicely grilled. We were not a fan of the bell pepper that was on the skewer that bled into the shrimp itself. The flavor was a bit intrusive considering shrimp already has a light flavor. Finally the scallops were a pass. Just grilled, nothing amazing. 7/10 overall Shrimp Scampi Linguine - Not sure what the hype was about, but this was the most forgetful dish I had here. The linguini was a bit soft/overcooked, the fettuccini sauce was thick and not too cheesy, but more creamy, if that makes sense, and the shrimp was just shrimp (possibly the grilled shrimp) and was just drowned in the fettuccini sauce and lost any natural flavors it would've had. 3/10 Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream: Out of the disappointing Shrimp Scampi Linguini, the Lava cake made up for it. We do not usually get dessert, but we were sure glad we got this. Similar to the pazooki from BJ's, but a hot choco cake instead. I can do without the whipped cream though, since I don't like it too much. 8/10 Overall, this place is a small, quaint place for seafood. The appeal is the hometown feel, friendly service, all while providing good, affordable seafood.

The ambiance of the place didn't look really busy when we came inside, they did have some tables for seating but not a lot, but there was quite a number of customers coming in for take away. They had bottled drinks available in a fridge which I didn't remember from last time as well as made it order boba drinks which I remembers seeing the menu. The staff would hep take my order and then plate it once the fish and chips was ready. I got chow mien for both combos and char siu, orange chicken, mushroom chicken, and teriyaki chicken. The fish and chips took about 10 minutes which they asked me if it was ok and yes I wanted it. I got my order to go and ate at the house. The fish and chips were huge, each piece was like the size of a fish! The chips were soft and some crispy, I think they were very good. The rolls were warm and made wonderful sandwiches out of the fish. The Chinese food was delicious, my son ate the teriyaki chicken and noodles. I loved the mushroom chicken and char siu, ate most of them! Orange chicken was good, but the other dishes were much better. Overall, I did enjoy the food and would definitely go back for fish and chips!

The environment is family-friendly, with several tables occupied by kids and families. Just be aware that the music and overall noise level are fairly loud. Service was attentive and they checked up on us regularly. We ordered 2 dozen oysters ($1.50 each), the fish and chips ($11.50), mussels and clams ($10.50), and a beer. The oysters were fresh, mostly clean, and came with the usual accompaniments. My only minor complaint is that small seafood forks would have been nice to have available. The mussels and clams were the disappointment of the meal. While the broth itself was flavorful, the portion was downright sad. We received only 4 mussels and 4 clams total, and the bowl felt almost empty. The standout was definitely the fish and chips. Dare I say the best fish and chips I've ever had? The batter was well-seasoned without being overly salty. The fish was crispy, hot, flaky, and surprisingly not too greasy. The fries were also excellent, with a crunchy exterior and fluffy, mashed potato-like interior. I would absolutely order this again. Overall, for happy hour, come for the fresh oysters and fish and chips. Skip the embarrassingly skimpy bowl of mussels and clams.

Got in line more than 10mins early - and I literally saw my pickup order waiting on the side of the register area, of which they had ONE PERSON working the register on a holiday, causing the line to go out the door. Sweet . No way to just be like - hey, can I get my food? No - order ahead, and still wait in a line that is out the door because the Dodgers played an hour ago, and now the World Cup is on - ON FATHER'S DAY- and we don't want to pay more than one cashier during this craaaazy time. ‍‍‍ Received my food at 4:30pm (after being there at 4:15 and ALREADY SEEING IT SAT THERE), and I even told the person at the register "it feels cold," and she said "So sorry!" I believe her, because it's not her fault (it's management/ownership)- but she just looked at me so I left. Ordered a chili cheese burger: Asked for chili on the side so the bun wouldn't be extra gross and soggy during the 11 minute drive home. Got a regular double burger, with no cheese. Also, no chili on the side. Or on the burger. It was just a mediocre double hamburger.....yay? My fish, which admittedly I dipped into on the drive home...? Not cooked. It was literally so gross I spit it out. The outside wasn't flaky/crispy - it was cold, moist, and uncooked. Because it touched the "wedges", all of it was thrown out. We ordered pizza. Clearman's is officially, and forever going forward, a no-go. I'm sure it's meh for dine-in, because we've dined in before. But to-go? Absolutely no.
